Spain’s Alvaro Salto took the lead in Madrid on the first round and never let it go. He fired 67 today to win the Peugeot Tour Villa de Madrid 3 shots clear. He already won this trophy in 2003 and despite heat fans were there on course to support him to repeat the story.

Fellow Inigo Urquizu, Alps Tour member, signed for his best result of the season. He fired one eagle, three birdies and dropped two shots. He finished alone at second place. Then, completing the podium, third Spaniard Angus Domingo.

No change in the top 5 of the Alps Tour Order of Merit after Madrid week. Italian Matteo Delpodio increased his leading over Alan Bihan thanks to sixth place tie shared with Englishman Jason Palmer.

Next Alps Tour event will take place in Austria,  from the 6th to 8th of August.
