Thomas Elissalde from France overpassed overnight leader Matthieu Pavon. He scored 67 for -8 total and a narrow one shot advantage. The two players seemed to enjoy playing on their home soil and will play together during moving Saturday.

Pavon and Elissalde are both rookies on the Alps Tour, they both won the maiden title last May, Pavon in France and Elissalde in Austria the following week. But to Pavon, a ggod result here in Preisch, could help him to jump in the ranking.

“Since I won, I struggled a lot with my game. I had to fight to make the cut and I finished far away in the final ranking. I am very happy to be able to play well again.”

The young player from Bordeaux is now under Benoit Ducoulombier’s wings, National coach working as well with French star, Victor Dubuisson.

Thomas Elissalde from Biarritz managed to erase the bad feeling he had last week in Italy to recover his level of game. He holed seven birdies for only bogeys.

Finally, one shot behind Pavon, Germany’s Sebastian Heisele could prevent the two French guys from being crowned in their country.
