France suits to Pavon

Matthieu Pavon - Citadelle 14

France’s Matthieu Pavon

France’s Matthieu Pavon shot a 66 six-under-par card during first round in 2014 Citadelle Trophy International. England’s Andrew Cooley is one shot behind.

The leader and his challenger both enjoyed fast greens of Golf course de Preisch. The 22 year old Frenchman won his maiden pro title last May in France and his best result since this momentum was an 18th place in June in Open de la Mirabelle d’Or.

In the other hand, Cooley won the second event of the season in Egypt, and recorded two top 10 out of eleven tournaments.

A group of three players signed for a 3 under par card, Spain’s Alfonso Gutierrez, England’s Tom Wilde and Frenchman Thomas Elissalde. The latter, currently fifth at the Alps Tour ranking needs to add some points to secure his card to play Challenge Tour next season.
