Roland Steiner qualified for World Cup… and more
The Austrian team of Roland Steiner and Florian Praegant won the Omega Mission Hills World Cup European Qualifier by three strokes to secure their ticket to China alongside. Roland Steiner played on Alps Tour in 2007 and was second at the final ranking.
Beside Steiner, many former Alps Tour members had great results this season. Frenchman Anthony Snobeck, member in 2006, won his second title on the Challenge Tour last May. Fellow Edouard Dubois, 2009 Alps Tour player, had already won twice on the Challenge Tour this year and has for sure secured his card to play European Tour next season.
Italian golf has been providing great players for many years now. Among new Italian talents, Lorenzo Gagli, Alps Tour player in 2007 and three time winner. Gagli had his best result a few weeks ago when he finished third at Baclays Scottish Open. Lorenzo Gagli is 59th at the Race to Dubai.
Last but not least, after re-ranking the twenty players of category 10, those who got graduated through satellite tours, former Alps Tour members get the best results. Matthew Cryer, Jason Palmer, Matteo Delpodio and Gavin Dear are in top 8.
