After his win, Adarraga Gomez commented: “It was a very good tournament for me even if I had a tough start to the round making a few bogeys in a row. For the rest of the round, I focused and played some good golf. I made a very good birdie on the 18th hole to finish the round.” He added that he found: “Both of the golf courses we played this week were in very good conditions, and the greens were in excellent conditions for the entire tournament also.” Adarraga Gomez plans on: “playing the entire 2025 season on the Alps Tour to try and finish in the top 5 at the end of the year to earn access to the 2025 Challenge Tour.”

Victor Garcia Broto, 27, from Spain, concludes the 2024 Alps Tour Q-School Final Stage in 2nd place with a three-day score of 9 under-par. We played two different courses this week, so it’s always challenging because the greens and the conditions aren’t always the same for the two courses. So, I’m very happy with the results, I’ve been playing well lately but this week especially since yesterday’s round 2. It’s a relief, I mean, it’s been a tough season for me this year so to end it with good feelings it’s always nice. I’m overall very happy and already looking forward to the next season.”

14th November 2024 | Alps Tour Golf

Spain’s Jose Luis Adarraga Gomez leads after Day 2 at the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School Final Stage.

Rome, November 14th 2024 – Spain’s Jose Luis Adarraga Gomez leads by 1 stroke at the end of the 2nd round of the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School Final Stage. In a three-way tie for 2nd place at 7 under-par: Ireland’s Liam Nolan, Italy’s Alessandro Nodari, and Matteo Cristoni (am).

A chillier and more overcast morning was the backdrop of today’s second round of the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School Final Stage. The weather conditions were tougher today as it was a colder and windier day compared to the opening round.  The 156 players compete to earn their 2025 Alps Tour Playing Cards on Golf Nazionale (Par 72) and Terre dei Consoli Golf Club (Par 72). The players switched between the two golf courses compared to yesterday’s round.

Round 2 Player QuotesSpain’s Jose Luis Adarraga Gomez, who was in a tie for 29th place at 1 under par yesterday, concluded his 2nd round of the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School Final Stage with a two-day total of 8 under par. Today, he competed at Golf Nazionale, shooting a bogey-free round of 7 under par, 65. He finds himself in the lead heading into tomorrow’s final round of the Q-School Final Stage. Once he concluded his round 2, Adarraga Gomez commented: “Yesterday, I played well, but I lost one ball and another in the water. Today was perfect, I played well, and my strategy was perfect as well as my putting. I holed a lot of important putts.” He added that he found the: “Weather to be much different today. It is much colder today; the scores are higher, and I strongly believe the cut will also increase. It is a much different day compared to yesterday. A bit of north wind is picking up, which is also making it quite challenging out there.”

Liam Nolan from Ireland, 24, is in a 3-way tie for 2nd place with a two-day total of 7 under-par. Today, he shot a 3 under-par 69 at Golf Nazionale with 4 birdies and 1 bogey. After his round, Nolan said he was: “very happy with my round today. I held some good putts today to avoid dropping shots, keeping my round going nicely with some good momentum. Today was a lot tougher compared to yesterday. It was colder and windier, which made the par 5s longer, so there were fewer birdie opportunities on the course. It was important for me to stay patient and try and capitalize on chances when they came.” Nolan turned professional a few months ago, and “?it would be a great achievement to earn full status tomorrow to give me a full season of competitive golf. It is a great opportunity to continue to improve my game and I’m excited for tomorrow to try and get the chance to earn the full status after tomorrow’s final round.”

Alessandro Nodari, 24, from Italy, who was in the tie for 29th place alongside Adarraga Gomez after yesterday’s 1st round with a score of 1 under-par, 71, now finds himself in a 3-way tie for 2nd place with a two-day score of 7 under-par. He shot a bogey-free 6 under-par 66 at Golf Nazionale today to make a move up the leaderboard. After his round, Nodari explained,Personally found this course much harder than Terre dei Consoli, which I played yesterday. The conditions today were tougher; it was windier, and the greens were harder, so it was important to calculate your yardages very well and where you wanted to land your ball. Today, my tee shots were very good; I hit nearly every fairway, which was a bonus to keep my ball always in play.”

Italian amateur Matteo Cristoni,22, is the third player in the 3-way tie for 2nd place with a two-day total of 7 under-par. He shot a 5-under-par round during yesterday’s first round at Terre dei Consoli Golf Club, and today, he shot a 2 under-par 70 at Golf NazionaleCristoni is competing as an amateur this week, and currently, “turning professional isn’t part of my short-term plans as I still need to graduate from college. I’m in Italy for about 2 weeks and then will return to the United States. I hit 16 greens today, it was unfortunate the double bogey on 3, but overall, my game was good, and I’m looking forward to tomorrow.”

The highlight of the day belongs to Spain’s Ruben Pardo Rodriguez who made a fabulous hole-in-one during his Round 2 at Terre dei Consoli Golf Club on the 146 meters, 16th hole with a 9-iron.

Rome, November 13th, 2024 – France’s Victor Veyret and Polish amateur Nikolas Tyminski co-lead with a 6 under-par, 66 at the end of the 1st round at the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School Final Stage. There is a 3-way tie for 3rd place with a 1st round score of 5 under-par with: France’s Adrien Bonnet and Italian amateurs Lucas Fallotico and Matteo Cristoni.

A beautiful sunny morning in Northern Rome, welcomed the 156 players who began their quest to earn one of the 2025 Alps Tour Playing Cards that is up for grabs at this week’s event. For the first two rounds, the players are split between Golf Nazionale (Par 72) and Terre dei Consoli Golf Club (Par 72) and will play one round on each course.  After Round 2, a cut will be made, and the players who qualify for the final round will compete in the last 18 holes at Golf Nazionale.

Round 1 Player Quotes

Victor Veyret, 27, from France, co-leads after Round 1 at the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School Final Stage, which began today in Rome. He shot an opening round at Terre dei Consoli Golf Club of 6 under-par, 66 with 7 birdies and 1 bogey.  Once Veyret concluded his round, he said, “Overall, pretty happy with today on the course. We did a good job with my caddie, mainly thanks to a good round with my wedges and putter. I like both courses we are playing this week, to be honest. They are quite different from what we are used to playing during the season, but it’s a good test of golf.” Veyret plans on “staying in my own bubble and enjoy the tournament” over the next two rounds.

Polish amateur Nikolas Tyminski, 18, co-leads alongside Veyret after the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School Final Stage opening roundHe began his tournament with a fabulous bogey-free round of 6 under-par,66 at Terre dei Consoli Golf Club, making 3 birdies and 3 bogeys on each 9 holes. After he signed for his 6 under-par round, he commented, “It’s a very solid start to the 3-day golf marathon this week. I played solid tee to green and, fortunately, made a few putts around the turn to rack up some birdies. I’m most satisfied today with how I was committed to my shots the entire day. Pretty much all the shots I hit today were under full commitment, which is very important for me.” Tyminski is competing as an amateur, and “as of right now, I don’t have any plans to turn professional, but who knows what the future holds! My main focus is to get some status for next year’s Alps Tour season and enjoy this week in Italy eating my favorite food.”

France’s Adrien Bonnet, 25, finds himself in a 3-way tie for 3rd place after the 1st round of the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School Final Stage. He shot an opening round of 5 under-par, 67, making 6 birdies and 1 bogey at Terre dei Consoli Golf Club. After his round, Bonnet explained, “The greens are quite different between the two courses this week, but I like the firmness of the greens at Golf Nazionale and the quickness of the greens here in Terre de Consoli Golf Club. Overall, today was good. I got a good start to the tournament and am pleased with how it went.” Now, “I will take my mind away from golf because I stayed calm during the round, and now, I want to think about other things.” Obviously, Bonnet added, like the rest of the players in the field this week, the goal is to “finish as high as possible in the leaderboard to try and earn the best playing category I can for next season.”

Lucas Fallotico (am), 22, from Italy, is also in the 3-way tie for 3rd place after his opening round at Golf Nazionale. He made 7 birdies and 2 bogeys throughout his day. When he finished his round, he commented: “Today was good. I didn’t play great when I began my round, but I recovered after the bogeys I made. Mainly, I was able to recover due to the good tee shots I was able to hit and some clutch putts I holed, which allowed me to get to -5.” Fallotico is still an amateur, and he’s a member of the Italian National Team, he “knows Golf Nazionale well. However, it’s a course I always struggled over the years to put a good score together, so with today’s round, putting a good round under par is gratifying and puts me in a good position for the rest of the week.”  He added, “I know Golf Nazionale well, but there are quite some differences between the two golf courses. Terre dei Consoli Golf Course is more open, and the wind is more of a factor. They are two good tests of golf, but for the moment, I’ll say I enjoyed this one more as I played better, but we will see tomorrow.” Fallotico is competing as an amateur but “is planning on turning professional soon. I’m training well, and I’m reaching my goals. This tournament is also a test for me to see if I can turn pro, so if this tournament goes well, there is a good chance I’ll turn pro.”

Alongside Bonnet and Fallotico in the three-way tie for 3rd place at 5 under-par, there is Italian amateur Matteo Cristoni, who competed at Terre dei Consoli Golf Club today.

After the 54 holes, the top 35 players and ties ranked according to score will be eligible to receive Category 6 membership for the 2025 Alps Tour Season.

The remainder of the players who made the cut, and finished between the 36th and 65th positions will be eligible to receive Category 8 membership for next year’s season. The remaining players who conclude the tournament between the 66th and 156th positions will be eligible for membership in Category 9 for the 2025 Alps Tour Season

After tomorrow’s round, a cut will be made to the top 65 players and ties who will compete in the tournament’s final round, which will be played at Golf Nazionale.

Thursday marks the beginning of the 2024 Qualifying School Stage 1 tournaments.

November 5th 2024- The 20th edition of the Alps Tour Qualifying School will take place in Italy, just like the past four seasons. The 1st Stage events will be played on November 7th and 8th at three distinct golf clubs: Golf Club Le FontiGolf del Ducato Parma – La Rocca, and Conero Golf Club. The Final Stage of the 2024 Qualifying School will take place at Golf Nazionale and Terre dei Consoli Golf Club in Northern Rome from November 13th – 15th.

In the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School fields, there are 138 amateur players and 37 players under 20 years old. A total of 35 different nations, including: Argentina, Bulgaria, Brazil, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, Lithuania, Lebanon, New Zealand, Poland, and the United States of America, will be represented throughout the 2024 Qualifying School.

For the second year in a row, we received nearly 300 applications from players who wanted to participate in the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School. Applications were open to any male professional golfer who belongs to a recognized PGA or Golf Federation, as well as male amateur players with a handicap of 2.0 or better.

In the three 1st Stage events, there will be 203 players competing over the three different venues. The tournaments will be played over 36 holes with no cut, and the top-ranked players will gain access to the Final Stage event, where the top-ranked players will earn a full Alps Tour card for the 2025 season.

There will be 156 players in the field at the Final Stage of the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School, where 75 players have already been exempt.

The exempt players from the 1st stage and automatically eligible to participate in the Final Stage are: all players ranked in the 2024 Alps Tour Order of Merit after the 2024 Croara Alps Open who weren’t in the field at the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT – The Male Tools & Co., all of the past winners of the Alps Tour Order of Meritfrom 2012 to 2021, the winners of the Alps Tour Qualifying School in 2021, 2022 and 2023, the leading 10 European Amateur Players in the World Amateur Golf Rankings as of October 14th 2024, players who competed at the 2023 World Amateur Team Championship and/or the 2024 European Boys/Men Team Championships and/or the 2023 Walker Cup and players being members of the European Tour for the 2024 season until category 20 and members of the Challenge Tour for the 2024 season until category 16.

The Golf Courses

The three First Stages of this year’s Qualifying School will be disputed over three golf courses throughout Italy:  Golf Club Le FontiGolf del Ducato Parma – La Rocca, and Conero Golf Club.

The first venue that has been constant on our schedule as a host for the Stage 1 Qualifying School event is in Northern Italy, approximately 30km southeast of Bologna. The tournament will unfold at Golf Club Le Fonti in Castel San Pietro Terme. The course is home to 18 holes of golf and will be set as a par 71, 6411 meters. Rolling hills and a typical Emilia-Romagna landscape surround Golf Club Le Fonti. It has previously hosted Alps Tour events, Ladies European Tour events, and Qualifying Schools. The players will face multiple water hazards, making it a tough challenge.

Golf del Ducato Parma – La Rocca is the second course hosting Stage 1 events this year. It is a 6078-meter par 72 course in the Province of Parma, about 100km from Bologna and just 10 minutes from Parma in the Emilia-Romagna Region. It was founded in 1985 on the edge of the Boschi di Carrega nature park. The parkland golf course unfolds amongst oak and acacia forests, beautiful ponds, and slightly hilly terrain with unforgettable views.

This year, Conero Golf Club is the third golf course hosting Stage 1 Qualifying School. It opened in 1992 and was developed within Conero Park. It is a 5868-meter par 71 course set in almost seventy hectares, with gorse, arbutus, oak, tamarisk, and cherry trees envelop the golf course.  The terrain is slightly soft and offers a wide variety of situations and landscapes: on the first nine holes, play will be influenced by the presence of a lake, which comes into play. On the back nine, the terrain changes its characteristics, and beautiful views of the rural surrounding landscapes will be the backdrop of the course. Conero Golf Club is also home to an executive 5 holes course in the middle of the complex.

The entire Alps Tour family would like to wish the best of luck to all the participants competing at the three different venues, and we are eager to follow the next rising golf stars #risinggolfstars!

18th October 2024 | Alps Tour Golf

Italy’s Enrico Di Nitto wins the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT – The Male Tools & Co.

Cassina Rizzardi, October 18th, 2024 – It was another long day for the 47 players competing at the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT – The Male Tools & Co.. After the 2nd round was suspended last night at 6:34 p.m. due to darkness, it resumed under some on-and-off rain showers this morning at 8:30 a.m. local time. Unfortunately, at 9: 28 a.m. local time, the Tournament Director, Mr. Alessandro Pia, had to stop play again due to heavy rain showers and unplayable course conditions. At 12:45 p.m. local time, Round 2 was able to resume.

At that point, the Tournament Committee had announced that the 3rd round of the tournament would be canceled, and the tournament would now be reduced to 36 holes due to the risk of being unable to complete another 18 holes with the uncertainty of the weather forecast and the daylight.

The entire Alps Tour staff and players would like to sincerely thank Golf Club Monticello Head Superintendent Michele Deiana and his staff for their outstanding work before the tournament and during the past few difficult days.

France’s Benjamin Kedochim wins the 2024 Alps Tour Order of Merit with 28,118.90 points and secures himself one of the five sought-after 2025 Challenge Tour cards that were up for grabs this season. Alongside Kedochim, Italy’s Enrico Di Nitto with 25,794.35 points, Brandon Kewalramani from the United States of America with 23,495.00 points, France’s Damien Perrier with 20,800.80 points, and Netherland’s Vince Van Veen with 20,555.40 points earned the remaining 4 cards that will give each of them access to the 2025 Challenge Tour with category 12b.

The winner’s trophy handed to Enrico Di Nitto was designed and created by artist-designer Roberta Verteramo.

Winner’s Quotes

Enrico Di Nitto, 31, from Italy, wins the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT- The Male Tools & Co. with a two-round score of 8 under-par. He earned 9,500 Order of Merit points and the winner’s check of €10,000.  He followed his opening round of 1 under-par, 71 with an incredible 7 under-par, 65. This was his first win on the Alps Tour since 2019. After his victory, he was very emotional: “This is fantastic, it’s been three long days, very tough days but to end it like this it’s extremely rewarding. My season wasn’t always perfect; my game was struggling in mid-season, and I worked hard with my coach, which paid off. I worked hard and trained a lot to earn results like today. This year, playing on the Alps Tour, I gained a lot of experience and learned a lot, which I’m happy to bring to the Challenge Tourwith me. I want to dedicate this win to my grandfather, who sadly passed away last week. My dad didn’t allow me to go back home for the funeral but wanted me to come here and win it for him, and I’m very happy I was able to do that. It’s also for my wife, family, friends, and myself.”

In a two-way tie for 2nd place at 5 under-par: Italy’s Jacopo Vecchi Fossa and France’s Damien Perrier.

France’s Benjamin Kedochim, who won the 2024 Alps Tour Order of Merit rank, earned one of the coveted 2025 Challenge Tour cards that was up for grabs. Throughout the 2024 season, Kedochim never won an Alps Tour event. However, he obtained 6 top-3, which proved his consistent play. After Kedochim secured his Order of Merit title, he was extremely emotional: “I can’t say anything other than I had a very consistent season. I want to dedicate this win to my family, my girlfriend, my sponsors, and everyone that’s been supporting me from the beginning. The hard work I did paid off and I’m happy. I kept believing in myself every tournament, every round even if I kept coming up a little short. I’m extremely happy with everything I’ve done this season. After this season with no win, I hope to begin my Challenge Tour career with a win during my first event. I will keep doing what I’ve done this season, improving, and hopefully earn my card for the DP World Tour.” Players faced extremely tough conditions this week with numerous weather delays and heavy rain showers, Kedochim commented: “It was a very long week, it was very tough out there to be honest. I played at the French Open last week, and we played two days in the rain. I came this week a little tired, and now I’m even more exhausted now. I did my best this week, played shot after shot, and tried to make the best out of it. I want to thank the greenkeeping staff, the amount of work they did to allow us to complete 36 holes was incredible.” Kedochim has been an Alps Tour player for a few years and reflecting on his experience he added: “I truly believe that the Alps Tour is the best 3rd division tour out here, the organization is great, the courses are good, and the quality of competition is good. Sometimes we have good spectators and that prepares you for the bigger tours. The atmosphere between the players is also truly enjoyable.”

The 47 players in the field competed for a prize fund of €50,000 and 60,000 points. Enrico Di Nitto, winner of the 2024 Alps Tour Grand Final Presented by DEPOT- The Male Tools & Co. earned the check of €10,000 and 9,500 Order of Merit points.
