France’s Edouard España (c) Matthieu Vitré won the 2013 Masters 13 with three shot margin over fellow Frédéric Abadie and Thomas Linard. With this win, España secured his place in the Alps Tour Top 5 to play the Challenge Tour next year.

“I am so happy, this year was amazing and to finish with a win. I thank all the Alps Tour staff, I played 10 events this season and each time was great. Am I am so happy that my father arrived this morning to see me. Last time he came to see me it was in 2011 for the Mouchy Event and I won.”

“This win is really different from the one in Madrid. In July, I came from behind and overtook the leaders but this week , I have been on top of the leaderboard almost since the beginning. A big thank too to my coach, Olivier Leglise. We have been working together for 10 years now. He made me become a better player and a better man as well.”

The last event was cruel with one player, Jesus Legarrea as he mussed the cut he went out of the top 5. But the 2013 vinyard is great and they, all of the five players, can make the cut at The European Tour Final Stage and free a spot for the Spaniard.

England’s Jason Palmer, won the order of merit 2013 with the biggest margin ever, more than 12 000 € from second, Edouard España. England’s Steven Brown, takes third spot and compatriot Evans, thanks to his last week win, grabbed fourth place. Austria’s Lukas Nemecz eventually gets the last spot finishing at 5th in Masters 13. Nemecz has a “thing” with Pont Royal. He holed the second hole, a par 3 in one today, as he did last year during last round as well!

The Alps Tour season is completed, best of luck on Challenge Tour!
See you in February for first 2014 event of a surprising schedule…
