Welcome to the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT – The Male Tools & Co.!

Cassina Rizzardi, October 14 th 2024 – After a 15-week long season, it’s time for the final tournament of the 2024 season, the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT- The Male Tools & Co..To be eligible to participate in the renowned final this week, professional or amateur players must have participated in at least 5 events in 3 different countries. The first 50 professional players and ranked amateurs inside the ‘Top 50’ are eligible to compete, and besides being inside the ‘Top 50’ each player must be an Alps Tour member.

At the end of this week’s event, where the Final Order of Merit for the 2024 season will be determined, the top 5 players in the Alps Tour Order of Merit rank will earn a Challenge Tour – category 12b card for the 2025 season.

The 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT- The Male Tools & Co. will occur in Northwestern Italy at Golf Club Monticello in Cassina Rizzardi from October 16th– 18th, 2024. This is the 1st time Golf Club Monticello will be hosting the Alps Tour Grand Final.

On Tuesday, October 15th, the traditional Best Ball aggregate to Par Pro-Am will take place, with a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. local time. Twenty teams will participate.

The Field

The top-ranked players competing in this week’s season-ending event will battle it out for the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT- The Male Tools & Co. title, but more importantly, they will be competing to earn one of the 5 highly acclaimed 2025 Challenge Tour cards that will be given out to the top 5 players in the Final Order of Merit.

Thirteen of this season’s fifteen winners will be present: Aymeric Laussot, winner of the season opener. Brandon Kewalramani and Théo Boulet, who are both two-time winners this season, Jose Antonio Sintes Navarro, Edoardo R Lipparelli, Gianmaria Rean Trinchero, Mattia Comotti, Albert Boneta, Damien Perrier, Mario Galiano Aguilar and the most recent winner at last week’s 2024 Croara Alps OpenAlejandro Aguilera.

The most recent winner of the tournament is France’s Augustin Holé, who won it in 2023, at Asolo Golf Club. He will be in the field this week to try to defend the title he earned a year ago. Holé is currently 29th in the Order of Merit standings with 8,130.66.

The 47 players in the field this week represent 11 different nationalities and are competing for a prize fund of €50,000 and 60,000 points. The winner of the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT – The Male Tools & Co. will earn a check of €10,000 and 9,500 Order of Merit points.

The tournament will be played as a 54 holes stroke play event, 18 holes a day with no cut. In case of a tie for 1st place at the conclusion of the 54 holes, a sudden-death playoff will occur to determine the winner of the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT – The Male Tools & Co..

The Course

Established in 1974 the golf club was originally a farming estate of 140 hectares, just a few kilometers south of Como owned by the Panza di Biumo family who converted it into a modern design residential complex surrounded by two championship golf courses. Golf Club Monticello takes pride in being the first Italian golf club to have 36-holes, and is a continuing evolution, entrusted to different signatures, the last ones belonging to Jim FazioBaldovino Dassù and Graham Cooke.

The Founders’ Course was recently renamed to honor Alessandro Panza di BiumoMoi Castelli, and Luigi Caccia Dominioni.

The Founders’ Course (former Red Course) is a challenging golf course and a historic venue for the Italian Open, which was played here seven times between 1974 and 1992 and won, amongst others, by Billy Casper from the United States and Australian Greg NormanSeve Ballesteros and Nick Faldo were also among the players who competed during the various Italian Opens at Golf Club Monticello.

The course is slightly undulated, with small greens protected by bunkers. The fairways are broad and surrounded by high mountains. There a two artificial lakes and densely forested regions with overall ten thousand trees.

The 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT- The Male Tools & Co. will be played on Golf Club Monticello’s ­– Founders’ Course (6410 meters Par 72 course.)
