Grand Final at Golf des Iles Borromees

We are glad to announce the confirmation of the Alps Tour Grand Final 2017. We will return to Italy and for the first time we will visit the Golf des Iles Borromées, near Lake Maggiore.
The tournament will be held from 19th to 22nd October 2017 and coincide with the 30th anniversary of the golf club.

The challenging 18-hole course (6122 meters, par 72, designed by Marco Croze) is situated 500 meters above sea level and offers a spectacular panorama, certainly extraordinary if not unique: from the plain of Ticino to the Swiss Alps, dominating the coast of Stresa, immediately to the Borromees Islands, which give the name to the golf.

Next to the nearby motorway connecting the Simplon (Switzerland) to Milan, Turin, Genoa and Varese, and just 30 minutes from the Malpensa Airport, the Golf des Iles Borromées, thanks to the determination of its President, Gianluca Parenti and the availability of the property, will be associated to the promotion of the Ryder Cup 2022. And the Golf Club found it important to welcome and share the strategy and commitment that the Italian Golf Federation and the institutions identify in the combination of golf & tourism. Stresa and Lake Maggiore are already a tourist destination and make the Golf des Iles Borromées an ideal venue for the Alps Tour Grand Final.

Our President, Marco Durante, thanks very much the Golf des Iles Borromées and the Italian Golf Federation for their support to this key event in our mission of Rising Golf Stars.

The tournament welcomes the top 50 players of the Order of Merit as 14th October and will distribute a prize fund of € 45,000. And will decide the first five players qualified for the Challenge Tour for the 2018 season!
