Biarritz Cup by ARKEA brings together top amateurs and Alps Tour professionals
Biarritz, July 22nd, 2026 – For the second consecutive year, the Alps Tour heads to Golf de Biarritz Le Phare for the prestigious Biarritz Cup by ARKEA, one of the oldest and most historic tournaments in European golf. The special event, the 16th tournament of the 2026 Alps Tour season, will take place from July 24–26 and will once again bring together leading amateur players and Alps Tour professionals from across Europe and beyond.
First played in 1899, the Biarritz Cup boasts an outstanding list of past champions, including José María Olazábal (1983), Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño (2001), Mike Lorenzo-Vera (2003), Álvaro Quirós (2004), Jorge Campillo (2007) and Alejandro Del Rey (2014).
The tournament will be played over 54 holes of stroke play, with a cut after 36 holes to the leading 30 professionals and ties, including any amateurs within the cut. In the event of a tie after 54 holes, the title will be decided by a sudden-death playoff.
A minimum prize fund of €50,000 will be on offer, along with 45,000 Order of Merit points, including €8,000 and 6,525 points awarded to the winner.
Adding to the week’s festivities, the ARKEA Pro-Am, will take place on Thursday, July 23rd, with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. local time, featuring 25 teams.
The Field
This year’s Biarritz Cup by ARKEA will feature a 120-player field, made up of 60 top amateurs and 60 Alps Tour professionals. In a separate event, 36 elite amateur women will also compete throughout the week.
Defending champion Victor Dubuisson returns to Biarritz after making a memorable comeback to professional golf with his playoff victory here last year. Runner-up Jorge Maicas is also back and knows the course better than most, sharing the course record of 59 (-10).
Fresh off his maiden Alps Tour victory at the Alps de Las Castillas, Italy’s Flavio Michetti arrives in excellent form. Meanwhile, Alexandre Vandermoten, currently third in the Order of Merit, could clinch promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour with a third victory of the season
The Course
Nestled on France’s Basque Coast, Golf de Biarritz Le Phare is one of continental Europe’s oldest and most prestigious golf courses. Founded in 1888 and designed by renowned architect Willie Dunn, it combines history, elegance and championship-calibre golf.
Though not long by modern standards, Le Phare rewards precision, strategy and a sharp short game. Golf Lerma welcomes the 15th event of the season with the 2026 Alps de Las Castillas
Burgos, July 7th, 2026 – The Alps Tour heads to northern Spain this week for the 2026 Alps de Las Castillas, the 15th event of the season, which will be played from July 9th to 11th at Golf Lerma, located around 30 minutes south of Burgos.
This will mark the fourth Alps Tour visit to the venue. After hosting the Peugeot Tour de Lerma in 2011, Golf Lerma welcomed the Alps de Las Castillas in both 2016 and 2024, and now returns once again to the schedule.
A minimum prize fund of €53,000 will be on offer, along with 45,000 Order of Merit points, including €7,900 and 6,525 points awarded to the winner.
The tournament will be contested over 54 holes of stroke play, with a cut after 36 holes to the leading 40 professionals and ties, including any amateurs within the cut. In the event of a tie after 54 holes, the title will be decided by a sudden-death playoff.
The Field
Although Andrea Romano and Maxime Legros have already secured promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour thanks to their third victories of the season, the battle for the remaining promotion places is still wide open.
Fresh off his victory at the Fred. Olsen Alps de La Gomera, Dutchman Lars Keunen arrives in Lerma full of confidence after climbing to seventh place in the Order of Merit.
Ahead of him, Alexandre Vandermoten (3rd), Robert Moran (4th), Pablo Alperi (5th) and Enrico Di Nitto (6th) will all be looking to strengthen their positions as the race towards the 2026 Hulencourt Alps Tour Grand Final intensifies.
A total of 144 players, including nine amateurs, will tee it up this week. The field features competitors from 13 different nations: Argentina, Austria, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Jersey, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and Wales.
As expected, Spain will have the largest representation with 64 players, including 47 National Field invitations.
The Course
Built in 1992 on the former 220-hectare hunting estate of La Andaya, Golf Lerma is an 18-hole course designed by renowned Spanish architect José “Pepe” Gancedo. Perfectly integrated into the Castilian landscape, the course blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings, inspiring Gancedo to famously remark: “The course was already there; God made it.”
Surrounded by holm oaks, junipers and oak trees, Golf Lerma offers wide-open views while making excellent use of the site’s natural contours. Generous fairways, strategically positioned bunkers, eight lakes and two streams create a layout that is both enjoyable and demanding, with the ever-present Castilian wind often adding an extra layer of challenge.

Alps Tour returns to Metz for the 23rd Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or
France, June 3rd, 2026 – For the 11th event of the season, the Alps Tour heads to northeastern France for the traditional Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or. A fixture on the circuit since 2005, the tournament will celebrate its 23rd edition this year.
As usual, the event will be played at Golf Domaine de la Grange aux Ormes, near Metz, from June 5th to 7th.
The tournament will offer a minimum prize fund of €49,000, along with 45,000 Order of Merit points, including €7,100 and 6,525 points awarded to the winner.
The competition will be played over 54 holes of stroke play, with a cut after 36 holes to the top 40 professionals and ties, including all amateurs within the cut. In the event of a tie after 54 holes, a sudden-death playoff will determine the champion.
On June 4th, the traditional Tour Scramble Pro-Am will take place.
The Field
Following his promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour thanks to a third victory of the season at the Open de Roissy – Grand Prix PGA France, Italy’s Andrea Romano leaves the door open for a new leader to emerge.
France’s Maxime Legros now has the opportunity to earn his own promotion should he capture a third title this season.
Standing in his way will be England’s Mason Essam, runner-up in Roissy, and France’s Théo Boulet, who arrives in good form after securing his first podium finish of the year last week. Fellow Frenchman Paul Franquet, now up to sixth in the Order of Merit, will look to continue his rise up the rankings.
The field is composed of 134 players, including 56 French players and 25 amateurs.
The Course
For the 2026 Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or, players will compete at Golf Domaine de la Grange aux Ormes, located just outside Metz in eastern France. Set within a historic estate dominated by an eighteenth-century château with medieval origins, the venue offers a unique blend of heritage and championship golf.
Designed by Philippe Gourdon, the 18-hole Le Bois Brûlé course stretches 6,436 metres and plays to a par 70 across gently undulating terrain. Lined by century-old trees, protected by strategic water hazards and framed by views of the Val Messin countryside, the course rewards both power and precision.
Renowned for its excellent year-round conditioning and its iconic water driving range overlooked by the château, Grange aux Ormes has long been a prestigious host of the Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or and remains one of the leading tournament venues in eastern France.
The club is also home to the 9-hole Le Breuil course, providing an additional playing and practice option for golfers of all abilities.

Andrea Romano wins the Open de Roissy – Grand Prix PGA France and earns HotelPlanner Tour promotion
France, May 30th, 2026 – Once again, Andrea Romano proved he has been the standout player on the Alps Tour this season. Starting the final round two shots behind the lead, the Italian produced a flawless 65 (-7) to capture his third title of the season after victories at the Red Sea Little Venice Open and the New Giza Open.
This latest success also secures him direct promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour, awarded to any player who reaches three victories in a single Alps Tour season.
England’s Mason Essam mounted a remarkable charge from further back on the leaderboard. Despite a bogey on the 12th, the Englishman carded an outstanding 63 (-9) but ultimately finished one stroke short of Romano.
Overnight leader Louis Darthenay was unable to match Romano’s pace on Sunday and eventually shared third place alongside fellow Frenchmen Paul Franquet and Théo Boulet.
With this victory, Romano earns €7,900 and significantly extends his lead at the top of the Order of Merit, ahead of France’s Maxime Legros. The remainder of the top five is made up of Robert Moran (3rd), Pablo Alperi Lopez (4th) and Mario Galiano Aguilar (5th).
The race for qualification to the 2026 Hulencourt Alps Tour Grand Final and promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour will resume from Friday, June 5th, at Golf de La Grange aux Ormes for the 2026 Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or.

I thought seven under might give me a chance, so to shoot two better and still come up one short is tough, but I’m really happy with second place. My game has been close all season, and this week I managed to put everything together. The golf course was great, the organisers did a fantastic job, and now I’m looking forward to a couple of days off before heading to Metz.”

France’s Louis Darthenay takes slim lead into final round of the Open de Roissy – Grand Prix PGA France
France, May 29th, 2026 – After carding a superb 65 (-7) in the morning despite a lone bogey, Italy’s Alessandro Nodari looked set to lead heading into the final round of the Open de Roissy – Grand Prix PGA France. But his -11 total was eventually surpassed in the closing moments of the day.
Late in the afternoon, Frenchman Louis Darthenay moved into the lead thanks to a matching 65 (-7). Coming from the national field, Darthenay already experienced contention on the Alps Tour when he challenged for victory at the 2024 Lacanau Alps Open.
France’s Dorian Fournier sits in third place, two shots behind the leader, alongside Italy’s Andrea Romano. The current Order of Merit leader produced a sensational 62 (-10), setting the lowest score in the history of Golf International de Roissy.
For tomorrow’s final round, play will begin at 8:40 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th tees. At the conclusion of the third round, the winner will receive €7,900 and 6,525 Order of Merit points. In the event of a tie, a playoff will determine the champion.

French rookie Alexandre Bauduin shines early at the Open de Roissy – Grand Prix PGA France
France, May 28th, 2026 – The warm temperatures in the Paris region did little to slow down Alexandre Bauduin on Thursday. The 23-year-old French rookie, in his first professional season, carded an impressive 64 (-8) to take the opening-round lead at the Open de Roissy – Grand Prix PGA France.
On the demanding layout of Golf International de Roissy, the C&S Golf Team player recorded nine birdies and just one bogey, coming at the 17th hole.
Playing also in the afternoon wave, fellow Frenchman Xavier Poncelet also impressed, signing a flawless 66 (-6) to sit two shots back. A group of three players shares third place at -5: Spaniard Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela, Dutchman Lars Keunen and Frenchman Louis Darthenay.

France, May 27th, 2026 – The Alps Tour heads to a brand-new venue this week as the Open de Roissy-Grand Prix PGA France joins the schedule for the first time. Created in 2020, the tournament is now officially sanctioned by the Alps Tour and will be played at Golf International de Roissy, located just a drive away from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The Field

After finishing second and third respectively in Lacanau, France’s Nathan Legendre and Spain’s Jorge Maicas will aim to carry their strong form into this week. The entire top 15 in the Order of Merit is present in Roissy.

Anthony Grenier turns back the clock with Lacanau Alps Open victory
France, May 23rd, 2026 – With a tightly packed leaderboard and everything still to play for on Saturday at UGOLF Lacanau, experience ultimately made the difference. Starting the day two shots off the lead and nearly 40 minutes ahead of the final group, Anthony Grenier produced the perfect final round to claim the Lacanau Alps Open title.
The 50-year-old Frenchman, who joined the Legends Tour earlier this season, carded a flawless 65 (-7) to secure victory. It marks his second Alps Tour title — remarkably, 18 years after his first win, which came at the 2008 Lyoness Open in Austria.
Fellow Frenchman Nathan Legendre tried to chase him down but eventually finished alone in second place, two shots back. Another French player completed the podium, with Louis Bonté sharing third place alongside Spain’s Jorge Maicas.
The players will return to action on Thursday, May 28th, once again in France for the Open de Roissy PGA France.

England’s Mason Essam takes early lead in Lacanau
France, May 21st, 2026 – Playing in sunny morning conditions, Mason Essam delivered a flawless opening round on the Ardilouse course at UGOLF Lacanau to take the early lead at the Lacanau Alps Open.

Currently 29th in the Order of Merit, Essam holds a two-shot advantage over an Italian trio made up of Luca Cavalli, Mattia Comotti, and current Order of Merit leader Andrea Romano.
For Round 2, play will begin at 7:45 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th tees. At the conclusion of the second round, a cut will be made to the top 40 professionals and ties, who will advance to the final round (including all amateurs within the cut).

Alps Tour heads to France for the 2026 Lacanau Alps Open
France, May 20th, 2026 – For the first time this season, the Alps Tour arrives in France for the third edition of the Lacanau Alps Open. Played around 40 minutes from Bordeaux and close to the Atlantic coastline, the tournament takes place at UGOLF Lacanau, in the seaside town of Lacanau. Players are expected to enjoy sunny and spring-like conditions this week in a lush and scenic setting.
A minimum prize fund of €53,000 will be on offer, along with 45,000 Order of Merit points, including €7,900 and 6,525 points awarded to the winner.
The competition will be played over 54 holes of stroke play, with a cut after 36 holes to the top 40 professionals and ties, including all amateurs within the cut. In the event of a tie after 54 holes, a sudden-death playoff will determine the champion.
The Field
The battle for the top of the Order of Merit continues in southwest France. Back at No. 1, Italy’s Andrea Romano will look to strengthen his position, while home favourite Maxime Legros hopes to reclaim the lead on French soil. Both players could earn immediate promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour with a victory this week.
In strong form after three podium finishes in his last four tournaments, France’s Augustin Holé, now sixth in the standings, will aim to break into the top five at the expense of Ireland’s Robert Moran (3rd) and Spain’s Mario Galiano Aguilar (4th) and Pablo Alperi Lopez (5th).
The field is composed of 144 players, including 18 amateurs, with 75 French players competing this week.
The Course
For the 2026 Lacanau Alps Open, players will compete at the UGOLF Lacanau in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, approximately 55 kilometres west of Bordeaux. Nestled between the lake and the Atlantic Ocean, in the heart of a preserved national forest, the renowned 18-hole Ardilouse course offers a unique combination of tranquillity, strategy, and natural beauty.
Designed by John Harris and opened in 1980, the layout winds through sandy dunes and towering pine trees, featuring a variety of holes that have earned it an international reputation among players of all levels. Its mild coastal climate and pristine surroundings promise excellent playing conditions and a memorable golf experience.
