Maxime Legros secures third victory of the season and earns HotelPlanner Tour promotion

France, June 7th, 2026 – Just one week after Andrea Romano, France’s Maxime Legros became the second player this season to earn automatic promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour by claiming a third Alps Tour title. Following victories at the Dreamland Open and the Miglianico Alps Open, the Frenchman added the Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or to his impressive 2026 campaign.

Starting the final round one shot behind overnight leader Enrico Di Nitto, the Dinard-based player needed only one hole to catch the Italian. He then took control of the tournament with an eagle, five birdies and a single bogey on his way to a superb 63 (-7).

Di Nitto, playing alongside Legros in the final group, could only manage an even-par round. The Italian nevertheless shared second place, six shots behind the winner, with compatriot Alessandro Nodari, who closed with a solid 65 (-5).

Ireland’s Robert Moran and Italy’s Davide Buchi shared fourth place, seven strokes back.

Behind Andrea Romano and Maxime Legros, Robert Moran consolidated his third position in the Order of Merit ahead of Spain’s Pablo Alperi Lopez (4th) and Mario Galiano Aguilar (5th). Thanks to his runner-up finish, Alessandro Nodari climbed to sixth place and moved within striking distance of the top five.

The race for qualification to the 2026 Hulencourt Alps Tour Grand Final and promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour will resume from Thursday, June 11th, at Club de Golf Playa Serena in Roquetas de Mar, Spain, for the 2026 Alps de Andalucía – Roquetas de Mar.

Maxime Legros: “I’m very happy and, above all, very relieved. I won’t have to answer all those questions anymore about when the third win was going to come. Since the start of the tournament, I had played better on the back nine, so my goal was to get off to a strong start. I managed to build an advantage quite quickly, but I let Enrico back into it with a couple of three-putts. Thankfully, I was able to extend my lead again on the back nine.

By the 16th hole, I was five shots ahead and started imagining every possible disaster scenario. But after making birdie on 17, I was finally able to fully enjoy the walk up the 18th.

The injury I suffered last year has actually helped me become much calmer on the golf course. I’ve also improved a lot with my putting, which gives me much more confidence in my game.

I’ll be able to start my HotelPlanner Tour journey with the French swing, which is great because it’s close to home. I want to use these next six months to adapt to a new tour, new courses and new opponents.”

Enrico Di Nitto edges Maxime Legros ahead of final round in Metz

France, June 6th, 2026 – After a controlled second-round performance, Italy’s Enrico Di Nitto moved into the lead at the 23rd Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or.

Starting on the 10th tee, the three-time Alps Tour winner got off to a flying start with three birdies in his opening holes. He added two more birdies and a lone bogey on his way to a 66 (-4), taking a narrow advantage into the final round.

Di Nitto will begin Sunday with a one-shot lead over France’s Maxime Legros. The Dinard-based player carded a solid 65 (-5) featuring six birdies and one bogey. Already a two-time winner this season, Legros could join Andrea Romano on the HotelPlanner Tour with a victory this week.

Italy’s Davide Buchi, in third place and three shots behind the leader, remains firmly in contention. France’s Alexandre Vandermoten and Théo Brizard, Ireland’s Robert Moran, and Italy’s Filippo Bergamaschi share fourth place.

For tomorrow’s final round, play will begin at 9:15 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th tees. At the conclusion of the third round, the winner will receive €7,090 and 6,525 Order of Merit points. In the event of a tie, a playoff will determine the champion.

Enrico Di Nitto: “I played very well from the tee. I only missed two fairways, but I managed both situations well and saved par. My chipping and putting have been really good over the last two days. Something has changed in my game this week. I have more confidence thanks to the work I’ve been doing recently, and that has helped me stay calm and focused. It has made a big difference during these first two rounds.”

Maxime Legros: “One shot is working particularly well for me this week: a low tee-ball that flies low and rolls a lot. It’s very useful on this course with the thick rough because it helps me stay in position while still getting distance. I’ve executed it almost all week and it allows me to hit shorter clubs into the greens than most of the field.

Of course, what Andrea Romano achieved is inspiring and it makes you want to follow the same path. We’re all human, so you naturally think a little about the future, but I’m really trying to stay in the present as much as possible.”

Agusti Quinquilla sets the pace at the 23rd Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or

France, June 5th, 2026 – While his front nine was relatively quiet in 33 (-1), Agusti Quinquilla made his move on the back nine during the opening round of the Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or. The Spaniard produced a stunning stretch with two birdies and an eagle between holes 10 and 12, before adding two more birdies coming home to sign an excellent 63 (-7) and take the first-round lead.

The 25-year-old has not managed to pull away from the field, however. Italy’s Enrico Di Nitto and Davide Buchi, Spain’s Gonzalo Leal, and Ireland’s Robert Moran are all just one shot behind.

France’s Baptiste Achard and Italy’s Flavio Michetti share sixth place at -5, two strokes off the lead.

For Round 2, play will begin at 7:30 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th tees. At the conclusion of the second round, a cut will be made to the top 40 professionals and ties, who will advance to the final round (including all amateurs within the cut).

Agusti Quinquilla : “It was one of those rounds where almost everything went right. From the first hole, I committed to an aggressive strategy and hit more drivers than players usually do on this course. I drove the ball extremely well and barely missed a fairway all day.

The key moment came at the start of the back nine. I made a really good birdie on 10, another on 11, and then on 12 I hit a great drive, a 7-iron to two metres and holed the putt for eagle. That stretch really got my round going. After that, I kept playing well, stayed in position, and added a few more birdies. The feeling is good heading into tomorrow and hopefully everything keeps working the same way.”

Davide Buchi: “I felt pretty good on the course today. I wasn’t overly aggressive and hit a lot of irons from the tee. Conditions changed a bit throughout the round, especially with the wind, but I think I adapted well. Overall, every part of my game was solid, but my irons and putting were probably the strongest areas today. Hopefully I can keep that going over the next two days.”

The 22nd edition of the 2025 Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or begins on Friday.

Metz, June 11^th, 2025- The Alps Tour season continues as it heads to France’s Northeastern Grand Est Region for the 22^nd edition of the Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or. The tournament will take place from June 13^th until 15^th at its traditional venue, Golf Domaine de la Grange Aux Ormes near Metz, France. The tournament has been a part of the Alps Tour schedule since 2005.

At the beginning of May, a qualifier was held at Golf Domaine de la Grange Aux Ormes where four amateur players earned their spot in this week’s event.

On June 12^th, the traditional Alps Tour, Tour Scramble, (best net and best gross per hole) pro-am will be played with approximately 20 teams competing.

The Field

A strong field is set to compete in France this week, featuring the majority of this season’s winners. Among those scheduled to play are Switzerland’s Luca Galliano, winner of the 2025 Ein Bay Open; Spain’s Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela, the current Order of Merit leader and champion of both the 2025 Red Sea Little Venice Open and the 2025 Tunisian Golf Open; Javier Barcos of Spain, winner of the 2025 New Giza Open; Asier Aguirre Izcue, also from Spain, who won the 2025 Memorial Giorgio Bordoni presented by AON; fellow Spaniard Jorge Maicas, winner of the 2025 Gösser Open; Javier Calles Roman, who claimed the 2025 Lacanau Alps Open title; and Italy’s Andrea Romano, the most recent winner at last week’s 2025 Alps de Andalucía-Roquetas de Mar.

All the players currently ranked inside the Top 10 of the Alps Tour Order of Merit are set to compete except for Spain’s Rocco Repetto Taylor, winner of the 2025 La Cigale Golf Open by Alps Tour in March. Repetto secured a victory at the 2025 Challenge de Cadiz on the HotelPlanner Tour earlier this month and has since earned playing rights on the higher-level tour.

Among the players in the field, Ireland’s Ronan Mullarney will also be competing. He captured two titles during the 2023 season, which propelled him to win the Order of Merit and secure his promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour (formerly known as the Challenge Tour) for the 2024 season.

The players scheduled to compete this week represent 16 different nationalities. Furthermore, the players will contend for a prize fund of € 42,500 and 45,000 Order of Merit points. The winner of the 2025 Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or, will earn the winning check of €6,200 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.

The format of the tournament is a 54-hole stroke play, where a cut will be made after 36 holes to the top 40 players and ties which will then compete during the final round scheduled for June 15^th, 2025. In the event of a tie after the final round, the tournament winner will be decided by a sudden-death playoff.

The Course

Located in Metz, France, Golf Domaine de la Grange Aux Ormes is a 6,436-meter course designed by Philippe Gourdon. Set on gently undulating terrain, it presents a variety of challenges for players of all levels. The course is framed by century-old trees and water hazards while offering picturesque views of the surrounding countryside and the Val Messin.

The estate’s signature view is the historic château that overlooks the grounds. While the fairways are relatively generous, the dense rough can severely penalize errant tee shots, demanding precision from the outset.

Golf Domaine de la Grange Aux Ormes features 27 holes, comprising the 18-hole course “Le Bois Brûlé” and the 9-hole “Le Breuil.” “Le Bois Brûlé” has long served as the prestigious host of the Open de la Mirabelle d’Or.

France’s Théo Boulet wins the 21st Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or.

Metz, June 16^th, 2024- France’s Théo Boulet wins his first Alps Tour title at the 21^st Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or with a total score of 11 under-par. In 2^nd place, only 1 stroke back at 10 under-par, Italy’s Flavio Michetti. In a three-way tie for 3^rd place with a three-day score of 9 under-par: France’s Damien Perrier and amateur Nathan Legendre and Vince Van Veen from the Netherlands.

The final round of the 2024 Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or began at 9:11 a.m. local time from the 1^st and 10^thhole. The final pairing teed off at 10:50 a.m. local time from the 1^st hole. The players competing at Golf Domaine de la Grange Aux Ormes disputed today’s final round under a mix of weather conditions that included mostly cloudy sky, some moderate winds, rain, and a temperature around 18° Celsius.

This year, we celebrated the 21^stedition of the tournament, which has been part of the Alps Tour schedule since 2005.

Final Round Player Quotes

France’s Théo Boulet, 21, earns his 1^st professional win this week at the 21^st Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or. He was tied for 2^nd place after yesterday’s round 2, and today he shot a bogey-free 5 under-par, 65 to conclude the tournament with a three-day total of 11 under-par. In today’s final round, Boulet made 2 birdies on the front nine holes and then added 3 more birdies on the back nine for his 65. After securing his win, Boulet was very emotional: “It was a very good day, I played really well again on difficult day with tough weather conditions. There was a lot of wind today, which affected the round. My game has been extremely solid again, so I’m really pleased about it.” Boulet admitted that he definitely felt: “some nerves on the first tee, I was just a little bit nervous but after that I was very confident with my game, so it was ok.” Capturing this win here in France this week means a lot to him: “I’m so happy. It means a lot because the beginning of the season wasn’t that good for me, so it’s really nice to turn things around. It truly is special to win my first professional title here in France, at home. I’m very happy about that.” Boulet wants to: “dedicate this win to my coaches, my parents, my family, and my sponsors who have supported me from the beginning.”

Flavio Michetti, 20, from Italy, shot a final round of 5 under-par, 65 to conclude the tournament in a solo 2^nd place with a three-day total of 10 under-par. He shot a bogey-free round today, making 2 birdies on the front nine holes and 3 birdies on the back nine holes. He has earned several good finishes this season and is looking to break through and win his first Alps Tour title, hopefully in the upcoming tournaments.

After this week’s 2024 Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or, France’s Benjamin Kedochim is the new Order of Merit leader with 15,203.25 points. Italy’s Edoardo R Lipparelli is in 2^nd place with 15,138.00 points and Aymeric Laussot from France maintains his 3^rd place with 13,054.50 points. Italy’s Enrico Di Nitto remains in 4^th place with 12,954.45 points and Vince Van Veen from Netherlands has moved into 5^th place with 10,202.25 points.

The 21st edition of the 2024 Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or gets underway on Friday.

Metz, June 12^th, 2024- The Alps Tour season continues as we move to the Northeastern Grand Est Region in France for the 21^st Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or. The tournament will be played from June 14^th until June 16^th at its usual host, Golf Domaine de la Grange Aux Ormes near Metz, France. It is celebrating its 21^st edition this year but has been a part of the Alps Tour schedule since 2005.

On April 24^th, an 18-hole stroke-play qualifier event was played at the tournament host, Golf Domaine de la Grange Aux Ormes, that offered players the opportunity to qualify for the extra 5 available spots into this week’s field.

On June 13^th, the traditional Alps Tour, Tour Scramble pro-am will be played with approximately 25 teams competing.

The Field

There will be a strong field represented in France this week. The majority of this season’s previous winners are scheduled to compete: France’s Aymeric Laussot, winner of the 2024 Ein Bay Open, Edoardo R. Lipparelli from Italy, winner of the 2024 New Giza Open, Italy’s Gianmaria Rean Trinchero winner of the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open, Mattia Comotti from Italy winner of the 2024 Memorial Giorgio Bordoni presented by AON and Austria’s Maximilian Steinlechner winner of the 2024 Gösser Open.

Among the players scheduled to compete, Jacopo Vecchi Fossa, will also be present. He captured multiple wins on the Alps Tour over the years, as well as earning the 2021 Alps Tour Order of Merit title, which allowed him to gain status on the Challenge Tour.

Participating in this week’s field is current Order of Merit Leader, Italy’s Edoardo R Lipparelli in addition to 8 of the top 10 players in the actual rank: Benjamin Kedochim, Aymeric Laussot, Enrico Di Nitto, Mattia Comotti, Gianmaria Rean Trinchero, Harry Goddard, Manfredi Manica and Vince Van Veen all of whom are trying to capture the 2024 Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or title.

Netherland’s Kiet Van der Weele, the most recent past winner of the tournament, captured his 3^rd title of the 2023 season during last year’s edition of the Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or which allowed him to earn immediate playing category on the Challenge Tour. He will not be in the field this week as graduated to the Challenge Tour with the excellent results he earned in the past Alps Tour season.

The 144 players scheduled to compete this week represent 15 different nationalities. Furthermore, the players will contend for a prize fund of € 40.000 and 45,000 Order of Merit points. The winner of the 2024 Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or, will earn the winning check of €5,800 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.
