13th October 2025 | Alps Tour Golf
Welcome to the 2025 Regione Lazio Alps Tour Grand Final.
Sutri, October 13th, 2025 – After a thrilling 17-week season across some of the most scenic courses, it’s time for the final tournament of the 2025 season, the Regione Lazio Alps Tour Grand Final, set to take place from October 16th-18th at the prestigious Golf Nazionale in Sutri, just north of Rome. This renowned venue has already hosted the Grand Final in 2019, and it is a great stage to crown the season’s best players.
Before tournament play gets underway, the Croce Rossa Italiana Pro-Am will be held on Wednesday, 15 October, featuring a shotgun start and 24 teams competing in a Best Ball aggregate-to-par format.
The top 50 professional players in the 2025 Alps Tour Order of Merit following last week’s Parma Alps Open, as well as ranked amateur members within the “Top 50” (no ties), were eligible to participate in this week’s final tournament. Eligible players must have participated in at least 5 events in 3 different countries during the season. The 2025 Regione Lazio Alps Tour Grand Final can count as the 3rd country if the player hasn’t previously competed in Italy. There is no reserve list for this event; therefore, if a player in the Top 50 withdraws, their place will not be filled by the next player down the Order of Merit.
At the end of this week’s event, where the Final Order of Merit for the 2025 season will be determined, the top 5 players in the Alps Tour Order of Merit rank will earn a HotelPlanner Tour – category 12b playing card for the 2026 season.
“I wish to underscore the significance of the Alps Tour as a vital platform that leads to this decisive moment. The Grand Final is not only the culmination of a season filled with dedication and high-level competition, but also a crucial launching pad for players aiming to take the next step in their professional careers. It perfectly reflects the mission of the Tour: to nurture emerging talent and provide real, merit-based opportunities for advancement in the world of professional golf for our rising golf stars. I want to wish the best of luck to all participants this week,” said Marco Durante, President of the Alps Tour Golf Association.
The Field
This season, 13 different players shared the spotlight with a combined 17 tournament wins. Ten of them will tee it up this week for the season finale, including four notable two-time champions: Jacopo Vecchi Fossa, Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela, Javier Barcos, and Andrea Romano. Joining them in the field are six additional tournament winners from this season: Luca Galliano, who triumphed at the season opener, along with Asier Aguirre Izcue, Jorge Maicas, Javier Calles Roman, Jerry Ji, and Quentin Debove.
Heading into the 2025 Regione Lazio Alps Tour Grand Final, Spain’s Javier Barcos leads the Order of Merit with 32,698.59 points. Italy’s Jacopo Vecchi Fossa has moved into second place with 30,050.48 points, while France’s Quentin Debove sits third with 27,048.03 points. In fourth place is Ireland’s Ronan Mullarney, the 2023 Order of Merit winner, with 21,415.79 points, while Spain’s Asier Aguirre Izcue rounds out the top five with 21,272.41 points.
The most recent winner of the tournament is Italy’s Enrico Di Nitto, who claimed the title in 2024 at Golf Club Monticello. He will not be in the field this week as he is currently competing on the HotelPlanner Tour, having earned one of the five available playing cards awarded at the end of last season. He secured his spot by finishing 2nd in the 2024 Order of Merit. However, France’s Augustin Holé, the 2023 champion at Asolo Golf Club, will be competing and aiming to recapture the success of his previous victory.
The top-ranked players competing in this week’s season-ending event will be battling for the prestigious title of 2025 Regione Lazio Alps Tour Grand Final Champion. More importantly, they will be vying for one of five coveted 2026 HotelPlanner Tour cards, awarded to the top five players in the Final Order of Merit.
Format & Prize Fund
The 2025 Regione Lazio Alps Tour Grand Final will be a 54-hole stroke-play event, consisting of 18 holes per day with no cut. In case of a tie for 1st place after 54 holes, a sudden-death play-off will determine the winner.
The players will compete for an overall prize fund of €55,000 and 60,000 Order of Merit points. The tournament winner will walk away with €10,000.00 and 9,500 Order of Merit points.

Final Round Player Quotes
Italy’s Edoardo R Lipparelli, 27, wins his second Alps Tour title at the 2024 New Giza Open. He was in a tie for 4thplace after yesterday’s round 2 and today he shot a fabulous bogey-free 9 under-par, 63 to conclude the tournament with a three-day total of 17 under-par. He is a past winner on the Alps Tour, won the 2018 Alps Tour Order of Merit and has collected a number of top 3 finishes over the years. After his win, Lipparelli proudly commented: “I’m very pleased, I played well today. Obviously when you put together a bogey-free round it’s always special but today my game was very solid. I always try to focus on hitting shot by shot and not focus on the overall result. I began my round making 4 birdies in the first 5 holes and even after doing that, I tried to focus on one shot at a time.” He added that this is a special win to him as: “it shows that the hard work I did this off-season is paying off. It’s good to be back in the winner’s circle after these past few years. My goal remains the same which I think is the same as most of us players have, which is to conclude the season in the top 5 spots to earn one of the Challenge Tour cards.” Lipparelli also mentioned how “I found that the level of golf the players competing on the Alps Tour are playing has grown tremendously over the years. It showed even today with the scores that were made. There will be some exciting battles this season.”
The winner of the season-opening event, the 2024 Ein Bay Open, France’s Aymeric Laussot, 23, concludes the tournament in a two-way tie for 2nd place only 1 stroke back at 16 under-par, alongside England’s Harry Goddard. He made 5 birdies on his opening front nine and then made 4 more birdies and 1 bogey on the back nine to conclude his day with a 8 under-par, 64. After his fabulous final round, Laussot commented: “8 under-par on the final round giving yourself a chance to win is all you can really do. Hats off to Edoardo to shot 9 under-par. We played together and to be honest it was a great golf show, hole after hole. He kept hitting it slightly closer than me, but my putter was hot today, and I made a lot of important putts. I’m really pleased with the way I played overall and I have a lot to take away from this Winter Series. I tried to put some pressure on him, but he’s been playing great the past few tournaments and he was extremely solid today.”
Harry Goddard, 24, from England is the second player who concluded the 2024 New Giza Open in the two-way tie for 2ndplace at 16 under-par. After his 8 under-par, 64 round, Goddard commented: “The round went very well today. It was a bogey-free round which is always nice but honestly today I really hit the ball lovely which makes it even more rewarding.” When asked what he takes away from the beginning of the season, he added: “it’s been good to get out and play some competitive golf and to be able to finish the trip off with a T2nd place is good.”
After the first three events of the 2024 season, the Alps Tour Order of Merit rank has Edoardo R Lipparelli leading with 13,005.00 points. Aymeric Laussot and Jose Antonio Sintes Navarro (am) close out the top three spots. In 4thplace, Harry Goddard with 4,716.00 points and Eduard Rousaud is in 5th place with 4,606.18 points.
Final Round
Edoardo R Lipparelli winner of the 2024 New Giza Open, earned the winner’s check of €5,800 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.
Now the Alps Tour players will have a few weeks off before the next scheduled event of the 2024 season.
