The 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final presented by DEPOT- The Male tools & Co. will be played at Golf Club Monticello
Cassina Rizzardi, September 13th, 2024 – We are proud to announce that the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final presented by DEPOT – The Male tools & Co. will take place from October 16th – 18th at Golf Club Monticello in Cassina Rizzardi, Como, Italy.
The 2024 edition of the Alps Tour Grand Final presented by DEPOT – The Male tools & Co. will mark the first time that Golf Club Monticello will host an Alps Tour tournament.

The players participating in the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final presented by DEPOT- The Male tools & Co, will compete over 54 holes with no cut for a prize fund of €50,000 and 60,000 Order of Merit points. The winner’s share will be of €10,000 and 9,500 Order of Merit points. There will be a sudden-death playoff in case of a tie after 54 holes to determine the tournament winner.
After the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final presented by DEPOT- The Male tools & Co., the top 5 players in the Order of Merit rank will be awarded a Playing Category on the Challenge Tour for the 2025 season.
The tournament is open to the first 50 Alps Tour professional players in the 2024 Order of Merit after the Croara Alps Open and to the ranked amateur members within the “Top 50”, but they must have participated in at least 5 events in 3 different countries during the season.
Entries to the event will be allowed to anyone who has a valid membership with the Italian Golf Federation (FIG) and will need to register with Golf Club Monticello either via email at [email protected] or by phone at the following number: +39 031 92.80.55. Golf Club Monticello is a gated community, and registration must be done before arriving at the entrance.

The Course
Established in 1974, the golf club was originally a farming estate of 140 hectares, just a few kilometers south of Como, owned by the Panza di Biumo family, who converted it into a modern design residential complex surrounded by two championship golf courses. Golf Club Monticello takes pride in being the first Italian golf club to have 36 holes and is a continuing evolution, entrusted to different signatures, the last ones belonging to Jim Fazio, Baldovino Dassù, and Graham Cooke.
The Founders’ Course has been recently renamed to honor Alessandro Panza di Biumo, Moi Castelli, and Luigi Caccia Dominioni.
The Founders’ Course (former Red Course) is a challenging golf course and a historic venue for the Italian Open, which was played here seven times between 1974 and 1992 and won, amongst others, by Billy Casper from the United States and Australian Greg Norman. Seve Ballesteros and Nick Faldo were also among the players who competed during the various Italian Opens at Golf Club Monticello.
The course is slightly undulated, with small greens protected by bunkers and the wide fairways surrounded by high mountains. There are two artificial lakes and densely forested regions with overall ten thousand trees.
The 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final will be played on Golf Club Monticello’s – Founders’ Course (6410 meters Par 72 course.)
