Aravell, July 1st 2023- Italy’s Manfredi Manica comes from behind to win his 1st professional tournament by 1 stroke, the 2023 Aravell Golf Open by Creand. In 2nd place, with a three-day score of 14 under-par, Ireland’s Paul McBride. In third place at 12 under-par, Spain’s Asier Aguirre Izcue and there is a three-way tie for 4th place at 9 under-par which includes: Italy’s Edoardo R Lipparelli, Spanish amateur Joseba Torres and France’s Oihan Guillamoundeguy.
The final round of the 2023 Aravell Golf Open by Creand being played at gorgeous Aravell Golf & Country Club began at 8:40 this morning under mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures. This was the 2nd edition of the event, which was created last year to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the host golf course.
Italy’s Manfredi Manica captures his 1st professional win at the 2023 Aravell Golf Open by Creand by 1 stroke. He shot a bogey-free final round of 5 under-par, 66 with 4 birdies in his last 6 hole for a three-day total at 15 under-par. He is 27 years old, turned professional at the end of 2021 and currently represents Golf Nazionale. After he sealed his 1st win, Manica was very emotional: “Today is a very emotional day, especially my back nine. I believe the key was to stay patient. I struggled with my putting on the first few holes but hit some great shots. Paul was playing great and I didn’t think I had a chance. On the 15thhole when I saw Paul struggled I managed to birdie and started to believe I had a chance. I went on to birdie 16 and 17 and tried to par 18th and see what happened.” When asked about what this win means to him, he added: “This obviously means the world to me. It’s a short season so every tournament is important this season and after this win the rest will be even more important as I now want to be in the top 5 at the end of the season.”
Paul McBride from Ireland concluded the tournament in 2nd place, only 1 stroke from the title. He was close to the top of the leaderboard all week and was in the lead after yesterday’s 2nd round. He shot a 2 under-par 69 today with 1 double bogey, 2 bogeys and 6 birdies for a three-day total of 14 under-par. He is 27 years old and represents The Island Golf Club.The tournament ends with Spain’s Asier Aguirre Izcue in 3rd place with a three-day score of 12 under-par. In a three-way tie for 4th place at 9 under-par: Italy’s Edoardo R Lipparelli, Spanish amateur Joseba Torres and France’s Oihan Guillamoundeguy.After the 10th event of the season, Netherland’s Kiet Van der Weele keeps his lead in the Alps Tour Order of Merit Rank. In 2nd place Ireland’s Ronan Mullarney and England’s Jack Floydd rounds out the top 3 spots. This week’s tournament winner moved into 11th place in the standings.Final Round

The 2023 Aravell Golf Open by Creand is promoted by former DP World Tour winner, Spain’s José Manuel Lara. He captured 2 wins during his professional playing career in 2006 in Hong Kong and in 2010 at the Austrian Golf Open.
The economic promoter of the tournament is Aravell Golf & Country Club and the title sponsorship of this week’s event belongs to Creand, which was named Crèdit Andorrà during the last edition of the tournament before the launching of its new brand Creand took place.
