This week in Cadiz, a new era for the Alps Tour members starts. The Top 4 of the final results of Alps de Andalucia will get points in to enter the Official World Golf Ranking.
At its recent meeting at The 144th Open in St Andrews end of July, the Governing Board of the Official World Golf Ranking approved the inclusion of the following New Tours into the OWGR System:
1 – Alps Tour Golf
2, 3 and 4 the other satellite tours
“The satellite tours form an integral part of the European professional golf structure providing a pathway to the Challenge and European Tour where the leading five professional players to a limit of 10th place are awarded Challenge Tour exemption status for the following season.
Additionally the leading 6 entrants from each Tour are given exemptions into the European Tour’s second stage of Qualifying School.”
