Alexandre Vandermoten heads into final round chasing fourth Alps Tour title

Saint-Omer, France, September 11th, 2026 – Alexandre Vandermoten will head into Saturday’s final round of the Hauts de France–Pas de Calais Open with a fourth Alps Tour title firmly in his sights. Fresh from his victory at last week’s Longwy Alps Open, the French rookie is now looking to make it back-to-back wins and claim his fourth title of the season.

Vandermoten carded a 69 (-2) on Friday, featuring four birdies and two bogeys, both coming at the start of his back nine. He will take a two-shot lead into the final round.

Ireland’s Hugh Foley climbed into second place with an impressive 66 (-5). He shares the position with Spain’s Victor Garcia Broto, runner-up at the UGolf Aravell Andorra Open, and Italy’s Filippo Bergamaschi. The trio sit two shots behind the leader. Three players sit just three shots off the lead, with France’s Nicolas Calvet, Italy’s Filippo Grossi and England’s Archie Smith still firmly in contention heading into the final round.

On the LET Access Series side, France’s Lucie Malchirand leads the way by three shots from Switzerland’s Natalie Armbruster and England’s Ellie Gower.

The final round will begin at 9:40 a.m. local time, with all players teeing off from the 1st tee. The winner will receive €7,680 and 6,525 Order of Merit points. In the event of a tie, a sudden-death playoff will determine the champion.

Alexandre Vandermoten : “It was a little more difficult today. The weather was definitely different compared with yesterday, and I felt the ball wasn’t flying as much. I missed a few greens, but my chipping was very solid today, and my putting was solid too.

I was -2 on the front nine, so I was pretty happy with that. Then maybe I forced things a little on two holes and didn’t manage to save the putts. But I recovered well. I’m very happy with another two-under round.”

Hugh Foley : “I feel like I’ve been playing well for the last few weeks without really getting any scores in. I’ve been frustrated with myself because I’ve been playing range golf rather than actual golf. I’ve just worked hard on staying in the moment for every shot and trying to actually score and play golf rather than trying to hit good shots. Today was much better.

I got off to a rubbish start and hit it in the lake on the 10th. It wasn’t a good start, but after that I relaxed. I had a bogey on the 1st and played well after that. I probably had about six up-and-downs in the first 12 holes. My short game and putting were good today and kept me in it. Then I took my chances on the easier holes.

I’ll stick with the same strategy tomorrow. I was in the final group here last year as well, and I was leading after six holes when play was called off because of thunderstorms. For some reason, I really like this golf course. I’ll keep doing what I’m doing, playing every shot as it comes. Hopefully I’m in with a chance with six holes to go, and then we can look at whether we need to change the strategy. Otherwise, I’ll just keep going the same way.”
