Bihan on top of the race
Alan Bihan kept the lead of International Open Le Fonti by shooting 68, 4 under today and increasing his margin with a 3 stroke advantage. Although he teed of at 8:00 this morning, he suffered of high temperature as there was no wind. His father and caddy shared feelings as soon as they left the last green.
“ He is so relax as he decided to relief himself of pressure. He hit the ball straight and had a solid putting. He only made two mistakes today and each time it was when he had 70 meters for the pin and did not adapt his strength on these small shots. But it would be a lie if I said I am not happy.”
As last week, Frenchman Alan Bihan is going to play in the last group for the last day and as last week, Italian Nunzio Lombardi joined him scoring 65 for a total of -8. Young winner of Open d’Ile de France last Sunday is still on the great trend.
“ I played so well, you know I feel so confident since I won last week. But this morning when I wake up it was hard because I felt tired. Then, when I started playing, everything went the right way.”
Moises Cobo, is third alone adding a 70 to his yesterday 67.
Some players are more expected to be on the top of the leaderboard and Matteo Delpodio is one of them. He has just lost his first place at the ranking and all Italian supporters wished to see him play his game. After signing for level par yesterday, Delpodio recovered his level of game. He shot 66.
“I think that I could not play better than today. I was putting for birdy almost on each hole. I holed 6 but it could have been even more. I have made only one mistake, I did not hit driver on the short par four number 6 and I almost lost my ball on the high rough. Tomorrow, I hit driver.”
Delpodio is fourth tie with another Italian player Andrea Zanini.
Last but not least, another previous 2010 winner appeared on leaderboard. Spanish Juan Bragulat shot stunning 64, with 9 birdies. He only dropped one shot on the last hole but still feel in the mood to be the challenger.
The cut is fixed at +1.
