Gösser Open has a special taste for players. The oldest event in Alps Tour international Schedule makes pros feel like at home. And those now playing on upper circuit missed this week in Austria.

England’s Jason Palmer admitted on his Twitter account that to him Gösser Open in the fifth Major on the season. Palmer won the Alps Tour ranking last year and for the first time in five years, he won’t attend the tournament in Austria as he is playing in Madeira.

Maria Lankowitz golf club is a friendly club and all members are well involved in their tournament. The nice little village near Graz only breaths golf, greens and faiways during one week. Rookies are surprised as the golf course doesn’t show its tricks at first sight but they will realize that it defends itself quite well from the pros assaults.

Defending champion, Northern Ireland’s Brandon McCarroll won back to back title in Gösser Open in 2012 and 2013. He will try to write another chapter of Alps Tour Records Book winning the title for the third time.
