25 Years of Raising Golf Stars: The Alps Tour Presents Its 2026 Season
Paris, January 23rd, 2026- Since 2001, the Alps Tour has been driven by a clear and consistent mission: to provide young talented players with the opportunity to build a solid professional foundation and use it as a springboard towards the highest levels of professional golf. Created and managed by the French, Spanish, Italian and Austrian Golf Federations, the Alps Tour has progressively established itself as one of the key development tours within the international golf ecosystem, fully aligned with its long-standing philosophy: Raising Golf Stars.
In 2026, the Alps Tour proudly celebrates its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter of a century dedicated to player development, competitive excellence and career progression. While commemorating this important milestone, the tour remains firmly focused on its founding objective and continues to offer a demanding, educational and international competitive environment designed to prepare players for the next stages of their professional journey. To accompany this anniversary season, the Alps Tour also unveils a new logo, symbolising both its heritage and its ambition to continue raising the next generation of golf professionals.
Marco Durante, Chairman of the Alps Tour Golf, said:
“The Alps Tour is run with passion by a strong team, with a very clear vision and great expertise. I am proud to serve as President, but nothing would be possible without the close collaboration within the Board, with our Directors Estelle Richard and Alessandro Pia, with the founding Federations and all our stakeholders. The strongest proof of this came in 2020, when we managed, against all odds, to complete a very difficult and turbulent season in the players’ best interest. Today, we know it was the right decision, and we are ready for new expansion challenges in the next future.”
A Proven Pathway for Professional Careers
Since its inception, the Alps Tour has visited 15 countries, staged 446 tournaments (excluding Q-School) and distributed more than €18 million in prize money, highlighting the tour’s stability, resilience and long-term contribution to professional golf.
Throughout its history, the Alps Tour has played a central role in the emergence of players who have gone on to compete and succeed at the highest level of the game. Golfers such as Matt Wallace (England), Darius van Driel (Netherlands), Nicolas Colsaerts (Belgium), Felipe Lima (Portugal), Matthieu Pavon (France) Victor Perez (France), Antoine Rozner (France), Guido Migliozzi (Italy) and Ángel Hidalgo (Spain) all used the Alps Tour as a key step in the construction of their professional careers, before going on to shine on the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour, clearly illustrating the circuit’s role as a pathway to the world’s leading tours.
A 2026 Season Built on Competition and Opportunity
The 2026 Alps Tour season will run from February to October, across six countries, featuring a total of 19 tournaments, with one additional event still to be confirmed. The season will offer a total prize money of approximately 900,000 euros, with a minimum purse of €42,500 per tournament for professional players, and a total of 45,000 points to be shared among all members, both professionals and amateurs, on each event. Once again, the calendar will combine tradition and new venues, competitive golf and international exposure, culminating in the Alps Tour Grand Final.
At the end of the season, the sporting stakes will be significant. The top five players on the Order of Merit will earn full playing rights on the HotelPlanner Tour. Also, six players will earn direct entry into the Second Stage of the DP World Tour Qualifying School, opening the door to the DP World Tour and confirming the Alps Tour’s role as a key pathway towards higher levels of professional golf.
From Northern Africa to Europe
As has been the case in recent years, the season will start in Northern Africa, with Egypt hosting the opening stretch of the calendar. For the 13th time in the past 14 years, the Alps Tour will begin at Sokhna Golf Club, with two traditional events played on the shores of the Red Sea: the Ein Bay Open (February 17–19), followed by the Red Sea Little Venice Open (February 22–24). Players will then move on to Cairo for the New Giza Open (February 27 – March 1), contested at New Giza Golf Club.
Before returning to the Egyptian capital for two further tournaments — the Dreamland Open (April 9–11) at Dreamland Golf Resort and the Allegria Open (April 24–26) at The Allegria Golf Club — the tour will make a stop in Italy for the Villa Paradiso Alps Open (April 9–11), played at Golf Club Villa Paradiso.
The European swing will officially get underway at the end of April in Italy with the Miglianico Alps Open (April 30 – May 2), hosted at Golf Il Cerreto di Miglianico, before continuing in May with one of the cornerstones of the Alps Tour calendar. The Gösser Open (May 14–16), a fixture since the creation of the tour in 2001, will once again be played at GC Erzherzog Johann in Maria Lankowitz, Austria. The circuit will then move to France for the Lacanau Alps Open (May 21–23), before discovering a brand-new event: the Open de Roissy PGA France (May 28–30), hosted at Golf International de Roissy.
June will see the Alps Tour return to Spain for the Alps Andalucía – Roquetas de Mar (June 11–13), followed by the Aravell Golf Andorra Open by Creand (June 25–27), played at Aravell Golf & Country Club, close to the Andorran border. The summer stretch will continue with the Alps de La Gomera (July 2–4) in the Canary Islands and the Alps de Las Castillas (July 11–13). Before the traditional August break, players will compete for the second time in The Biarritz Cup (July 24–26) at Golf de Biarritz Le Phare.
September will feature two tournaments in France, starting with the Longwy Alps Open (September 3–5), played close to the Luxembourg border, followed by the Hauts de France–Pas de Calais Open (September 10–12), co-sanctioned with the Ladies European Tour Access Series.
The final regular-season event will take place in Italy at Golf La Pinetina, near Milan, where the Memorial Giorgio Bordoni by AON (October 7–9) will play a decisive role in the race for the rankings. The season will then conclude with the Hulencourt Alps Grand Final (October 15–17), open to the top 50 players on the Order of Merit, and played this year at Golf de Hulencourt in Belgium.
With its blend of tradition, innovation, and international competition, the 2026 season promises to deliver an unforgettable Alps Tour 25th anniversary for players and fans alike.
