Maxime Legros secures third victory of the season and earns HotelPlanner Tour promotion

France, June 7th, 2026 – Just one week after Andrea Romano, France’s Maxime Legros became the second player this season to earn automatic promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour by claiming a third Alps Tour title. Following victories at the Dreamland Open and the Miglianico Alps Open, the Frenchman added the Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or to his impressive 2026 campaign.

Starting the final round one shot behind overnight leader Enrico Di Nitto, the Dinard-based player needed only one hole to catch the Italian. He then took control of the tournament with an eagle, five birdies and a single bogey on his way to a superb 63 (-7).

Di Nitto, playing alongside Legros in the final group, could only manage an even-par round. The Italian nevertheless shared second place, six shots behind the winner, with compatriot Alessandro Nodari, who closed with a solid 65 (-5).

Ireland’s Robert Moran and Italy’s Davide Buchi shared fourth place, seven strokes back.

Behind Andrea Romano and Maxime Legros, Robert Moran consolidated his third position in the Order of Merit ahead of Spain’s Pablo Alperi Lopez (4th) and Mario Galiano Aguilar (5th). Thanks to his runner-up finish, Alessandro Nodari climbed to sixth place and moved within striking distance of the top five.

The race for qualification to the 2026 Hulencourt Alps Tour Grand Final and promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour will resume from Thursday, June 11th, at Club de Golf Playa Serena in Roquetas de Mar, Spain, for the 2026 Alps de Andalucía – Roquetas de Mar.

Maxime Legros: “I’m very happy and, above all, very relieved. I won’t have to answer all those questions anymore about when the third win was going to come. Since the start of the tournament, I had played better on the back nine, so my goal was to get off to a strong start. I managed to build an advantage quite quickly, but I let Enrico back into it with a couple of three-putts. Thankfully, I was able to extend my lead again on the back nine.

By the 16th hole, I was five shots ahead and started imagining every possible disaster scenario. But after making birdie on 17, I was finally able to fully enjoy the walk up the 18th.

The injury I suffered last year has actually helped me become much calmer on the golf course. I’ve also improved a lot with my putting, which gives me much more confidence in my game.

I’ll be able to start my HotelPlanner Tour journey with the French swing, which is great because it’s close to home. I want to use these next six months to adapt to a new tour, new courses and new opponents.”

Enrico Di Nitto edges Maxime Legros ahead of final round in Metz

France, June 6th, 2026 – After a controlled second-round performance, Italy’s Enrico Di Nitto moved into the lead at the 23rd Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or.

Starting on the 10th tee, the three-time Alps Tour winner got off to a flying start with three birdies in his opening holes. He added two more birdies and a lone bogey on his way to a 66 (-4), taking a narrow advantage into the final round.

Di Nitto will begin Sunday with a one-shot lead over France’s Maxime Legros. The Dinard-based player carded a solid 65 (-5) featuring six birdies and one bogey. Already a two-time winner this season, Legros could join Andrea Romano on the HotelPlanner Tour with a victory this week.

Italy’s Davide Buchi, in third place and three shots behind the leader, remains firmly in contention. France’s Alexandre Vandermoten and Théo Brizard, Ireland’s Robert Moran, and Italy’s Filippo Bergamaschi share fourth place.

For tomorrow’s final round, play will begin at 9:15 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th tees. At the conclusion of the third round, the winner will receive €7,090 and 6,525 Order of Merit points. In the event of a tie, a playoff will determine the champion.

Enrico Di Nitto: “I played very well from the tee. I only missed two fairways, but I managed both situations well and saved par. My chipping and putting have been really good over the last two days. Something has changed in my game this week. I have more confidence thanks to the work I’ve been doing recently, and that has helped me stay calm and focused. It has made a big difference during these first two rounds.”

Maxime Legros: “One shot is working particularly well for me this week: a low tee-ball that flies low and rolls a lot. It’s very useful on this course with the thick rough because it helps me stay in position while still getting distance. I’ve executed it almost all week and it allows me to hit shorter clubs into the greens than most of the field.

Of course, what Andrea Romano achieved is inspiring and it makes you want to follow the same path. We’re all human, so you naturally think a little about the future, but I’m really trying to stay in the present as much as possible.”

Spain’s Alejandro Rodriguez Andreu triumphs in dramatic finish at the 34th Gösser Open

Austria, May 16th, 2026 – The final round of the 34th Gösser Open delivered plenty of drama at Golf Club Erzherzog Johann, where Spain’s Alejandro Rodriguez Andreu emerged victorious after a thrilling battle to claim his first Alps Tour title.

Competing this week on an invitation from the Andorran Golf Federation, Rodriguez Andreu finished at -15 after an excellent closing 66 (-6), capped by a superb five-metre birdie putt on the 18th to secure the win.

France’s Augustin Holé mounted a strong charge with a brilliant 66 (-6) of his own, highlighted by an eagle on the opening hole, but ultimately finished one shot short. Italy’s Filippo Grossi and Andrea Romano also shared second place at -14.

Frenchmen Maxime Legros and Hermès Ferchaud shared fifth place, two strokes behind the winner. Overnight leader and Austrian amateur Jakob Lotschak eventually finished in seventh place.

With this victory, Rodriguez Andreu earns €7,200 and 6,525 Order of Merit points. Andrea Romano returns to the top of the Order of Merit standings, overtaking Maxime Legros, while Augustin Holé climbs to sixth place thanks to his third podium finish of the season.

The players will return to action on Thursday, May 21st, in France for the 2026 Lacanau Alps Open.

Alejandro Rodriguez Andreu: “I knew I had to go low today. Funny enough, before the round I told Maxi, my caddie, that we probably needed to get to 15-under, and it ended up being the right number. I just tried to stay patient, stay aggressive when needed, and avoid silly mistakes. Winning like this feels amazing.

This victory means so much to me, personally and professionally. Two months ago, I was actually thinking about quitting golf. I talked about it with my family, my parents and friends. To come here on an invitation and end up winning is incredibly special.

I only asked about the leaderboard on the 13th tee and found out I was two behind. After birdies on 13 and 14, I decided not to know anything else until later. Walking down the 18th fairway, Maxi told me that a birdie would give me the lead. I hit it to 20 feet and managed to hole the putt. That was pretty fun.

This win changes my plans completely. I was only planning to play the Alps Tour events in Spain and Andorra, but now I’ll probably play the full season. Having a schedule and knowing I’m in the tournaments gives me a real purpose moving forward.”

Augustin Holé: “I definitely gave myself a chance. I got off to a perfect start with an eagle on the first and kept pushing from there. From around holes 5 to 13 I had a really good stretch — something like six under par. So overall it was a really great day and a really great tournament. My only regret is the finish of the first round on 17 and 18. Other than that, I don’t have much to blame myself for. Even today’s bogeys came from poor golf shots, and that happens. It confirms that I’ve had a very good start to the season.

Now I’ll keep knocking on the door and wait for my moment to win. If I keep playing like this and continue preparing well, there’s no reason it won’t eventually go my way. I just need to stay patient.

A lot of things have contributed to my good start this season — a driver change has helped a lot, and some winter training in Terenife with Dubuisson thanks to my sponsor Gérald. Those little additions have made a difference and show that the work is paying off.”

Italy’s Davide Buchi storms into the lead at the Gösser Open

Austria, May 14th, 2026 – Morning starters enjoyed sunny and calm conditions at Golf Club Erzherzog Johann, while the afternoon wave faced rain throughout their round. Unsurprisingly, most of the early leaders came from the morning draw.

Among them, Italy’s Davide Buchi stole the show in the opening round of the Gösser Open. The 29-year-old matched the course record with an outstanding 62 (-10), highlighted by ten birdies.

Representing Golf Club Varese, Buchi already holds a commanding four-shot lead over a group of six players at -6, including Victor Veyret, Lars Keunen, amateur Jakob Lotschak, current Order of Merit leader Maxime Legros, Filippo Grossi, and Adrien Bonnet, the only player from the afternoon wave inside the top five.

For Round 2, play will begin at 7:30 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th tees. At the conclusion of the second round, a cut will be made to the top 40 professionals and ties, who will advance to the final round (including all amateurs within the cut).

Davide Buchi: “I played pretty solid from the tee and into the greens, and I managed to make some putts early in the round, which gave me confidence to keep going. When you’re a lot under par, you always want more, but you have to stay patient and trust your decisions and targets. That’s what I did today, and I’m pretty proud of it. Tomorrow, I’ll try to keep the same mindset and hopefully hole a few more putts.”

Victor Veyret: “It was a great day. Tee to green, it was probably one of my best rounds of the year so far. My putting wasn’t at its best, but I managed to hit the ball very close to the hole and made seven birdies. The conditions this morning were perfect — almost no wind and beautiful weather, so it was a real pleasure to play this course. Tomorrow, I’ll stick to my usual process, try to execute my plan and accept whatever comes. The tournament has been great so far — we really enjoy the organisation, the people at the clubhouse are very welcoming, and the food is good too.”

France’s Maxime Legros claims a second win at the Miglianico Alps Open

Italy, May 2nd, 2026 – France’s Maxime Legros claimed his second Alps Tour title in less than two weeks, following up his win at the Dreamland Open with another impressive performance at the Miglianico Alps Open.

After nearly 30 events to secure his maiden victory, Legros needed only a matter of days to double his tally. Starting the final round one shot behind the lead, the Frenchman delivered a strong 66 (-4) at Il Cerreto di Miglianico Golf.

Two decisive stretches of three consecutive birdies, from holes 7 to 9 and again from 13 to 15, proved to be the difference. He becomes the second multiple winner of the season after Italy’s Andrea Romano, who won twice earlier this year in Egypt.

Overnight leader Alessandro Nodari had to settle for a final-round 69 (-1), affected by a double bogey and two bogeys. The Italian shares second place with Austria’s Christoph Bleier and France’s Ewan Le Tennier.

Maxime Legros: “It was completely different from my win at Dreamland, where I had a big lead all day. This time, I was behind until the middle of the round — I was even four shots back after six holes. But I stuck to my game plan. With a two-shot lead towards the end, I managed to stay composed and bring the title home.

Now the goal is to be in the top 6 after the Biarritz Cup to avoid PQ1, and then finish in the top 5 overall. With two wins, of course you want to go for a third one, but we know how quickly things can change in golf. You have to take advantage when you’re playing well, and I’m happy I’m doing that right now. A big thank you to my coaches, my sponsors, my family and my girlfriend.”

Ewan Le Tennier: “What was missing this week was definitely my chipping. I gave myself plenty of chances to make birdies — I made eight today — so there was room to go lower. But my chipping wasn’t sharp enough, and every small mistake ended up costing me a bogey, which made it difficult to post a really low score.

That said, I’m very happy with my start to the season. It’s another podium finish after Dreamland, and I played a very good final round today — bogey-free with four birdies. I’ve made eight cuts in eight events, so for my first season, I’m really pleased with how things are going.”

Christoph Bleier: “It’s been a bit tough over the last two days. I wasn’t really hitting it well and had to scramble a lot. The wind made it pretty tricky to score low, so it was really impressive to see Max finish the way he did, especially with those birdies on 13, 14 and 15. Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep up with him this week because, as I said, I wasn’t striking it great.

Overall, I’m really happy with three top-ten finishes. I’m playing good golf at the moment and looking forward to keeping that going, hopefully giving myself a chance later in the season to move up to the HotelPlanner Tour. For now, I’ll take it one tournament at a time. I’m heading to play on the HotelPlanner Tour next week in Italy at Golf Nazionale, then I’ll be back for the Gösser Open.”

Italy’s Alessandro Nodari in strong position at the Miglianico Alps Open

Italy, May 1st, 2026 – Italy’s Alessandro Nodari will have the opportunity to claim his first professional title on home soil after taking the lead following the second round of the Miglianico Alps Open.

The 25-year-old carded a second consecutive 66 (-4) to move into the top spot, delivering a solid performance that included one eagle, four birdies and two bogeys in challenging windy conditions.

Alessandro Nodari: “It was a solid day. I knew the scoring wouldn’t be very low because of the conditions, the wind was very strong. I just tried to hit the ball straight like yesterday and felt comfortable off the tee. I missed a couple of short putts early on, but I stayed patient and kept going. The wind got even stronger later, so hitting fairways became key. I missed a few greens but chipped very well to save par. On hole 8, I drove the green and made eagle for the second time, and finishing with a birdie on my last hole was good. France’s Maxime Legros claims maiden Alps Tour title at the Dreamland Open

Egypt, April 21st, 2026 – France’s Maxime Legros held his nerve in windy conditions to secure his first Alps Tour victory at the Dreamland Open, leading the tournament from start to finish.

The 24-year-old, representing Dinard Golf Club, closed with a final round of 71 (-1), featuring four birdies and three bogeys, enough to seal a well-deserved win after three days in control. The victory also marks a strong comeback for Legros, who was forced to end his 2025 season early due to a back injury.

Spain’s Pablo Alperi once again finished runner-up, just two shots behind after a final round of 68 (-4). It is his second consecutive second-place finish, confirming his excellent form.

France’s Alexis Leray, who started the day in second place, carded a 74 (+2) to finish tied for third alongside seven other players, including Order of Merit leader Andrea Romano, who further strengthens his position at the top of the rankings.

Maxime Legros : “Honestly, I didn’t feel much stress before the round. I started really well with two birdies on two easier holes, but then my driver let me down and I was missing a lot of fairways to the right. I had to scramble a lot and faced some very long putts, so I did quite well to limit the damage to three bogeys over nine holes. Then I managed to regain control, hit more fairways, and the birdies on the back nine really helped. I’m very happy, especially after last year when I had to undergo back surgery. I went through some tough moments and doubts about whether I would come back at the same level. In a way, going through that makes me less stressed on the course, because I know there are worse things than missing a shot or losing a tournament.”

Pablo Alperi : “I’m very happy with the way we’re working and doing things. We’ve been close to winning two weeks in a row, which shows we’re on the right track. The feelings are good, and we just need to keep working like this and wait for our moment. I’m already looking forward to next week — if we keep doing the right things, something good will come soon.”

Despite an early bogey on his second hole, the current ninth in the Order of Merit produced another solid performance, carding a 66 (-6) highlighted by seven birdies.

France’s Maxime Legros takes the early lead at Dreamland

Egypt, April 19th, 2026 – France’s Maxime Legros set the pace in the opening round of the Dreamland Open with an outstanding performance at Dreamland Golf Course. Playing in the morning wave, the Dinard native carded a superb bogey-free 65 (-7), highlighted by seven birdies to take the early lead.

In sunny yet windy conditions, Spain’s Josep Maria Serra Busquet came close with a 66 (-6), his round slightly blemished by a bogey on the 12th. Round 1 of the 2025 Gösser Open Ends with a Five-Way Tie for the Lead.

Maria Lankowitz, May 15^th2025- After the first round of the 2025 Gösser Open, we have a very tight leaderboard. Spain’s Javier Calles Roman and Asier Aguirre Izcue, Italy’s Gianmaria Rean Trinchero, France’s Theo Brizard and Maxime Legros are in a 5-way tie for the lead at 7 under-par, 65. There is a 9-way tie for 6^th place at 6 under-par.

The first round of the 33^rd edition of the Gösser Open teed off this morning at its traditional venue, Golf Club Erzherzog Johann in Maria Lankowitz, Austria. Players encountered a variety of weather conditions throughout the day. The morning featured overcast skies, light to no winds, and mild temperatures, while the afternoon brought stronger, swirling gusts and a noticeable drop in temperature.

The Gösser Open is one of the most important tournaments of the Alps Tour season and holds the distinction of being the oldest tournament on the Alps Tour schedule. This year, we are celebrating the 33^rd edition of the tournament.

The event first began in 1993 at Steiermärkischer Golf Club Murhof, before moving to Golf Club Erzherzog Johann in 2000, where it has remained as the permanent host venue. Following the founding of the Alps Tour in 2001, the Gösser Open became part of the Tour schedule and has been a key event ever since. It is also widely regarded as the most traditional professional golf tournament in Austria.

Round 1 Player Quotes

Javier Calles Roman, 23, from Spain, who turned professional in May 2024, co-leads after the 1^st round of the 2025 Gösser Open with a bogey-free round of 7 under-par, 65. He opened his round with a birdie on Hole 10 and continued his strong play with additional birdies on Holes 13, 14, and 15, before adding three more on Holes 1, 4, and 9 to close out the day. He said: “Today, went really well. I strongly believe that my course management was the key for my first-round score. I played really smart throughout the entire day and holed some important putts. The course conditions were perfect for scoring throughout this morning; we had little wind but with some difficulty pin positions. Obviously, conditions could change in the afternoon we this morning we could take advantage.” He strongly believes that he had a huge improvement in his putting from last week to this week and he was very thankful to see the work he put in pay off.

Italy’s Gianmaria Rean Trinchero, 29, finds himself alongside Calles Roman in the 5-way tie for lead with an opening round of 7 under-par, 65. In today’s opening round, he started on Hole 10 and quickly found his rhythm, carding four birdies on Holes 10,12,13 and 16. After making the turn, he added four more birdies on Holes 1, 2, 3, and 7. His only mistake of the day came on his final hole, the par-5 9^th hole, where he made a bogey. Rean Trinchero is a two-time winner on the Alps Tour, with victories in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. “My game was solid all around today. The only mistake came on my final hole, the 9th, where I hit a ball out of bounds and ended up with a bogey. It didn’t really bother me because I was committed to the shot—I just hit an errant one that cost me a stroke. I found a good sensation during my warm-up, which carried through the entire round. Every part of my game felt strong, from my driver to my sand wedge,” said Rean Trinchero after his opening round at the Gösser Open. “The course is much drier this week, than we’re used to, so I think we’ll see some lower scores. You can hit more irons off the tee, and at GC Erzherzog Johann, it’s really important to have your wedges dialed in and that’s something I’ll be focusing on over the next two rounds.”

Joining Calles Roman and Rean Trinchero in the five-way tie for the lead at 7-under-par, 65 is France’s Theo Brizard, 24. A regular on the Alps Tour over various seasons, Brizard is seeking his first title. He began his opening round on Hole 10, where he made four birdies on the back nine. After making the turn, he added four more birdies on the front nine, with his only bogey on the par 4, 6^th hole. Brizard said: “it was a solid first round. I made sure to position myself well on the tougher holes and take advantage of the easier ones. Most importantly though, I was able to maintain a good playing rhythm throughout all 18 holes today. The course is in fabulous conditions, the fairways are firm, and the greens are receptive but not overly soft. Let’s say everything was just right! Let’s say the conditions were favorable for a good score but not easy. Today’s round confirmed that the gameplan I selected was good and it left me eager to get back out there.”

Asier Aguirre Izcue, 25, of Spain, the winner of last week’s Alps Tour event in Italy, shares the lead in the five-way tie after Round 1. Aguirre claimed his first Alps Tour title just a few days ago and has a strong history at GC Erzherzog Johann, having narrowly missed out on victory in a sudden-death playoff during the 2024 edition of the Gösser Open. “My game today was very similar to last week, especially my shots into the green. They were very good. I made some important putts today, the greens here aren’t easy are they are very grainy. The highlight of the round was on the par 4, 12^th hole where I holed out from 70 meters. In the afternoon, the conditions worsen quite a bit compared to this morning as we had a lot of wind gusts and the temperature dropped, which made it more difficult. However, I stayed focus on my game, and it was a great day despite the tougher conditions. For sure the win last week gave me extra confidence and now I will try to continue the same way the rest of the tournament” explained Aguirre Izcue after his opening round.

France’s Maxime Legros, 23, is the final player in the share of the lead after the opening round with a score of 7 under-par, 65. He made 3 birdies and 2 bogeys on his opening front-nine while once he made the turn, he made three birdies in a row from Hole 10 to 12, then eagled the 13^th hole and added one more birdie on hole 16 to end his round. “I didn’t hit the ball as good as I could have from the tees, but I kept it in play and gave myself many birdies opportunities. The course is in great shape this week, greens are great which is why I was able to make so many birdies. There are a lot of birdie opportunities on this course if you can place the ball in the correct spots from the tees,” said Legros. “I feel like we didn’t get the best tee time wave as playing in the afternoon today with the wind gusting and some rain didn’t help but I had the right mindset and kept focused on my game instead of external factors.”

The competitors this week, are battling it out for an overall prize fund of €42,500 and 45,000 Order of Merit points. The winner of the 33^rd edition of the Gösser Open will earn, €6,200 and 6,525 points. Once Round 2 is completed, a cut will be to the top 40 professionals and ties, plus amateurs within the cutline.
