Gressier still leading the way in Abruzzo Open.
Slightly off with his game today, Julien Gressier shot 1 under to book his leadership on the second to last tournament of the season.
After a bogey on his 17th hole, the Frenchman holed a putt for birdie to finish 7 under par total, just one shot ahead fellow Nicolas Tacher.
The 28 year old player, who scored 1 under par on his first round, clearly went out of second gear today when he birdied 5 holes between 7th and 13th. Thanks to his card of 66, Tacher moved up at the second place, ready to chase for a maiden win on Alps Tour. Moreover, as currently 54th on the Tour ranking, no doubt he fancies managing his game tomorrow to catch a spot on Top 50 ranking before Grand Final in Israël next week.
At -5, Spain’s Larranaga and Italians Benatti, Cianchetti (am) and Maccario, who shot a flawless 65 today, share the last step of the podium.
Cut felt at level par, qualifying within the 43 only 3 players of the Alps Tour Top 10. As for now, thrilling changes on the ranking are still to come.
