Sébastien Gros leads late complete first round

361

France’s Sébastien Gros finished his first round this morning after play was suspended the overnight due to dangerous situation. He holed 2 birdies early in the morning as play resumed at 7:00 and scored 66, minus 5.

Gros captured his maiden win 2 weeks ago in France and confidence is a new skill in his bag. As example of this magic feeling; he saved a par from nowhere on 16th hole. His tee shot landed in a think forest on this right of the fairway. He managed to hit a recovery shot that found the fairway as a miracle “I did not expect my ball to be there” he said. He holed the put to save par and only drop one shot on the 5th hole.

Young Belgium Hugues Jr Joannes is only one stroke behind. Joannes, 22 year old, is studying in Texas and was a member of national team. His biggest win as amateur is 2010 Belgium Open. He is in good for as proved his top 10 on EPD Tour in June.

Second round started with only 40 minutes delay and unfortunatly the weather is very poor with wind, big threatening clouds and wet atmosphere.Good news, storms are not scheduled for the day.
