Nino Bertasio took revenge from runner up place a forenight ago. He won his first title on Alps Tour with a three shot margin over a pack of five players.

Bertasio was in contention on home soil 2 weeks ago in Colli Berici Open but England’s Alex Christie had stopped his hope to be crowned in front of Italian supporters. But the 25 year old player confirmed his good form and that his game is pretty sharp. He was 5 shots clear going into last round and despite one over par 73 last card, he finally grab the wooden trophy of Open de Saint François Région Guadeloupe.

The battle for second place was kind of brutal with very good scores from France’s Raphaël Marguery -66- and Nicolas Tacher -68- for their best results ever. Alps Tour winner Spain’s Juan Antonion Bragulat, Frenchman Damien Perrier and Italy’s Giorgio De Filippi ended 54 holes with same scores total, -7.

Young 17 year old amateur from Martinique, Samuel Lamotte finished with brilliant 68 to share 7th position alonside France’s Clement Berardo who eventually made his first cut since his great Egyptian campaign.

With this win, Bertasio climbed on second place of Alps Tour ranking behind Thomas Elissalde.
