France’s Julien Foret fired astonishing 61-9-under-par card to lead by one stroke at -11 at Feudo di Asti Open. His round could have been “only” a good one but he holed 5 birdies in a row on last 5 holes and signed for the greatest score of the day. On his toes, fellows Xavier Poncelet and Edwin Thomann. Xavier Poncelet, 25 year old, is playing his third season on Alps Tour and Edwin Thomann, 21 year old, is a rookie, He was amateur as he played the qualifying school to play Alps Tour and turned pro beginning of 2011. This week, he celebrated his first cut on the Alps Tour.

French players did not have any win this season and last one was in september in Open Stade Français with Rapheal Eyraud defeating his fellow Matthieu Bey after one extra hole play-off.

The best Italian player is still Cristiano Terragni 3 strokes back of the lead. The great story of the day is the revange of another Italian player. Joon Kim. Yesterday, he had lived a nightmare on the 3rd hole par 5 and signed an horrible 11. He Hdd finished the day 4 over par. Today, it seemed that that bad dream gave him wings. He holed 8 birdies and dropped only one shot to sign for a solid 63, 7 under par. He jumped at 28th position.

The cut is fixed at -2, 41 players including young amateur Domenico Geminiani.
