Kim in the hunt for a maiden win

Italy’s Joon Kim shot back to back 67 in Open Castello di Tolcinasco. He leads the way heading to last round with -10 total, on shot clear of fellow countryman Nicolo Quintarelli. Kim is still in the hunt for his maiden win on Alps Tour.

The weather was perfect again in Pieve Emmanuele, south of Milano but the temperature in the afternoon was close to 40° on the fairways and greens. Kim took advantage of his early start 8:36 to holed 7 birdies. Quintarelli was in morning’s group as well. He played flawless round of 66.

France’s Thomas Elissalde is the third man on the provisional podium. The player from Biarritz signed for 67.

This week is massive as far as results are concerned. Top 6 of Alps Tour ranking will go directly to Stage 2 of European Tour Q School. From 5th to 8th position, all players missed th cut, -2 this week. (Stefano Pitoni, Fabien Marty, Tom Shadbolt, Robin Goger)

Let’s see the opportunities for the players behind :

Léo Lespinasse could take 6th place thanks to second place tie or better. Same chance for Aron Zemmer and Raphaël Marguery but they should finish second on their own or better.
