European Champion Manuel Trappel secures title at the Shoot Out powered by Freizeitinsel Piberstein

Pure excitement offered yesterday in the Andritz golf center by ten international players in a 9-holes Shoot-Out. After a sensational putt, Manuel Trappel from the Volrarberg region took the win ahead of Martin Wiegele and Anders Forsbrand. About 250 visitors attended the event.

From the first hole, the battle was launched between the two brothers Tobias and Lukas Nemecz. In the difficult chip Tobias showed strong nerves and put the ball closer to the pin.

On the other holes were shown fantastic golf. A further highlight Jürgen Maurer sat on hole 2: He punches in a Shoot Out unplayable “downhill chip”. On first holes, Roland Steiner dominated. But Manuel Trappel took the lead at the end of the match. On 6th hole, he punched a 10-foot putt for par, after a severe downhill bunker shot. On hole 8, he won the shoot-out against Anders Forsbrand.  And a grand final on last hole: with a birdie putt from about 15 meters, he won the winner’s cheque against Martin Wiegele.

Before the Shoot Out, the six times European Tour winner, Anders Forsbrand made a golf clinic, showing his skills and gave the audience a few helpful tips for personal game.
