Steven Brown, 27 year old, won his maiden title as pro end of June when he surprised the leaders overpassing them to win the Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or.

Brown is currently 6th at the Alps Tour ranking. This position offered him exemption for the first stage of the European Tour Qhalifying school but he needs to reach the top 5 to get the Challenge Tour category to play next season. A win in Italy could help him a lot to secure this license to play in the upper circuit.

He fired a flawless card of 63 and proved his recent success doesn’t disturb him anymore. He missed a cut in Spain after his victory and only finished tie for 40th last week.

France’s Sébastien Gros did not drop any shot as well and his 65 offered him a second place by his own. He will battle, mano a mano against Brown tomorrow to had a second title to his biography.
