Biarritz, July 26th, 2025- After two rounds of the 2025 Biarritz Cup by C&S Partners, the competition remains fierce with a tightly packed leaderboard setting the stage for an exciting final day. Ireland’s Ronan Mullarney leads at 15 under-par. Just one stroke behind is French amateur Rudy Sautron at 14 under-par, while Italy’s Matteo Cristoni holds solo third place at 12 under-par. Tied for 4th place at 11 under-par are France’s Victor DubuissonAugustin Holé, and Quentin Debove, all well within reach as the tournament heads into its decisive final round.

The 2025 Biarritz Cup by C&S Partners marks a historic first as it joins forces with the Alps Tour, elevating the prestige of Continental Europe’s oldest amateur event. Held at the renowned Golf de Biarritz Le Phare, the tournament now features top amateurs and professionals from across Europe. Past champions include José María Olazábal and Jorge Campillo.

This week’s event is crucial in the Alps Tour season, offering valuable Order of Merit points with only a handful of events left. The top five by season’s end will earn 2026 HotelPlanner Tour cards, while the top six players here (including amateurs), up to ten not otherwise exempt, will gain entry to Stage 1 of the 2025 DP World Tour Qualifying School. With the Grand Final approaching, the stakes are higher than ever.

Round 2 Players’ Quotes

Ireland’s Ronan Mullarney, 29, who was tied for third place after the opening round with a 6-under-par 63, continued his strong form with a bogey-free 9-under-par 60 in today’s second round to move into the lead at the 2025 Biarritz Cup by C&S Partners, with a two-day total of 15-under-par. Mullarney, earned two victories during the 2023 season, which secured him the Order of Merit title and earned the promotion to the 2024 HotelPlanner Tour. In his impressive 9-under round, he recorded seven birdies on holes 3, 4, 8, 9, 11, 13, and 16, along with an eagle on the par-5 15th hole. “I’m delighted with how I played today,” Mullarney said. “I shot a decent score yesterday, but it wasn’t as clean as it was today. It was a little bit less of a struggle, and a few more putts dropped, so I was happy.” He credited his preparation for the performance, adding, “I studied the course a bit before I came here, and I truly believe this is a strategy golf course—it’s not very long. I was able to set my strategy ahead of time, and now I’m putting it into play as much as possible, relying on my wedges and putting.” Despite the strong finish, there was a hint of unfinished business. “It would have been nice to drop the last putt on 18, but I guess it sums up golf pretty well when you shoot 60 and still feel a bit disappointed,” Mullarney reflected. “Hopefully tomorrow I can put together something similar.”

French amateur Rudy Sautron, 19, continued his impressive form at the 2025 Biarritz Cup by C&S Partners, following up his opening 7-under-par 62 with another 62 in today’s second round to sit just one stroke off the lead at 14-under-par. After opening with back-to-back birdies on holes 1 and 2, Sautron made his only bogey of the day at the 4th hole before going on a strong run, carding birdies at holes 6, 11, 12, and 14, and holing a remarkable 50-foot eagle putt on the par-5 15th hole to cap off his round. A standout collegiate golfer at the University of NebraskaSautron has earned multiple accolades, including Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week, and recently claimed victory at the Indian Creek Invitational, which secures him a start on the Korn Ferry Tour’s upcoming Pinnacle Bank Championship“It went pretty well, you know. Putting was on point along with the long game,” Sautron said. “I got a good eagle on 15 today, which allowed me to be more in contention, it’s a great feeling!” Looking ahead, he added, “I’ll try to stay present and not focus on the leaderboard. Just play my game and let the birdies come.” As for his professional ambitions, Sautron shared, “I plan to turn professional in two years after I finish my degree in Nebraska. Ideally, I’d like to pursue the Korn Ferry Tour in the U.S. But no, even if I win tomorrow, I promised myself I’d complete my college degree first.” Reflecting on the round, he noted, “The eagle on 15 was definitely the highlight. But I’d say my iron game toward the end of the round was a weakness. I’ll work on being more consistent to give myself a real chance to win this tournament tomorrow.”

In solo third place with a two-day total of 12-under-par is Italy’s Matteo Cristoni,23, who fired a 6-under-par 63 in today’s second round. His scorecard included six birdies, two bogeys, and an eagle.

In a three-way tie for fourth place at 11 under-par after two rounds are former Ryder Cup player and two-time DP World Tour winner Victor DubuissonAlps Tour winner Augustin Holé, and fellow Frenchman Quentin Debove.

Debove delivered a remarkable bogey-free 10-under-par in today’s second round, tying the course record at Golf de Biarritz Le Phare. He carded birdies on holes 1, 3, 4, and 8, then continued his momentum on the back nine with three consecutive birdies from holes 10 to 12, followed by another three in a row from hole 14 to hole 16. “It was my first round ever that I was able to go below 60,” said Debove“I made 10 birdies and no bogey—it’s the unofficial course record here. I’m very excited and looking forward to competing tomorrow to hopefully try and get the title.”

A total of 43 players including 12 amateurs made the cut which was set at 133 (-5).

The Final Round will begin at 7:30 a.m. local time from the 1st hole. The Final Pairing will tee off at 10:00 a.m. local time from the 1st hole.

14th June 2025 | Alps Tour Golf

Italy’s Jacopo Vecchi Fossa Surges Into the Lead at the 2025 Open de la Mirabelle d’Or.

Metz, June 14th, 2025- Italy’s Jacopo Vecchi Fossa surged into the lead after Round 2 of the 2025 Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or, posting a two-day total of 11-under-par. He holds a four-shot advantage over a trio tied for second at 7-under: France’s Augustin Holé, Ireland’s Robert Moran, and Luca Memeo from Italy. Just one stroke behind them, a three-way tie for fifth place includes Spain’s Jorge Maicas, French amateur Rodolphe Cicala, and Ireland’s Ronan Mullarney, setting the stage for a tightly contested final round in Metz.

Round 2 of the 22nd Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or took place today at Golf Domaine de la Grange aux Ormes, near Metz, France. Play proceeded under sunny skies and steadily increasing temperatures, providing stable conditions for the competition.

Round 2 Player Quotes

Italy’s Jacopo Vecchi Fossa, 30, who won various events on the Alps Tour as well as capturing the 2021 Alps Tour Order of Merit title, which allowed him to gain status on the now HotelPlanner Tour, leads after two rounds with a two-day total of 11 under-par. He followed his opening round of 4-under-par 66 with an impressive 7-under-par 63, carding birdies on holes 1,3,4,7,8,11,12, and 17 with his only bogey of the day came on hole 10. Reflecting on his performance, Vecchi Fossa said, “My round today began straight away well as I made birdies right away on holes 1, 3, and 4. My game was good, as well as my putting, I had good feelings all around. Today I also nearly made a hole-in-one and holed out from a greenside bunker, so let’s say it was an untypical round. I only missed one shot throughout the entire day on the 10th hole where I made a bogey, but after that, I was able to make some crucial putts coming in for birdie to sign for my 7-under-par.” Vecchi Fossa added: “Tomorrow, I will play against the course and not the rest of the field, aiming to hit the fewest shots and maintain the momentum I had today. I have good feelings and will bring them into tomorrow’s round. I won’t look at the leaderboard, focus on my game, and see what happens once we end the round.”

Augustin Holé, 27, of France, winner of the 2023 Alps Tour Grand Final, moved into a tie for second place with a two-day total of 7-under-par. Holé followed his opening round of 4-under-par, 66 with a 3-under-par, 67 in the second round. Starting on the 10th hole, he opened with a triple bogey but recovered quickly, carding birdies on holes 12, 15, 16, and 17, along with bogeys on 13 and 18. After making the turn, he added four more birdies on holes 3, 4, 6, and 8 to close out his round, crediting a strong mental approach and consistent execution. “It went well, especially after my triple bogey on 10 and bogey on 13,” he said. “I tried to stay in the present—that’s something I’ve been working on recently, focusing shot by shot without worrying about the leaderboard, and I’m happy I was able to do that today.” Holéhighlighted his putting and accuracy on the back nine as key factors, noting, “My putting was extremely solid, and I didn’t miss any greens so that helps. I don’t hit a lot of drivers here. My focus is hitting fairways and greens because once you miss either, it’s not that easy. But when you’re in the fairways, you can take advantage of the opportunities.” Looking ahead, Holé plans to stick with the same approach: “Tomorrow will be the same, hit good shots, play smart golf without doing anything special—and if the putter gets going, you can score quite low out here. Then the focus remains on myself and what I can control. You can’t control what anyone else does. Now I’ll rest, prepare for tomorrow, and most importantly, have fun and enjoy the round.”

Joining Holé in a three-way tie for 2nd place with a score of 7 under-par: Ireland’s Robert Moran and Italy’s Luca Memeo.

A total of 50 players made the cut which was set at 140 (Par).

The Final Round of the 2025 Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or will begin at 9:25 a.m. local time from the 1st and 10th hole. The leaders will begin their last round at 10:53 a.m. local time from the 1st hole.

The winner of the 2025 Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or, will earn the winning check of €6,200 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.

23rd May 2025 | Alps Tour Golf

Round 2 of the 2025 Lacanau Alps Open ends with a three-way tie for the lead.

Lacanau-Océan, May 23rd, 2025– After two rounds of the 2025 Lacanau Alps Open, the competition remains fierce, with the leaderboard tightly packed heading into the final day. France’s Quentin Debove, Spain’s Javier Calles Roman, and Spain’s Jorge Maicas share the lead at 8-under-par. Close behind, a three-way tie for fourth place at 7-under-par featuring England’s Luca Houlgate, France’s Augustin Holé, and Italy’s Luca Cavalli, all well within striking distance as the tournament moves into its decisive final round.

Round 2 of the 2025 Lacanau Alps Open continued today at its traditional host venue, UGolf Lacanau in Lacanau-Océan, France. Players competed under mostly sunny skies with light to moderate winds.

Round 2 Player Quotes

France’s Quentin Debove, 23, who was tied for the lead after the opening round, continued his strong form with a 3 under-par, 69 in today’s second round to remain in a share of the lead at the 2025 Lacanau Alps Open with a two-day total of 8-under-par. Currently ranked fifth in the Order of Merit, Debove has already recorded two runner-up finishes in Egypt earlier this season and is still searching for his first win on the Alps Tour. He got off to a challenging start in his second round, making two bogeys in the first three holes, but quickly rebounded with five birdies over the remaining holes to close out his round. “Today was another solid day,” Debove said. “I was 2-over through three, which isn’t ideal, but I’m very proud of how I fought back and managed to shoot 1-under on my front nine. Then I played very solid on the back nine. I hit a lot of greens, gave myself chances, and made no mistakes. I believe the key today was missing in the right spots, which allowed me to make a bunch of easy pars. For tomorrow, I’m not going to change anything. I want to be smart and stay in my own game. I’ll try to take advantage of the easier holes again, and on the tougher ones, stick to my game plan and miss in the correct spots.”

Spain’s Javier Calles Roman, 23, who turned professional in May 2024, moved into a share of the lead with a two-day total of 8-under-par after round 2 of the 2025 Lacanau Alps Open. He followed his opening round of 4-under-par, 68 with another 4-under, 68 in round two, which featured five birdies and a single bogey on the 9th hole, his final hole of the day. “Today I stuck with my strategy, which I adjusted slightly from yesterday, especially off the tee, and it paid off,” said Calles Roman“I’m very happy with the changes. I managed to miss in the right spots, which allowed me to recover well. Overall, it was a very positive round with some strong putting. I’m looking forward to tomorrow, it’s a new day and a new opportunity.”

Jorge Maicas, 27, from Spain, co-leads alongside Debove and Calles RomanMaicas, the most recent winner on the Alps Tour after capturing last week’s 2025 Gösser Open, carded a 4-under-par 68 in today’s round, making five birdies and one bogey for a two-day total of 8-under-par. “Today, I played a bit better than yesterday, especially on the greens, but it was a good battle with the wind,” said Maicas“It was stronger and definitely more in play, but overall, a fun day. I’ve felt very comfortable with my tee shots this week and have adapted well to the greens. I have good sensations and I’m making a solid number of putts. Of course, this is a new week, and I’m fully focused on this tournament and where I stand, but last week’s win gave me a nice confidence boost. That said, the past is the past, and I’m ready for a new day and hopefully a new opportunity to perform at my best.”

England’s Luca Houlgate, 22, made a significant move up the leaderboard in round two. After starting the day tied for 23rd place following his opening round, Houlgate carded a 5 under-par, 67 to climb into a share of fourth place at 7-under-par overall. His round included six birdies and just one bogey, showcasing a well-rounded and composed performance. “I’m really happy with today’s round and how I hit the ball,” said Houlgate. “I holed some really nice putts and made some great par saves that kept the momentum going. I’m looking forward to getting back out there tomorrow, playing the course again, and hopefully continuing what I’ve been doing the last couple of days. We’ll see where that puts me come tomorrow afternoon.”

Augustin Holé, 27, from France, winner of the 2023 Alps Tour Grand Final, surged into a tie for fourth place alongside Luca Houlgate with a two-day total of 7-under-par. Holé followed his opening round of even-par 72 with an impressive 7 under-par, 65 in round two, which included birdies on holes 2, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13, 16, 17, and 18, offset by bogeys on holes 1 and 12. “My mindset has been the same all week long so far, being patient and playing the game of golf,” Holé said. “I saw three of my coaches earlier this week, Benoit TeilleriaDavid Ames, and Franck Rigole, and each of them gave me some work to do, so I’m just trying to put it all together. I was happy to shoot even par yesterday after being 2-over with two holes to play. I’ve felt close to a low score for a while but kept making too many mistakes, and today finally felt like the day I’ve been waiting for.” While Holé credited solid ball-striking, he highlighted another key to his low round. “What helped me a lot today was my short game. This course is a lot about shaping the ball and seeing curves, and I enjoy these golf courses. Tomorrow, I want to keep working. I know there might be some nerves, but I’ll focus on controlling what I can. The rest, we’ll see. Today, a good friend, Nathan Cardet, came to caddy for me, and it was nice to share such an enjoyable round with him.”

Joining Houlgate and Holé in a three-way tie for fourth place at 7-under-par is Italy’s Luca Cavalli, who backed up his opening round of 4-under-par 68 with a 3-under-par 69 in today’s second round.

Spain’s Rocco Repetto, winner of the 2025 La Cigale Golf Open by Alps Tour, delivered a fabulous performance in round two, firing a 10 under-par, 62 to set the unofficial course record at UGolf Lacanau. His bogey-free round included eight birdies and one eagle, surpassing the previous mark of 9-under-par. It is an unofficial course record as players are competing with preferred lies.

A total of 45 players made the cut, set at 142 (-2). The Final Round will begin at 9:28 a.m. local time from the 1st and 10th hole. The Final Pairing will tee off at 10:45 a.m. local time from the 1st hole.

The winner of the 2025 Lacanau Alps Open will take home €6,900 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.

It’s been a goal of mine to win an Alps Tour event for over a year and to be able to do it today, I’m speechless. I lost my dad a couple of years back, and this one is definitely for him and for my family around me. I’m so grateful to have the people that I have around me, my staff, my friends so this one is for them and for myself. I give all of them credit but also myself. I now have Stage 2 of Q-School and hopefully, I will be able to repeat the same thing there but we will see how it goes. Now I will enjoy it and take a few days off.”

Throughout the season, he won two events, one in Austria and one in France. As much as it is great being on the Alps Tour, tons of nice people, I’m glad to be off the Alps Tour and move on to the next step. I was happy with my golf this year, I feel ready to compete there. I was able to play a few Challenge Tour events before and I was able to step up my game so now I’m ready.” When asked about his experience playing on the Alps Tour he added: “The standard of the Alps Tour is extremely high. The courses are great, and it’s a good test of your game.” Tournament PromoterThe 2023 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by AURALIS Limitless Lighting is promoted directly by the Alps Tour.

It definitely wasn’t the best of starts, but some of the best rounds start with a bogey on the first, it’s just another hole and you have keep playing with the same intensity and try to turn it around.” Garcia Broto went on to comment that, “It was a bit windy and it was tricky to judge where the wind was coming from. I felt like it switched directions constantly and it made it difficult to judge some of the shots. But pretty happy with how I have handled it.” Looking ahead to what a win would mean to him, “It would mean a lot. Not just for winning, which is always very gratifying, also because it would put me in a position where I could fight for the Challenge Tour card at the end of the season and that is the main goal. I will continue doing my work on and off the course, trying to shoot as low as possible in the remaining rounds and hopefully that will give me a chance of winning the tournament on Saturday.”Oihan Guillamoundeguy from France, just eighteen years old, who represents Golf Club Seignosse is the second player tied for the lead after the 1st round at the 2023 Abruzzo Alps Open. He shot a 5 under-par, 65 with 2 bogeys, 1 eagle and 5 birdies. He is a past winner on the Alps Tour having won the 2022 Red Sea Little Venice Open as an amateur. He turned professional in December 2022 and this is his first season as a professional player. So far, he has captured various top 5 finishes but is looking to breakthrough and grab his 1st title as a professional on the Alps Tour hopefully before the end of the season. After his 5 under-par round, Guillamoundeguy expressed his satisfaction: “today was a great round, I played really good. It wasn’t easy, it was windy so it was hard to hit some greens and judge where the wind was coming from. I would say that my putting was very good today. I changed putter recently and I feel good with it so I will definitely stick to this new putter now.” When asked about chasing his first win as a professional he added, “it would definitely be great. I’ve been playing well and now need to be able to put 3 good rounds together.”

Augustin Hole from France concluded his 1st round at the 2023 Abruzzo Alps Open in a 7-way tie for 3rd place with a total score of 4 under-par,66. During today’s round he made 3 bogeys and 7 birdies. He is 26 years old and currently represents Biarritz Le Phare. After his opening round, Hole explained: “It was a good round today, considering that the wind was very swirling for most of the day. Especially after 6 holes. My goal is definitely to win an event before the end of the year. I just need to be more patient and a little bit more precise on some shots. I will keep doing what I am doing mostly, because it works fine but focusing on the little things I need to change. My strategy will be the same, you can be very aggressive this week as the greens are soft and a little bit slow.”

Netherland’s Davey Porsius is also in the 7-way tie for 3rd place after round 1 with a total score of 4 under-par, 66. He is 27 years old and represents Goyer Golf Club. During his opening round, Porsius made 1 bogey and 5 birdies. After he signed his card, his first reactions were: “It was okay, I hit a lot of greens but none of them were super close. However, I was able to make some important birdies coming down the stretch. To be honest, conditions are a bit different from usual, fairways are a bit higher than normal which makes it tough to judges distances.”

Alongside Hole and Porsius in the 7-way tie for 3rd place at 4 under-par: Estonia’s Sander Aadusaar, Spain’s Joel Moscateland Quim Vidal, France’s Franck Medale and Italy’s Ludovico Addabbo.

The 144 players from 15 different nations are competing for a prize fund of €40.000 and 45,000 Order of Merit points. The winner of the 9th edition of the 2023 Abruzzo Alps Open will earn €5,800 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.
