Egypt, February 27th, 2025 – The New Giza Open, a standout event on the 2025 Alps Tour, is poised to tee off at Egypt’s New Giza Golf Club with a vibrant field of 120 players from 20 nations. This international mix, spanning Europe, Africa, the Americas, and beyond, features professionals with strong experience, emerging talents, and local players, all chasing an early season advantage. With the Alps Tour’s history of launching players like Matt Wallace, Antoine Rozner, Adri Arnaus, Gregorio De Leo and many others to prominence, this season could reveal golf’s next breakout name. New Giza Golf Club was inaugurated in 2019, with its first professional event, the New Giza Open, held in March of that year. The Alps Tour officially launched both Sokhna and New Giza GC.

As the third leg of the Egyptian Swing commences this Saturday, Alps Tour Chairman Marco Durante extends his gratitude for an excellent start to the season. The Alps Tour 2025 Season began with the Ein Bay Open and Red Sea Little Venice Open at Sokhna Golf Club – a traditional fixture for the past 13 years – resulting in two notable winners.

This impressive beginning underscores the organization’s commitment to providing opportunities for players and sets a positive tone for the upcoming season. Chairman Marco Durante expresses his sincere appreciation for all efforts that have contributed to this success.

“As the Chairman of the Alps Tour, I would like to share a few words following the successful start of our season in Egypt. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Ali Mohammed Ali, General Manager of Sokhna and New Giza GC, for the outstanding organization and management of these opening tournaments that have been in our schedule for the last 13 years. Thanks to his efforts, we have been able once more to kick off the season in exceptional conditions, both in terms of play and overall logistics.

This early start to the season, made possible by Ali Mohammed Ali’s dedication, provides our players with the perfect opportunity to compete at a high level right from the outset. It sets a strong foundation for them to prepare thoroughly for the upcoming events on our calendar. We feel sure that also the New Giza Open will meet these high standards and we look forward to a very long-term friendship with Egyptian golfers.
