Shaken first round, Wallace and Bolognesi leaders at club house

Storms and heavy rain delayed tee times by more than 5 hours and Vigevano Open finally started at 13h00. Half of the field still have to complete their first round tomorrow morning. Among those who have finished, Italy’s Andrea Bolognesi and Alps Tour leader Matt Wallace share club house lead with -5.

Wallace has just won the 3 last events on the Alps Tour and it doesn’t seem that the young Englishman want to slow down. His momentum today was when he holed 4 birdies in a row on his back nine from the 4th hole.

Austria’s Uli Weinhandl put himself in a position to overcome the two latters. He only played 9 holes but he already recorded 4 birdies and one eagle without dropping any shot.

Play will resume at 7h30 Friday morning.
