Back-to-back weeks in France as the 2024 Hauts de France-Pas de Calais Golf Open begins Thursday.
The tournament will occur from September 12th– 14th at Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club near Saint-Omer in France.
Like the past two editions, the tournament is co-sanctioned between the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS) and the Alps Tour. Therefore, the event field will be split in half between players belonging to both tours, 66 players from each tour. However, the competitors will be competing for two separate prize funds and two separate titles.
This will be the third year this event is part of the Alps Tour schedule. In previous years, it was a MasterCard Tour event, a European Challenge Tour event, and a DP World Tour event.
There will be two pro-ams during this tournament week. On Tuesday September 10th, a total of 9 teams, with 2 professionals (1 Alps Tour player and 1 LETAS players), will play in a pro-am with tee-times that will run between 12:50 p.m. and 1: 40 p.m. local time.
On Wednesday, September 11th, approximately 24 teams (12 Alps Tour players and 12 LETAS players) will take part in the traditional Tour Scramble shotgun pro-am, which will begin at 1:30 p.m. local time.
A strong field of players is expected this week at the 2024 Hauts de France-Pas de Calais Golf Open co-sanctioned tournament with the LETAS. The majority of this season’s past winners will be competing in the 66 players field this week, including the 2 times season winners: France’s Théo Boulet and Brandon Kewalramani from the United States as well as last week’s winner at the inaugural 2024 Longwy Alps Open, France’s Damien Perrier. The only season winners that will not be in the field this week, will be, Austria’s Maximilian Steinlechner, who won the 2024 Gösser Open, and France’s Antoine Auboin, who won the 2024 Lacanau Alps Open.
Nine of the Top 10 players in the current Alps Tour Order of Merit rank will compete in France for the 14th event of the season, except for number 10, Austria’s Maximilian Steinlechner.
France’s Vincent Helly, who has twice won the Pas-de-Calais Paragolf Open and, in 2020, the title of French National Paragolf Champion, will compete this week alongside the Alps and LETAS players.
It will be an important week for the Alps Tour players trying to capture the decisive points and make a final move in the Order of Merit rank. At the end of the season, the top five players will gain access to the 2025 Challenge Tour.
The 66 players scheduled to play this week represent 13 different nationalities. They will compete for a prize fund of € 40.000 and 45,000 Order of Merit points. The winner of the 2024 Hauts de France—Pas de Calais Golf Open will earn €6,400 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.
This week, the players will compete in 54-hole stroke play, with a cut made after 36 holes to the top 30 players and ties.

The Course
Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club is a 6182 meters, par 71 course in Saint-Omer, France, that opened for play in 1990. It is the only golf course in France designed by Dutch golfer Joan Dudok van Heel. It is set in the middle of a natural site, with spectacular views of the Valley of the AA. The course has an undulating terrain surrounded by trees that offer various challenges to each player. Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club is ranked among the top 30 courses in Northern France. It is home to 27 holes: an 18 holes championship course and a 9 holes course, which is ideal for beginners or players wanting to improve their short game.
It has hosted an annual professional tournament since 1997, belonging to different tours. In 2000, it became part of the European Challenge Tour. In 2003, it became an official DP World Tour event. However, it was removed from the DP World Tour schedule in 2014 as the tournament took place during the same week as the US Open. Thus, it remained a Challenge Tour event until 2022, when it became a co-sanctioned Alps Tour and LETAS tournament.
