Round 2 is suspended for the day at the 2024 Hauts de France – Pas de Calais Golf Open.
Saint-Omer, September 13th, 2024- The players competing at the 2024 Hauts de France – Pas de Calais Golf Open, who teed off in the morning wave for the second round, faced harsh conditions with constant heavy rainfall and cold temperatures. Play began at 8:15 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th holes.
At 12:05 p.m., play was suspended due to unplayable course conditions. After various attempts to resume play, at 4:00 p.m., the Tournament Director decided to suspend play for the remainder of the day.
The 2nd round of the 2024 Hauts de France – Pas de Calais Golf Open will resume tomorrow, September 14th, at 8:15 a.m. The afternoon wave will begin at 9:20 a.m. local time.
The tournament will be reduced to 36 holes (2 rounds) with No Cut. Nevertheless, full points and prize money will be allocated.
With half the field left to tee off during Round 2, the current leaderboard has France’s Benjamin Kedochim at -3 under par thru 8 holes of his Round 2, Paul Elissalde from France is also at 3 under par through 8 holes, and France’s Nicolas Aparicio is also at 3 under-par thru 7 holes of round 2. Also at 3 under par, Estonia’s Sander Aadusaar and French amateur Aaron Van Hauwe who have yet to tee off for their Round 2.
The 2024 Hauts de France – Pas de Calais Golf Open is a co-sanctioned event between the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS) and the Alps Tour. The event is being played on the same course with alternating tee times between the Alps Tour players and LETAS players. There are 66 players competing from each tour for two different dedicated prize funds and, thus, trophies.
The 2024 Hauts de France- Pas de Calais Golf Open winner will earn €6,400 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.
