Brandon Kewalramani is back in the winner’s circle at the 2024 Alps de Andalucía.
This year we celebrated the 12th edition of the tournament. The Final Round of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía began at 8:00 a.m. local time from the 1st and 10th hole. The final pairing teed off at 9:28 a.m. local time from the 1st hole. The players competing at the beautiful Aguilón Golf, located in Pilar de Jaravia, Pulpi, Almería, were able to play with optimal scoring conditions.
Final Round Player Quotes
Brandon Kewalramani, 25, from the United States of America, wins his 2nd Alps Tour title of the season at the 2024 Alps de Andalucía. He moved into the lead after yesterday’s round 2, and today, he shot a 3 under-par, 67 to conclude the tournament with a three-day total of 12 under-par. In his final round, he made 3 birdies on the front nine and then 2 more birdies and 2 bogeys on the back nine. This is his 1st year competing on the Alps Tour, and he won back in May the 2024 Alps de Roquetas de Mar, which was disputed only about 145 km from this week’s venue. After capturing his second win, Kewalramani joked: “I guess I can say I performed well both weeks because of the beautiful weather, but no, honestly, I noticed a lot of similarities in the greens both this week and at the other venue. The greens very were grainy, but I found them to be rolling very true. I knew if I was confident and trusted my lines, I could make them. It was just a week where I felt very confident overall. All aspects of my game were very solid and with this win, it’s a great way to end the week.” He’s excited to keep competing in next week’s event: “I will definitely be in the field next week, and I’m excited to compete again here in Spain.” With today’s win, Kewalramani earned 2 titles this season, and if he were to win another event during the 2024 season, he would gain immediate playing status into the Challenge Tour, “To be honest, I always knew that if you earned 3 wins in the same season on the same tour, you would be promoted to the next tour. I never really thought about it, but now that I earned 2 wins, I’m sure it’ll be crossing my mind, but I will try not to have that affect my game. I’m a player who really tries to stay in my own world out there, my own little bubble, and today, for example, I didn’t know exactly where I stood on the 18th tee. I knew I was close but didn’t know if I had a few strokes lead, if I was tied for the lead, or if I was behind. I will try to keep playing my own game, stay in my own world, and add it up at the end.” Kewalramani was able to share this win with: “My girlfriend was where with me this week and I’m very happy to share this win with her. In my previous win, my mom was there, so I was able to share it with her. However, I want to however dedicate this win to my dad. He’s my best friend and is always there, sharing advice and knowledge with me through the good and bad times. Unfortunately, he’s not able to travel with me to events due to work, but I must say that I thought about him during today’s round, and I knew he was following me online.” He added that he learned a valuable lesson to take away from this week, “If I trust myself and let myself play, my best golf will come out.”
Robert Moran, 24, from Ireland shot a final round of 6 under-par, 64 to conclude the tournament in 2nd place only 1 stroke from the winning score with a three-day total of 11 under-par. He made 5 birdies and 1 bogey on the opening front nine and then made 3 more bridies and 1 bogey to close out his round.
After the 2024 Alps de Andalucía, the Alps Tour Order of Merit sees France’s Benjamin Kedochim remaining in the lead with 20,196.75 points. This week’s winner, Brandon Kewalramani from the United States, moves into 2nd place with 17,426.81 points. Another two-time winner this season, Théo Boulet from France, is now in 3rd place with 15,531.75 points.

Two players are tied for the lead after Round 2 at the 2024 Alps de Andalucía.
Pilar de Jaravia, July 4th, 2024- After two rounds of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía, Brandon Kewalramani from the United States and Flavio Michetti from Italy are leading with a two-day total of 9 under-par. In a two-way tie for 3rd place at 6 under-par: Spain’s Manuel Morugan and Adam Brady from Australia. There is a three-way tie for 5th place at 5 under-par with: Robert Moran from Ireland, France’s Nicolas Muller, and Spain’s Ruben Lafuente Montesa.
It was another beautiful day at Aguilón Golf, located in Pilar de Jaravia, Pulpi, Almería, Spain, for the 2nd round of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía. Play began at 8:00 a.m. local time from the 1st and 10th hole allowing the players to take advantage of perfect weather and scoring conditions. This year, we are celebrating the 12th edition of the tournament.
Round 2 Review
The winner of the 2024 Alps de Roquetas de Mar, from the United States, Brandon Kewalramani, 25, moves into a tie for the lead alongside the tournament’s first-round leader, Flavio Michetti from Italy. This is his 1st year competing on the Alps Tour, and he is looking to continue his solid performance. Kewalramani followed his opening round of 3 under-par, 67 with a 6 under-par, 64 in today’s second round for a two-day total of 9 under-par. In today’s round 2, he made 5 birdies and 1 bogey on the front nine holes and then added 1 eagle, 1 birdie, and 1 bogey on the back nine. After his fabulous 6 under-par round, Kewalramani commented: “Today was obviously great, the wind had died down this morning so I was able to hit a few shots closer but to be honest my scoring didn’t come until the back nine holes. I find the greens to be rolling really pure, so I knew if I could give myself chances, I could make them. I chipped in on hole 16, which was my 7th hole of the day, which was a huge positive momentum swing. After that, I gave myself chances, and the putts started to drop.” Kewalramani won the 2024 Alps de Roquetas de Mar only about 145 km from this week’s venue, “It’s beautiful around here, the weather is awesome, the food is great, and I really enjoy it here. That puts me in a good mood to compete. Aguilón Golf is cool, the design is very interesting. I’m glad we were able to play here, I was told it’s the first time that the Alps Tour comes here, but it’s a great course. It’s a fun and interesting course. I really want to thank the course and superintendents for allowing us to compete on a golf course in such great shape.” Having a chance to earn his 2nd title tomorrow, he wants to: “stay in my own world out there. I want to keep my head down, one shot at a time, and add it up at the end. Once I do that, I’ll see where that puts me.”
Flavio Michetti, 20, from Italy, remains in the lead alongside Kewalramani after the conclusion of round 2 at the 2024 Alps de Andalucía with a two-day total of 9 under par. Today, he shot a 3 under-par, 67, making 4 birdies and 1 bogey. Michetti has been performing well since the beginning of the season and is looking to earn his first Alps Tour title. Last week, Michetti had the opportunity to compete in the Italian Open, and he treasures the learning opportunity he had. After he concluded his round 2, Michetti commented: “Today I had a good start, but, on my front nine, I wasn’t able to convert any birdie putts. Also, on hole 9, I made a three-putt from about 4 meters, so it was slightly frustrating. Once I began the back-nine, I missed some short birdie putts, however towards the end of the back-nine I hit some really good approach shots and that allowed me to end my round with a 3 under-par score. Overall, it was a day that my putter let me down a bit.” He added that he found Aguilón Golf to be “in very good conditions again, we began the day with barely any wind, and as the round went on, the wind picked up.” Looking ahead to tomorrow’s final round, Michetti“doesn’t have any expectations, I don’t want to get ahead of myself. I will think about a shot at a time and see what will happen after the round if it’ll be enough.”
In a 2-way tie for 3rd place after two rounds at the 2024 Alps de Andalucía, a past winner on the Alps Tour, Spain’s Manuel Morugan,33. He followed his even par, 70 opening round with a 6 under-par, 64 in today’s round 2 for a two-day total of 6 under-par. In his second round, he made 1 eagle, 6 birdies, and 2 bogeys. Morugan knew it was: “a matter of time that before I had a decent round together, it’s been a bad year so far for me but doing this well today, I think I’ve put the bad times behind me. Today I played very solid from tee to green with no mistakes. The course is one of the best that we are playing on the Alps Tour. It is in perfect conditions; the greens are difficult because of the type of grass, but that is also a challenge that we must learn.”
Alongside Morugan in the 2-way tie for 3rd place with a two-day total of 6 under-par, Adam Brady from Australia. He shot a 1 under-par, 69 in the opening round, and today, he shot a 5 under-par, 65 with 1 eagle, 5 birdies, and 2 bogeys.
During today’s round 2, Spain’s Mario Galiano Aguilar shot an incredible 7 under-par, 63 which is now the new course record at Aguilón Golf.
Final Round
A total of 49 players made the cut which was set at 141 (+1).
The Final Round of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía will begin at 8:00 a.m. local time from the 1st and 10th hole. The Final Pairing will tee off at 9:28 a.m. local time from the 1st hole. In case of a tie after 54 holes, a sudden-death play-off will determine the winner.
The 2024 Alps de Andalucía Winner will walk away with €5,800.00 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.

Italy’s Flavio Michetti leads after Round 1 at the 2024 Alps de Andalucía.
A beautiful summer day welcomed the players at Aguilón Golf, located in Pilar de Jaravia, Pulpi, Almería, Spain for the first round of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía. This is the 12th edition of the event which is one of the most emblematic tournaments of our schedule. The first round began at 8:00 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th holes.
Round 1 Review
Italy’s Flavio Michetti, 20, shot a 6 under-par, 64 in the first round of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía to find himself in the lead by 1 stroke. In today’s opening round, he made a total of 1 eagle, 6 birdies and 2 bogeys. Once he ended his first round, Michetti explained how today, “I played well today from the beginning, I must say, even if I missed a short but on my 2nd hole of the day and made a bogey on the 4th hole. From the 5th hole onwards, I did a little reset and I managed to make a lot of birdies. I was -3 after 9 holes. On the back nine, I kept the same momentum going and was able to end my day at -6. It’s a shame that on hole 6, my ball ended up right next to a palm tree, and I made a bogey. Today was a positive day, my putting was exceptional. I made nearly every putt under 3 meters after missing that putt on hole 2.” Last week, Michetti competed in the Italian Open and he: “Learned a lot, having the opportunity to play a DP World Tour event is always special. I competed last week during the Italian Open, and I must say my long game improved a lot, but last week was truly a wonderful experience, and I definitely learned a lot.”
Ruben Lafuente Montesa, 23, from Spain shot a 5-under-par, 65 in the 1st round of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía to be in a 2-way tie for 2nd place alongside France’s Maxime Legros. During today’s round, he teed off on hole 10 where he went on to make 5 birdies, once he made the turn to the front-nine holes, his back-nine, he made 2 more birdies and 2 bogeys. Lafuente Montesa’s best finish so far this season comes from last week’s event, the 2024 Aravell Golf Andorra Open by Creand, where he concluded the event tied for 5th place with a three-day score of 10 under par. After his round 2, Lafuente Montesa talked about how: “I played well on the front 9, I was able to take advantage especially of the par 3s and 4s. My tee shots were very good today, I made very few mistakes. Overall, It was a good round where I had everything pretty much under control.” Lafuente Montesa added that he: “turned professional only a month ago and it’s going well, I ended up 5th in Andorra last week and it’s a great start. I was able to receive these invitations from winning on the Faldo Tour and I’m very proud of it.” He found Aguilón Golf to be in: “great conditions, though I thought it wouldn’t fit my game, apparently, I was wrong as it has. There are holes where you must put the ball in the right position and others where you can risk, and it has worked out well for me today.”
France’s Maxime Legros, 22, is in the 2-way tie for 2nd place alongside Lafuente Montesa after the first round of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía. He shot an opening round with 1 eagle, 5 birdies, and 1 double bogey for a 5 under-par, 65. After his round Legros commented: “I’m happy with the way I’ve played today. I started with a double bogey on my first hole so I’m even happier with the way I’ve bounced back from it! Also, the course is great this week! It might be the best course we’ve played this year so far, I believe. It’s in great shape and will reward good shots!” Legros also explained how he strongly believes that: “finding fairways will set you up for birdie opportunities this week. The greens are very grainy as well, so we must be aware of it when reading putts.”
Spanish amateur, Albert Boneta, 22, concluded his first round of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía with a 4 under-par, 66 and finds himself in a 2-way tie for 4th place. He made 3 birdies on the front nine holes, and then once he made the turn, he made 3 more birdies and 2 bogeys to conclude his day. He recently graduated in Finance and Psychology at New Mexico University and plans to turn professional later this year. After his round, he happily commented: “I played really solid today, I reached many greens and played very well overall. I had chances in almost every hole today, and I took advantage of the par 5s. I also played well on the par 3s too. It was a good day overall, and I look forward to the next two rounds.”
Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela, 27, from Spain, is also in the 2-way tie for 4th place alongside Boneta after the opening round of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía with a first-round score of 4 under-par, 66. In today’s opening round, he made 5 birdies and 1 bogey. Hernandez Cabezuela has earned various good finishes over the years but is looking to break through and earn his 1st win on the Alps Tour. After his round, Hernandez Cabezuela commented that he’s: “very happy, I am playing well lately but for some reason, never on the first round. Let’s see if starting so well could turn out in this being my week. I have good feelings on the course, it has positively surprised me.”
The highlight of the day belongs to Italy’s Elia Dallanegra, who made a fabulous hole-in-one on the Par 3, hole 12 from 133 meters.
The players in the field are competing for an overall prize fund of €40,000 and 45,000 Order of Merit points. The 2024 Alps de Andalucía Winner will walk away with €5,800.00 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.
The 2024 Alps de Andalucía will be a 54-hole stroke-play, an 18-hole-a-day event where a cut will be made after 36 holes to the top 40 players and ties. In case of a tie after 54 holes, a sudden-death play-off will determine the winner of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía.

The Alps Tour heads to the South of Spain for the 11th event of the season.
Pilar de Jaravia, July 2nd 2024- The Alps Tour heads back to the south of Spain, for the 11th tournament of the 2024 season, the 12th edition of the Alps de Andalucía. It is one of the most emblematic events on our schedule. The tournament will be held from Wednesday, July 3rd, until Friday, July 5th, at Aguilón Golf, located in Pilar de Jaravia, Pulpi, Almería.
On July 2nd, with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. local time, the official Tour Scramble, with the best two balls pro-am, will take place. Twenty-two teams will participate.
A couple of past winners of this event have now become DP World Tour players. This includes Ireland’s Gary Hurley, who won the 2022 edition. The most recent winner of the tournament, which was disputed at Isla Canela in 2023, was Spain’s own Jose Manuel Pardo Benitez.
The Field
A strong field is expected this week for the 2024 Alps de Andalucía.
This season’s winner: France’s Aymeric Laussot, Italy’s Edoardo R Lipparelli, Gianmaria Rean Trinchero, Mattia Comotti, Brandon Kewalramani from the United States of America, and the most recent, a back-to-back winner this season Théo Boulet from France will be in the field competing this week to try and earn the 12th edition of the 2024 Alps de Andalucía.
Current Order of Merit leader France’s Benjamin Kedochim, who has yet to win this season, has earned 6 top 10s, including a 2nd place finish at last week’s 2024 Aravell Golf Andorra Open by Creand. This week he will be looking for his first win as well as trying to consolidate his position as the Order of Merit leader.
Among the players scheduled to compete, Jacopo Vecchi Fossa, will also be present. He captured multiple wins on the Alps Tour over the years, as well as earning the 2021 Alps Tour Order of Merit title, which allowed him to gain status on the Challenge Tour
Among the 144 in the field this week, there are 16 different nationalities represented.
The 144 players in the field will compete for an overall prize fund of €40,000 and 45,000 Order of Merit points. The 2024 Alps de Andalucía winner will walk away with €5,800.00 and 6,525 Order of Merit points.
The players are eagerly competing to earn a spot in the top 5 of the Order of Merit rank, which, at the end of the season, will give them access to the 2025 Challenge Tour.
The 2024 Alps de Andalucía will be a 54-hole stroke-play event where a cut will be made after 36 holes to the top 40 players and ties. In case of a tie after 54 holes, a sudden-death play-off will determine the winner.

A new venue for the 2024 Alps de Andalucía.
Due to some unexpected circumstances, in agreement with the tournament promoter JGolf18 and the Real Federación Española de Golf, we have decided to move the venue for this year’s 2024 Alps de Andalucía.
Unfortunately, the Valle del Este golf course is not playable at the present time due to some improvements they began this winter, which weren’t completed in time due to unexpected weather conditions this spring. Valle del Este is making a great effort to be ready to host professional and major tournaments in the near future.
The 2024 Alps de Andalucía will now be disputed from Wednesday, July 3rd, until Friday, July 5th, at Aguilón Golf, located in Pilar de Jaravia, Pulpi, Almería. Aguilón Golf is about 39 km north of Valle del Este. The Pro-Am will take place on July 2nd.
