Maiden win for Terragni

Italian player Cristiano Terragni got his maiden win as professional after he fired best score of the day: 62, 8 under par. for -16 total The 20 year old rookie from Lake Maggiore area, had a geat week. He only dropped two shots in 3 rounds and ended 2 year wait for iIalian win in Italy on the Alps Tour. Last time was Marco Crespi on the same golf course in 2009.

Former player of Trophée Jacques Léglise continental team confessed his surprise: “I did not expected to win so early. My goal this season was to keep my card, I am very happy.”

At second place 2 shots back, overnight leader France’s Julien Foret. He signed for a 67, -3 not enough. Fellow Xavier Poncelet is third 4 strokes behind Terragni. Poncelet struggled a lot on par 3 during last day. He has lost 3 shots there and couldn’t do better than 68, -2.

Finally, amateur Domenico Geminiani, 15 year old and with status of “new Italian prodige”, finished at 16th place.

The Top 5 of Alps Tour ranking did not change after Feudo di Asti presented by Scavino Piaggio Veicoli Industriali. Cristiano Terragni is now very closed with 6th position.
