Casey and Suazo in pole position

Ireland’s Brian Casey and Spain’s Diego Suazo took lead of last Alps Tour event of the season, the 2014 Abruzzo Open.

Ireland’s Brian Casey and Spain’s Diego Suazo took lead of last Alps Tour event of the season, the 2014 Abruzzo Open. They both signed for 65, 6 under par on Miglianico Golf & Country Club course but in a very different way.

Casey shot flawless card with 6 birdies and no dropped shot and Suazo holed two eagles among birdies and bogeys. He holed in one par 3 number 12 and eagled par 5, 9th. The two players are respectively 35th and 47th at the Alps Tour ranking and their target is to enter top 30 to have full category to play next year.

At third place, Autria’s Tobias Nemecz with 66, 5 under par. Lukas’ brother wants to follow his brother on the Challenge Tour and he just recorded a nice 4th place in France last week and a good result could secure his card as one of his challenge Clément Berardo withdrawed from the tournament.

Last week winner, Spaniard Eduardo Larranaga and former Challenge Tour player, Uli Weinhandl are two shots back of the leaders.
