France’s Nicolas Mourlon shot 62 and signed for the best score ever played on the Saint-Saens golf course. Fellow Michael Hill is second 3 shots behind and Italian Joon Kim climbed on the last step of the podium thanks to a 66.

It is quite common on Alps Tour that defending champion of a tournament doesn’t play. Past winners usually play on upper circuit and this week Matteo Delpodio is in Kazakhstan such as Former 2011 players, Matthew Cryer, Jason Palmer or Matthew Baldwin. They all are in the projected cut after one round.

But back to Normandy, the level of the game is very solid. Nicolas Mourlon played incredible golf and after 3 holes was already 4 under. He didn’t drop any shot during his flying round and none of the players could come even close to him Michael Hill; winner beginning of July, made only one mistake on his first hole then recovered consistence to score 65, 6 under par. The projected cut is fixed at level par.
