Bertasio confirmed good form
Italy’s Nino Bertasio lead by two shots after opening round in Open de Saint François Guadeloupe. He signed for flawless 64 seven under par. His compatriots Lorenzo Nagini and Giorgio De Filippi scored respectively 66 and 67.
A fornight ago, Bertasio was the runner up on home soil when England’s Alex Christie won Colli Berici Open with narrow one stroke margin. Bertasio had sais that he kept on believing going into a play off until last hole.
This week, in beautiful course of French Carabbean island, Bertasio confirmed his recent good form of past weeks – Top 5 in Gösser Open, 2nd in Colli Berici Open.
Lorenzo Magini best result is a 12th position in Slovenian Open in 2012 and Giorgio De Filippi finished at 11th position in Red Sea little Venice Open in Egypt last February. They both try out the top of a leaderboard.
Alps Tour leader, Frenchman Thomas Elissalde had a slow start in Saint François as he signed for 73, 2 over par. The projected cut is +1 after this opeining round.
