Andrea Romano wins the Open de Roissy – Grand Prix PGA France and earns HotelPlanner Tour promotion
France, May 30th, 2026 – Once again, Andrea Romano proved he has been the standout player on the Alps Tour this season. Starting the final round two shots behind the lead, the Italian produced a flawless 65 (-7) to capture his third title of the season after victories at the Red Sea Little Venice Open and the New Giza Open.
This latest success also secures him direct promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour, awarded to any player who reaches three victories in a single Alps Tour season.
England’s Mason Essam mounted a remarkable charge from further back on the leaderboard. Despite a bogey on the 12th, the Englishman carded an outstanding 63 (-9) but ultimately finished one stroke short of Romano.
Overnight leader Louis Darthenay was unable to match Romano’s pace on Sunday and eventually shared third place alongside fellow Frenchmen Paul Franquet and Théo Boulet.
With this victory, Romano earns €7,900 and significantly extends his lead at the top of the Order of Merit, ahead of France’s Maxime Legros. The remainder of the top five is made up of Robert Moran (3rd), Pablo Alperi Lopez (4th) and Mario Galiano Aguilar (5th).
The race for qualification to the 2026 Hulencourt Alps Tour Grand Final and promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour will resume from Friday, June 5th, at Golf de La Grange aux Ormes for the 2026 Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or.

Mason Essam: “Today was a great day. Shooting nine under in any tournament is always going to help. I played alongside a close friend, Hugh Foley, and we fed off each other really well. There wasn’t really a game plan today — I just tried to stay in the moment and let things come to me.
I thought seven under might give me a chance, so to shoot two better and still come up one short is tough, but I’m really happy with second place. My game has been close all season, and this week I managed to put everything together. The golf course was great, the organisers did a fantastic job, and now I’m looking forward to a couple of days off before heading to Metz.”

France’s Louis Darthenay takes slim lead into final round of the Open de Roissy – Grand Prix PGA France
France, May 29th, 2026 – After carding a superb 65 (-7) in the morning despite a lone bogey, Italy’s Alessandro Nodari looked set to lead heading into the final round of the Open de Roissy – Grand Prix PGA France. But his -11 total was eventually surpassed in the closing moments of the day.
Late in the afternoon, Frenchman Louis Darthenay moved into the lead thanks to a matching 65 (-7). Coming from the national field, Darthenay already experienced contention on the Alps Tour when he challenged for victory at the 2024 Lacanau Alps Open.
France’s Dorian Fournier sits in third place, two shots behind the leader, alongside Italy’s Andrea Romano. The current Order of Merit leader produced a sensational 62 (-10), setting the lowest score in the history of Golf International de Roissy.
For tomorrow’s final round, play will begin at 8:40 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th tees. At the conclusion of the third round, the winner will receive €7,900 and 6,525 Order of Merit points. In the event of a tie, a playoff will determine the champion.

Louis Darthenay: “Another really solid round with only one bogey today. I managed the easier holes better than yesterday, and my driving was strong all day — long and straight. I also putted very well and took my chances. I already had the opportunity to contend for a win a couple of years ago, and tomorrow I’ll try to do the same. Alessandro Nodari: “I had a great start with birdie, eagle, and another birdie on the par five. Conditions were a bit easier this morning, so I just focused on staying shot by shot. Even after two three-putt bogeys on the back nine, I stayed focused. Tomorrow, I won’t change anything in my strategy.”
Andrea Romano: “After yesterday’s level-par round, I was disappointed and maybe not in the right mindset. I’m also a bit tired after four weeks in a row playing, so today I just tried to give my best with the energy I had left. Thankfully, it turned into a great round. After some difficult years, it feels good to finally see the work paying off. In golf, you just need patience and never give up.”

French rookie Alexandre Bauduin shines early at the Open de Roissy – Grand Prix PGA France
France, May 28th, 2026 – The warm temperatures in the Paris region did little to slow down Alexandre Bauduin on Thursday. The 23-year-old French rookie, in his first professional season, carded an impressive 64 (-8) to take the opening-round lead at the Open de Roissy – Grand Prix PGA France.
On the demanding layout of Golf International de Roissy, the C&S Golf Team player recorded nine birdies and just one bogey, coming at the 17th hole.
Playing also in the afternoon wave, fellow Frenchman Xavier Poncelet also impressed, signing a flawless 66 (-6) to sit two shots back. A group of three players shares third place at -5: Spaniard Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela, Dutchman Lars Keunen and Frenchman Louis Darthenay.
For Round 2, play will begin at 7:45 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th tees. At the conclusion of the second round, a cut will be made to the top 40 professionals and ties, who will advance to the final round (including all amateurs within the cut).

Antoine Auboin from France wins the inaugural 2024 Lacanau Alps Open.
Lacanau-Océan, May 24th, 2024 – France’s Antoine Auboin wins the inaugural 2024 Lacanau Alps Open with a total score of 16 under-par. In 2nd place, fellow French player and round 2 leader Louis Darthenay only 2 strokes back. In a three-way tie for 3rd place with a three-day score of 13 under-par: England’s Mason Essam, United States of America’s Brandon Kewalramani, and Netherland’s Vince Van Veen.
The final round of the 2024 Lacanau Alps Open began at 9:17 a.m. local time from the 1st and 10th hole, and the leaders group teed off at 10:45 am local time from the 1st hole. The players competing at UGolf Lacanau disputed today’s final round under a mostly cloudy skies and a pleasant temperature.
This was the inaugural year of the 2024 Lacanau Alps Open and the first time that UGolf Lacanau hosted a professional golf tournament. UGolf Lacanau has committed to hosting the tournament for the next two years and aims to make it a long-lasting event on the Alps Tour schedule.
Final Round Player Quotes
France’s Antoine Auboin, 24, came from behind to win his 1st professional title at the inaugural 2024 Lacanau Alps Open. He moved into 3rd place after yesterday’s round 1, and today he shot a 5 under-par, 67 to conclude the tournament with a three-day total of 16 under-par. Auboin earned the French Team Championship title in 2018 and the French Men’s Championship in 2019. He’s also a member of the C&S Team. In today’s final round, he made 2 eagles, 2 birdies, and 1 bogey. He had a strong finish to today’s round, making an eagle on the 16th hole, a birdie on the 17th hole, and a par on the 18th hole. After his win, Auboin was very emotional and commented: “I had a tough start to my round today, I didn’t give myself many good birdie opportunities. I was happy to make some pars, I 3-putted on 3 but knew I was still close. I then saw my good Louis extend his lead to 4 or 5 shots, I was then able to make a good birdie on the 10th hole. Once I got to 10, I told my caddy it’s time to make a move, I was able to par until the 12th hole. I was then able to eagle the 13th hole and par until 16. Once I got to hole 16, I told myself I needed to make a 2 or 3 and then finish birdie-birdie or try to make an eagle to have a chance. I hit a fabulous drive on the green and made the eagle putt. Then, on hole 17, I made a birdie, hitting my approach shot to less than a meter to tie Louis heading into the last hole. On the last hole, I saw my good friend Louis struggle around the green, so I just tried to make a par and knew that I could get it done.” When asked about his plans, Auboin added: “To be honest with you, this was going to be my last tournament. Now I’m not sure, I’m still not realizing what I’ve done, it’s my first professional win. The plan was to stop until at least the end of this year and then maybe start again next year on a foreign tour but so now I’m not sure what my plan is going to be. However, for right now, I want to enjoy this win with my caddy, friends, and family.” He wants to dedicate this win: “To me and my girlfriend. She was here with me the first two rounds to try and get me to enjoy the game again and get my confidence back. So, this win is also thanks to her.”
France’s Louis Darthenay, 25, shot a final round of 1 under-par, 71 to conclude the tournament in 2nd place with a three-day total of 14 under-par. He made 4 birdies and 1 bogey on the front nine holes and then made 2 more birdies, 2 bogeys, and 1 double bogey on the back nine to conclude his round.
After the 7th event of the season, the Alps Tour Order of Merit rank has Edoardo R Lipparelli remains in the lead with 14,715.00 points. Aymeric Laussot remains in 2nd place with 12,550.50 points, and Enrico Di Nitto is in 3rd place with 11,840.25. Benjamin Kedochim is in 4th place with 10,217.25 points, and Gianmaria Rean Trinchero is in 5th place with 8,266.50.
Final Round

France’s Louis Darthenay leads after Day 2 at the 2024 Lacanau Alps Open.
It was a beautiful sunny day with moderate winds that welcomed the players at UGolf Lacanau in Nouvelle Aquitaine, France for the 2nd round of the inaugural 2024 Lacanau Alps Open. Play began at 7:45 a.m. local time from the 1st and 10th hole allowing the players to take advantage of perfect weather and scoring conditions.
This is the inaugural year of the 2024 Lacanau Alps Open as well as the first time that UGolf Lacanau is hosting a professional golf tournament.
Round 2 Player Quotes
France’s Louis Darthenay, 25, is in the lead after two rounds at the 2024 Lacanau Alps Open. He shot an incredible 9 under-par, 63 in today’s round 2, making 10 birdies and 1 bogey for a two-day total of 13 under-par. After his fabulous round today, Darthenay was very happy: “today was an unbelievable today, it’s a day you dream about. Everything was amazing, my birdie putts dropped and when I needed to recover those dropped also so it was cool. My iron game was very sharp too, I had a slow start to my round, but I was able to get my round going hitting some iron shots close. Overall, I’m beyond satisfied.” Darthenay added that he found the greens at UGolf Lacanau to be: “perfect this morning, the golf course and the superintendents did an incredible job. Obviously, this morning, they were perfect compared to yesterday, when I played in the afternoon, so more people walked on them. It’s really a pure joy to play this course this week.” He went on to add that also: “the pins to be more challenging, I think you needed to be on the correct side to be able to take advantage of them as there is a lot of slopes and they are fast. I will now rest, have lunch, and get ready for tomorrow. The most important is to enjoy myself and then see what happens.”
Italy’s Marco Florioli (am),19, concludes his round 2 of the 2024 Lacanau Alps Open in 2nd place with a total score of 12 under par. He shot a 2nd round score of 7 under-par, 65 with 1 bogey and 4 birdies on the front nine holes, and then once he made the turn, he made 4 more birdies that included 2 in a row to end his round. Florioli was part of the Italian National Team that captured in 2022 the World Amateur Team Championships. After his 2nd round, he was satisfied: “Today my game was very similar to yesterday. The only thing that really changed was my tee shots, as today I hit a few more iron shots trying to keep it safe compared to yesterday, where I was attacking more and maybe missed a few. That, however, paid off as I was able to make a lot of birdies overall. Tomorrow I will try to go for the win, I have nothing to lose and everything to earn.”

The greens were perfect this morning compared to yesterday afternoon when a lot of people had walked on them. I found it to be personally easier today compared to yesterday. “He added that he’s: “played here more than 10 years ago, and I can promise you the course wasn’t like it is today, the course is impeccable.” For tomorrow’s final round, Auboin plans to: “enjoy myself like I did the past two days and I think if you can make the putts at the right time, you should put yourself in a good position.”
Italy’s Jacopo Vecchi Fossa, 29, who captured multiple wins on the Alps Tour over the years. He also earned the 2021 Alps Tour Order of Merit title, which allowed him to gain status on the Challenge Tour. He concludes Round 2 of the 2024 Lacanau Alps Open with a two-day total of 10 under-par and finds himself in a 2-way tie for 4th place alongside Spain’s Jose Manuel Pardo Benitez. He shot an amazing 8 under-par, 64 in today’s round with 10 birdies and 2 bogeys. After his round, he commented: “My tee shots today were very good; I also holed a lot of crucial putts from around 3 or 4 meters.”
Alongside Vecchi Fossa with a two-day total of 10 under-par, the first-round leader Spain’s Jose Manuel Pardo Benitez, 25. He is a past winner on the Alps Tour as he captured the 2023 Alps de Andalucía and is looking this week to earn his 2nd title. He shot a 3 under-par, 69 making 1 bogey on the front nine, and then once he made the turn, he made 4 birdies on the back nine to end his day.
Final Round
A total of 47 players made the cut which was set at 141 (-3).
The Final Round of the 2024 Lacanau Alps Open will begin at 9:17 a.m. local time from the 1st and 10th hole. The Final Pairing will tee off at 10:45 a.m. local time from the 1st hole. In case of a tie after 54 holes, a sudden-death play-off will determine the winner.
The 2024 Lacanau Alps Open winner will walk away with €6,525.00 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.
