Metz, June 15th, 2025- Italy’s Jacopo Vecchi Fossa maintained his lead to claim victory at the 2025 Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or, finishing with a three-day total of 13-under-par. Just one stroke behind in solo second place was fellow Italian Luca Memeo, while France’s Julien Quesne secured third place with a total score of 11-under-par. Rounding out the top five, a three-way tie for fourth place at 10-under-par featured Italy’s Flavio Michetti, Ireland’s Ronan Mullarney, and France’s Augustin Holé.
The Final Round of the 22nd Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or at Golf Domaine de la Grange aux Ormes, near Metz, France, began at 9:25 a.m. local time with a two-tee start from the 1st and 10th holes. However, at 10:13 a.m., play was suspended due to thunderstorms in the area. Following a delay of just over two hours, play resumed at 12:30 p.m., and the leaders teed off at 1:14 p.m. local time.

He delivered a steady performance on the final day, carding birdies on holes 4, 6, and 12, before closing with an unfortunate bogey on the 18th hole to secure the win in a tightly contested leaderboard. With today’s victory, Vecchi Fossa moves to the top of the Order of Merit standings and reflects on his composed approach to the final round. “Today I began my round just trying to hit the greens and make two-putts for par—that was my mindset,” he said. “I made two good birdies on the front nine, and after hole 11, it was the first time I looked at the leaderboard. I saw I was tied for the lead with Memeo, but my focus was still on shooting the lowest round I could, not on what the others were doing. I made some clutch par putts coming in, which is always a nice feeling.” Reflecting on the final hole, he added, “On 18, I was in the fairway and knew I had a two-shot lead. The pin was short left, and I hit the green on the right side. I had about a 30-meter putt and unfortunately three-putted, but it was okay. I played a bit more conservatively today compared to the first two rounds, but overall, it was a great week and a great tournament. I’m very happy to be back in the winner’s circle.” Vecchi Fossa closed by dedicating the win to those closest to him: “This win is for my team, my family, and my girlfriend Matilde. Fellow Italian Luca Memeo, just 19 years old, delivered an impressive final round of 5-under-par 65 to finish the tournament in solo second place, just one stroke shy of the win. He got off to a blazing start with four consecutive birdies on holes 1 through 4, then added an eagle on the par-5 10th hole. Despite a bogey on the 16th, Memeo handled the pressure with maturity, securing his best professional finish to date.
France’s Julien Quesne,44 claimed solo third place with a total score of 11-under-par. The experienced pro posted the lowest round of the day, a bogey-free, 8-under-par 62, making a strong charge up the leaderboard.
Following the 2025 Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or, Italy’s Jacopo Vecchi Fossa is the new Order of Merit leader with 20,631.38 points. In 2nd place, was Spain’s Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela with 17,472.75 points, and in third place was France’s Quentin Debove with 15,598.65 points.
