2011 Sardegna Open Costa Smeralda – Failure of promoter and sponsors

The Italian Golf Federation has just informed us that it has taken over the organization of the Open di Sardegna, following the failure of the promoter last week. Anyway, the tournament is held and the pro-am event will be maintained (according to conditions already announced).

Due to the lack of sponsors, the prize money will be reduced to €40,000 and paid entirely by the Italian Federation.

It is with genuine regret that we are making this announcement and we sincerely apologize for the situation beyond our control.
