Manfredi Manica leads by 1 after Round 1 at the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open.

Tabarka, April 25^th, 2024 – After Round 1 of the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open, we have a tight leaderboard. Italy’s Manfredi Manica has a 1 shot lead with a first-round score of 7 under-par, 65. In 2nd place is France’s Benjamin Kedochim at 6 under par. There is a 4-way tie for 3^rd place at 5 under-par that includes: Austria’s Daniel Hebenstreit, Italy’s Adalberto Montini, Spain’s Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela and Ireland’s Robert Moran.

The first round of the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open, played at the beautiful La Cigale Tabarka Golf in Tabarka, Tunisia, began this morning from holes 1 and 10. The round 1 tee times were scheduled to start at 7:00 am local time. However, they had a 30-minute delay due to course maintenance. Therefore, the 1st round of the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open officially began at 7:30 am local time from the 1^st and 10^th hole. Players had to face some heavy rain during yesterday’s pro-am. However, today, they were able to begin the 1^st round of the tournament with some pleasant weather conditions, allowing them to take advantage of good scoring opportunities.This event marks the first time that La Cigale Tabarka Golf is hosting an Alps Tour tournament, and this is the first time since 2016, that the Tunisian Golf Open is being disputed.

Manfredi Manica, 28, from Italy, winner of the 2023 Aravell Golf Open by Creand, has a one-shot lead after the 1^stround of the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open with a round of 7 under-par, 65. He made 2 eagles, 4 birdies, and 1 bogey during his opening round. The 2 eagles he made were in his last 4 holes of the day, where one was a hole out from the fairway on the 8^th hole. Manica has been playing very solid since the beginning of the season and is looking to capture his 2^ndwin on the Alps Tour. At the conclusion of his opening round, he explained on how, “Today was a nice day, especially towards the end of the round where I made 2 eagles in the last few holes, it was a good start to the tournament. I’m continuing my good stretch of golf because also, in the tournaments in Egypt, I began the season playing well and giving myself chances.” Looking ahead to the rest of the week, Manica plans on: “keep doing the same things as I’m doing, maybe even a bit better. It would be great to get a win early in the season, but we will see.” He was also very impressed by the host venue this week, “La Cigale Golf is a great course, it’s my first time but I’m surprised. The three holes by the coast are fantastic.”

France’s Benjamin Kedochim, 29, is in 2^nd place after the first round of the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open with a 6 under-par, 66. He made 7 birdies and 1 single bogey throughout his day. Kedochim has earned several top 5 finishes in his career but is looking to capture his 1^st title on the Alps Tour. He has been playing well since the beginning of the 2024 season, and after his round, he explained: “We are in a beautiful place, and I love being here in Tabarka. We are in an amazing spot, I like to surf too so today every time I wasn’t playing golf, I was looking at the sea and the waves and it kept my head off the golf course and that helped me to play well today. I hit almost every fairway and green. I only missed 2 greens today and the remaining holes I gave myself tons of opportunities.”

Daniel Hebenstreit, 26, from Austria, is in a 4-way way tie for 3^rd place at the conclusion of the 1^st round of the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open alongside Italy’s Adalberto Montini, Spain’s Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela and Ireland’s Robert Moran. He shot a 5 under-par, 67 round today, making 1 eagle, 4 birdies, and 1 bogey. After his round, Hebenstreitcommented on how he found: “It’s a beautiful course, La Cigale Tabarka Golf, it’s down by the sea. I was fortunate enough to play in the morning, which made it a bit easier as there was hardly any wind.” He went on to add on how he plans to: “keep it low off the tee the next two days and make sure I keep it in play but most importantly get the putter hot.”

Italy’s Adalberto Montini, 24, is the second player in the 4-way tie for 3^rd place after round 1 of the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open with a total score of 5 under-par, 67. During today’s round, he made 6 birdies and 1 single bogey. After he signed for his 67, Montini pointed out how: “It’s my first time in Tunisia, and this golf course is fantastic. It’s a really technical course, and today I’m very happy with my game as you need to hit your ball well from the tee, and I was able to do that with my 2-iron. I also putted really well today, so I think my key for the next few days will be to keep my ball in play off the tees by placing it in the right spots.” Montini also commented on how “the last few weeks I really prepared myself, I changed my coach, so I made a lot of technical changes, but I’m very pleased with what I’ve seen so far and I’m looking forward to competing again tomorrow.”

Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela, 27, from Spain, is the 3^rd player in the 4-way tie for 3^rd place at 5 under-par, 67 after the 1^st round of the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open. In today’s opening round, he began with a bogey on the 1^st hole and then went on to make 8 birdies and 2 more bogeys to conclude the day. Hernandez Cabezuela has earned various good finishes over the years but is looking to break through and earn his 1^st win on the Alps Tour. He explained how today: “I had a slow start making a bogey on the 1^st, but I’ve been playing well recently, so I knew the birdies opportunities were close, so I just stayed patient. I was very solid off the tee, and with my putting, I must say. My irons haven’t been that great, unfortunately, and I made a few bogeys with my wedges from the fairway today, which I must say is a bit annoying, but overall, I’m very happy.” Hernandez Cabezuela added that today: “the wind picked up slightly during my round, and it’s making it a bit more interesting now. Hopefully I have more birdies to come over the next few days and remain on the top of the leaderboard.”

Alongside Hebenstreit, Montini, and Hernandez Cabezuela, with a first-round score of 5 under par, 67, is Ireland’s Robert Moran, 24. During his opening round, he made 1 eagle, 6 birdies, and 3 bogeys.

The highlight of the day belongs to Italy’s Riccardo Bregoli, who made an incredible Hole-In-One on the 130-meter, par-3 17^th hole with his 46° wedge.

The competitors in this week’s event are battling it out for an overall prize fund of €45.000 and 45,000 Order of Merit points. The 2024 Tunisian Golf Open winner will walk away with €6,525.00 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.

Round 2

The second round of the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open will begin again at 7:00 am local time from the 1^st and 10^th hole. Once Round 2 is completed, a cut will be made to the top 40 players and ties.

Agrate Conturbia, September 28^th 2022- Italy’s Gregorio De Leo leads with a 9 under-par 63 at the conclusion of Round 1. In a tie for 2^nd place at 7 under-par, France’s Augustin Hole and Austria’s Daniel Hebenstreit. In 4^th place just 1 stroke back, Austria’s Daniel Gurtner and Italy’s Andrea Saracino. There is a 6-way tie for 6^th place at 5 under-par which includes two of this season’s past winners: Portugal’s Tomas Guimaraes Bessa and Ireland’s Gary Hurley.

A typical fall day with overcast skies, a slight breeze and chilly temperatures in Northwestern Italy, welcomed players for the first round of the 2022 Castelconturbia Alps Open played at Golf Club Castelconturbia in Agrate Conturbia, Italy. This week is the last event of the regular Alps Tour season where players are trying to capture the final points in order to make a move in the rankings ahead of next week’s 2022 Emilia Romagna Alps Tour Grand Final. Play began at 8:00 am this morning from both the 1^st and 10^th hole. The forecast will remain chilly for the remainder of the week and some rain is expected for Friday’s final round.

Round 1 Player Quotes-

Three-time winner and order of merit leader Italy’s Gregorio De Leo has a two strokes lead at the conclusion of the 1^stround at the 2022 Castelconturbia Alps Open. He shot an amazing bogey-free, 9 under-par 63 round today. He shot 5 birdies on the front nine hole and 4 birdies on the back nine. Gregorio who has already won the 2022 Memorial Giorgio Bordoni, 2022 Alps de Las Castillas and the most recent Alps Tour event, the 2022 Roma Alps Open was very satisfied with today’s round. “Today was very good, today my putting helped me tremendously which actually it’s what I struggled with the most lately. Today I holed a lot of putts and a few very long putts. I didn’t take a lot of risks today and had a good strategy which helped me put together today’s round.” He’s already secured his Challenge Tour card for next season, but he wanted “to compete this week to gain some confidence back. The last few tournaments I slightly lost it so I wanted to come back and compete on a course I’m familiar with the regain some confidence. Even though I have already three trophies this season, of course the ultimate goal would be to win another event.”

France’s Augustin Hole who represents Biarritz le Phare and turned professional at the end of the 2019 season, is one of the two players tied at 7 under-par at the end of the 1^st round. He shot an incredible bogey-free round with 3 birdies on the front nine and 4 birdies on the back nine. After his bogey-free round, Augustin commented on how: “the pins were interesting on the par 3 today, smart golf was required to be on the right side. It is a great course, you don’t need to hit it very far of the tee, but you need to hit it in the good area of the course to make birdies, and if not, bogeys can come very easily.” He was “very pleased with this bogey-free round, I was able to hit the correct side of the course and had very very good putting.”

Austria’s Daniel Hebenstreit who represents Golf & Country Club Brunn is the other player in the two-way tie for 2^ndplace at 7 under-par. He turned professional in January 2020 and has played on the Alps Tour since. In today’s round, he shot 8 birdies and 1 sole bogey. Daniel was pleased about his round today especially his putting: “The course was playing were nicely, there were some tough pins out there today that’s for sure. The greens are very tricky, very sloppy. My game off the tee and into the greens was very solid today. I holed a lot of putts today which was good.”

Daniel Gurtner from Switzerland who turned professional in 2021 and represents the Swiss PGA as well as Kyburg Golf Club, sits in a two-way tie for 4^th after today’s first round. He shot a 6 under-par round 66 with 8 birdies and 2 bogeys. After his round Daniel commented on how he found the conditions ideal during today’s round: “The weather was ideal for golf, it was accessible in terms of weather. There was not much wind and the temperature was pleasant.” He also mentioned on how he found some of the pins were tricky but had the best putting round of the season: “Some of the pins today were tricky as some of the greens are very sloppy which made it harder. I tried to give myself the easiest putts possible and I was able to achieve that as I had my best putting round of the season. It was very rewarding.” Daniel went on to comment how he’s really enjoying the course: “It’s the first time the Alps Tour competes here, I really like this course, I like the conditions of the course, I like the greens even though they are tricky as they reward good putting. I hope we will be back here to compete next year.”

Tied for 4^th place alongside Daniel Gurtner at 6 under-par and 3 shots back of the lead, there is Italy’s Andrea Saracino. There is a 6-way tie for 6^th place at 5 under-par which includes: Spain’s Mario Galiano Aguilar, Austria’s Alexander Kopp, Portugal’s Tomas Guimaraes Bessa, Italy’s Edoardo Lipparelli, Ireland’s Gary Hurley and France’s Xavier Poncelet.

Julien Sale is competing in his first event as a professional player. He is currently 2^nd in the Alps Tour Order of Merit and one of the players that is contenting to earn a Challenge Tour card for next season.

The 120 players in the field this week are competing for an overall prize fund of €40.000 and 45,000 Order of Merit points.

Round 2-

The second round of the 2022 Castelconturbia Alps Open will begin again at 8:00 am from the 1^st and 10^th hole. After round 2, a cut will be made.

A three-way tied for the lead after Round 1 at the 2022 Open de la Mirabelle D’Or.

Metz, June 10^th 2022– A beautiful morning with clear skies and a pleasant temperature with a highs around 25* welcomed the 142 players in Metz, France for the 1^st round of the 2022 Open International de la Mirabelle D’Or. The event is being played at Golf Domaine de la Grange Aux Ormes and play began at 7:30 am from both the 1^st and 10^th hole.

At the conclusion of the first round, we have a full leaderboard. Italy’s Luca Cianchetti, Manfredi Manica and Austria’s Daniel Hebenstreit are in a three-way tied for the lead with a 6 under-par round 64. There are 9 players who are in a tied for 4^th place just 1 stroke back at 5 under-par that include Spain’s Manuel Morugan (winner of the 2022 Abruzzo Alps Open) and French amateur Tom Vaillant who is currently 8^th in the Alps Tour Order of Merit.

Round 1 Player Quotes-

Italy’s Manfredi Manica shot a 6 under-par 64 round today and is one of the players tied for the lead entering round 2. He was born on January 29^th 1996 and turned professional on January 24^th 2022 representing GC Castelconturbia, Italy. In the past, he has competed in various Alps Tour events as an amateur however this is his first full season as a professional. After his round, Manfredi was very pleased especially after holing out his shot from 97 meters on the 15^thhole for an eagle. He commented: “Today I played very well, I’m very happy. My second shots helped me a lot today for the good round.” Manfredi was also happy with the course, “the greens were in very good conditions and the course gave a lot of birdie opportunities.”

Luca Cianchetti, a multiple winner of the Alps Tour also tied for the lead at 6 under-par 64. His round included 5 birdies, 1 bogey and 1 eagle. Cianchetti’s last win was at the 2021 Red Sea Little Venice Open and is looking to add another title. After his round, he was very happy about today and commented on how: “all areas of my game worked well today, especially my putting.”

Austria’s Daniel Hebenstreit representing Golf & Country Club Brunn is the third player in the three-way tied for the lead at 6 under-par. He turned professional in January 2020 and has played on the Alps Tour since. After today’s first round, his goal is to bring home a victory here at the 2022 Open de la Mirabelle d’Or. Daniel commented: “The course is very enjoyable and in great conditions. I had an up and down round today, some very good shots as well as some very bad ones but I managed to keep it together and bring home a good score so I’m very pleased with myself.”

Amateur Tom Vaillant from France currently 8^th in the Order of Merit, shot a 5 under-par 65 round which included 6 birdies and a single bogey on the 18^th hole is 1 shot back from the lead. After his round, Tom commented: “the course is in great shape, greens are great, rough too so it’s cool to play here.”

The 142 players in the field are competing for €40,000 and 45,000 points in the order of merit. The winner of the 2022 Open International de la Mirabelle D’Or will gain € 5,800 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.

Round 2-

Round 2 of the 2022 Open de la Mirabelle D’Or will begin again at 7:30 am from hole 1 and 10. After the second round, a cut will be made to the top 40 players.
