France’s Grégoire Hoyeau sets the pace with stunning opening 61 (-10) at Golf Lerma
Burgos, July 9th, 2026 – Just as it was during the Alps Tour‘s previous visit to Golf Lerma in 2024, low scoring was the order of the day. A remarkable 107 players bettered the par-72 layout during the opening round of the 2026 Alps de Las Castillas.
Amateur Grégoire Hoyeau, playing in just his third Alps Tour event, produced the standout performance of the day. Despite making a bogey on his final hole, the Frenchman carded a superb 61 (-11) to take the first-round lead.
Several players came close, but none could match Hoyeau’s score. Italy’s Flavio Michetti, France’s Alexandre Vandermoten, and Spain’s Mario Galiano Aguilar share second place after posting excellent 62 (-10) rounds.
Round 2 will begin at 8:30 a.m. local time from the 1st tee at Golf Lerma. At the conclusion of the second round, a cut will be made to the top 40 professionals and ties (including all amateurs within the cut), who will advance to the final round.

Grégoire Hoyeau: “This morning I wasn’t even feeling that good. I had a bit of a stomach ache, but in the end I think it actually helped because I had fewer expectations and played more freely. Once I got going, I just focused on my technical keys, made sure I ate well and stayed present.
Everything worked today. Putting is usually one of my strengths, my iron play was really solid, and every time I had a chip on a par five, I left myself inside two metres. It was just a very complete round.
I’ve rarely been in this position before. It’s only my third Alps Tour event, so the goal now is to rest well tonight and tomorrow just stay in the present again. Shot after shot. Even if I feel nervous, that’s normal. I know my swing is working, and I know what I’m capable of.”
Alexandre Vandermoten: “I played solid golf all day. I just kept things simple and holed the putts. On the 17th I hit it inside a metre for eagle and made it. On 18, I was happy to take par because I wasn’t in a great position. I just did my job.
I really tried not to think too much about the future or the past. There were a few moments where my mind wandered, but overall I stayed focused on the present, and I’m really pleased with how I managed that.”
Flavio Michetti: “I played really, really solid. I hit every green in regulation, my driver was amazing and my irons were very good. I had six eagle chances, and every birdie I made was from inside one metre, so it was a really good day. I actually missed a few putts, so hopefully tomorrow will be even better. During the practice round I shot nine under on the back nine when the putter was working well, so I’m feeling really confident heading into the second round.”

Theo Boulet from France Surges into Lead at UGolf Aravell Andorra Open by Creand After Round Two
Aravell, June 26th, 2026 – Round 2 of the 2026 UGolf Aravell Andorra Open by Creand, continued today at UGolf Aravell Andorra, located just a few kilometres from the Principality of Andorra. Players continued to compete with mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures throughout the day. First played in 2022 to mark the 25th anniversary of the host venue, the UGolf Aravell Andorra Open by Creand has grown into a regular stop on the Alps Tour schedule and returned for the fifth edition this year.
After 36 holes, the leaderboard remains tightly packed, with a former champion here at UGolf Aravell Andorra Open, France’s Theo Boulet returning to familiar territory to take the outright lead heading into the final round with a two-day total of 8-under-par.
In a 4-way tie for second place at 7-under-par are France’s Alexandre Vandermoten, Italy’s Manfredi Manica, and Spain’s Victor Garcia Broto and Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela.
A total of 58 players (49 pros, 9 amateurs) made the cut which was set at 142 (par). The Final Round will begin at 7:50 a.m. local time from both the 1st and 10th tees. The final pairing will tee off at 9:40 a.m. local time from the 1st tee. In the event of a tie at the conclusion of the final round, the tournament winner will be decided by a sudden-death play-off.
A prize fund of €49,700 and a total of 45,000 Order of Merit points are up for grabs this week. The winner of the 2026 UGolf Aravell Andorra Open by Creand will receive €7,200 and 6,525 points in the Order of Merit standings.

France’s Theo Boulet, 23, a multiple-time Alps Tour winner, including the 2024 UGolf Aravell Andorra Open by Creand title, moved into the lead with a 5-under-par 66 in today’s second round for a two-day total of 8 under-par. Drawing on his previous success at here, Boulet credited smart course management and a disciplined game plan for his performance.
“Today was a really good day. I played well and made good decisions around the course. I didn’t make many mistakes, so I’m very happy with the way I played. I think the key on this course is to keep things simple and not try to force it. Playing to the right areas has worked really well for me over the last two days. The biggest difference today was my iron play and my wedge game. I gave myself plenty of good birdie opportunities, even though I didn’t hole as many putts as I would have liked. Tomorrow I’ll stick to the same game plan and stay patient, just as I have over the first two rounds. What has helped me the most is the confidence I have in my strategy. I know this course well and I really like it. Playing to the smart areas has been the key to my success so far.”
Alexandre Vandermoten, 25, of France, one of this season’s winners, produced another composed performance to remain firmly in contention heading into the final round. “Today was really good. I stayed very steady and kept focused on my own game. I stayed mentally strong and only made one mistake all day. I’m in a good position now, so my goal tomorrow is to stay even more focused and remain strong over the final 18 holes. I had a great group today and we had a lot of fun out there. Tomorrow I’ll try to be even more patient and see where that takes me.”
Italy’s Manfredi Manica, 30, credited his patience and solid ball-striking after another consistent performance that keeps him in contention heading into the final round. “I tried to stay as patient as possible today because I got off to a really good start, but I struggled to hole putts. I really only made two mistakes, which led to my two bogeys, but apart from that I played very well. Tomorrow I’ll try to do the same as I have over the first two days, and hopefully a few more putts will drop. I’m happy to be back playing at a good level, especially after what has been a bit of a difficult season.”
Spain’s Victor Garcia Broto, 29, was pleased with a steady performance that keeps him in a strong position heading into the final round. “Overall, I had a pretty consistent day. I started a little slowly and made a couple of mistakes early on, but after that I played solid golf. I holed a few good putts, stayed patient, and I’m happy with the way I finished the round. I’m looking forward to tomorrow and the position I’ve put myself in. I’ll try to enjoy it and keep doing the same things I did over these last two days.”
Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela, 29, from Spain, a multiple-time Alps Tour winner, kept himself in the title hunt and will head into the final round just one shot off the lead. “I played some really good golf today, but I feel like I left a couple of shots out there over the last few holes. I’m very pleased with the first two rounds, and I’ve been playing well over the past couple of weeks, so I’m happy to have a chance tomorrow. I’ll start one shot behind, which is not a bad position. I’ll stick to my game and we’ll see what happens.”

Aravell, June 25th, 2026 – A mostly sunny day welcomed the players for the opening round of the 2026 UGolf Aravell Andorra Open by Creand, taking place at the picturesque UGolf Aravell Andorra, located just a few kilometres from the Principality of Andorra. The greens here at UGolf Aravell Andorra are quite undulating and the grain has a significant effect, so it’s very important to leave your putts on the correct side. More than the score itself, what I’m most proud of is the way I stayed committed to every shot and managed to remain focused on the present. Looking ahead, my goal is to keep following my routine and maintaining that same level of commitment. I holed some good putts and made a couple of excellent up-and-downs today. If I can improve a little with the driver over the next few rounds, that could make a difference.”
Alexandre Vandermoten, 25, of France, one of this season’s winners, was pleased with his opening round, saying: “I think the key for me is to stay steady and stick to my routine on every hole. I try not to think too much about the score. What’s more important is the battle with myself to stay focused and remain in my own process. I finished well, which was really positive, and I did a good job of keeping my emotions under control and staying level throughout the round. A second win this season is somewhere in the back of my mind, but I’m focused on staying in process mode rather than thinking about results. My goal over the next few rounds is to keep doing that and, as much as possible, stay committed to my routine.”
Lars Keunen, 29, of the Netherlands, commented: “It’s always nice to get off to a good start. I played pretty solidly from tee to green, and my only bogey came from a three-putt on the 3rd hole. For the next two days, I want to stay patient and give myself as many birdie opportunities as possible.”
Italy’s Manfredi Manica, 30, said: “I got off to a really good start and tried to stay as patient as possible because there are a lot of scoring opportunities out there. That said, I’m not entirely pleased with how I played the par 5s today, as I didn’t manage to make a birdie on any of them. I think the key on this course is patience. The par 5s are the holes you need to take advantage of, while on the par 3s you have to be careful and avoid mistakes. Over the next two rounds, I’ll do my best to remain patient and keep putting the way I did today, apart from the 18th hole, where I had an eagle chance and ended up making par.”
Also in the share of the lead is Spanish amateur Pau Sanchez Marin, 22, who birdied his final hole of the day to join the group at the top.

Enrico Di Nitto edges Maxime Legros ahead of final round in Metz
France, June 6th, 2026 – After a controlled second-round performance, Italy’s Enrico Di Nitto moved into the lead at the 23rd Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or.
Starting on the 10th tee, the three-time Alps Tour winner got off to a flying start with three birdies in his opening holes. He added two more birdies and a lone bogey on his way to a 66 (-4), taking a narrow advantage into the final round.
Di Nitto will begin Sunday with a one-shot lead over France’s Maxime Legros. The Dinard-based player carded a solid 65 (-5) featuring six birdies and one bogey. Already a two-time winner this season, Legros could join Andrea Romano on the HotelPlanner Tour with a victory this week.
Italy’s Davide Buchi, in third place and three shots behind the leader, remains firmly in contention. France’s Alexandre Vandermoten and Théo Brizard, Ireland’s Robert Moran, and Italy’s Filippo Bergamaschi share fourth place.

Maxime Legros: “One shot is working particularly well for me this week: a low tee-ball that flies low and rolls a lot. France’s Alexandre Vandermoten claims dominant victory at the inaugural Villa Paradiso Alps Open
Italy, April 11th, 2026 – France’s Alexandre Vandermoten delivered a commanding performance from start to finish to win the inaugural Villa Paradiso Alps Open. Starting the final round with a two-shot lead, the Frenchman quickly extended his advantage with two birdies in his opening holes. Despite a setback with a double bogey on the 6th, the Toulouse Golf Club player showed great composure, bouncing back with two birdies on the back nine to secure his first professional victory.
Thanks to a final round of 70 (-2), the rookie finished three shots clear of fellow Qualifying School graduate Pablo Alperi and Ireland’s Robert Moran, who shared second place. For Moran, it marks a third runner-up finish in four events this season.
With this victory, Vandermoten earns €7,120 and 6,525 Order of Merit points. He now moves up to fourth place in the rankings, behind Andrea Romano (1st), Robert Moran (2nd), and Mario Galiano Aguilar (3rd).
The players will return to action on Sunday, April 19th in Cairo for the Dreamland Open.

France’s Alexandre Vandermoten extends his lead ahead of the final round
Players began to find their rhythm at Villa Paradiso Golf Club during the second round of the Villa Paradiso Alps Open. While only one player broke 68 (-4) on day one, eight players bettered that mark on Friday.
First-round leader Alexandre Vandermoten was among them, signing an excellent 65 (-7) highlighted by a spectacular albatross on the par-5 11th. After a strong front nine featuring five birdies, the 25-year-old holed a 4-wood from 231 metres to produce one of the standout moments of the week. He now heads into the final round with a two-shot advantage.
Spain’s Pablo Alperi went one better in the morning, setting a new course record with a flawless 64 (-8). Starting from the 10th tee, the rookie surged on the back nine, recording six birdies over his final seven holes to move into second place, two shots behind the leader.
Italy’s Flavio Michetti sits in third place, three strokes back, after also posting an impressive 65 (-7).

France’s Alexandre Vandermoten takes early lead at Villa Paradiso
Under sunny skies, Alps Tour players faced Villa Paradiso Golf Club for the first time, with the course presented in excellent condition. France’s Alexandre Vandermoten set the early pace in the morning wave, signing a flawless 67 (-5).
The 2025 Qualifying School graduate started his round on the 10th tee and finished strongly with back-to-back birdies on his final two holes. He leads by one shot over fellow Frenchman Damien Perrier, who returns to the Alps Tour this week, and Italy’s Luca Galliano. A group of nine players sits in fourth place at -3.

Sam Murphy Takes the Lead with a Bogey-Free 65
Egypt, February 18, 2026 – The leaderboard shifted significantly during the second round of the 2026 Ein Bay Open at Sokhna Golf Club. While the early starters enjoyed calm conditions, the wind strengthened around midday, making the course play significantly tougher.
Starting from the 11th tee in the morning wave, Ireland’s Sam Murphy, a graduate of the 2025 Q-School, made a sensational start with seven birdies in his opening eleven holes. He then played steady, controlled golf over the remaining holes, signing for an impressive bogey-free 65 (-7) to move into the outright lead.
Murphy holds a two-shot advantage over France’s Alexandre Vandermoten and fellow Irishman Robert Moran, who posted a strong 67 (-5) despite facing tougher conditions in the afternoon wave. Moran was one of the few players in the afternoon to record a score under par.
For tomorrow’s final round, play will begin at 8:00 a.m. from the 1st and 11th tees. At the conclusion of the third round, the winner will receive €6,200 and 6,525 Order of Merit points. In the event of a tie, a playoff will determine the champion.

Sam Murphy : I got off to a good start and knew the conditions would get tougher coming in, especially with the wind picking up over the last few holes. I tried to take advantage early and just play solid golf. I hit 18 greens and missed only a couple of fairways, so it was a really solid round. It never really felt like I was going to make a bogey. I struck the ball well, and even on the greens. I felt comfortable. It was a pretty stress-free round, which was nice. I’ll stick with the same game plan I’ve had all week. Hopefully the wind settles down tomorrow but it’ll be the same approach: play aggressive when I can and conservative when I have to.
