Nicolas Mourlon 2 clear

alps-tour

France’s Nicolas Mourlon, 30 year old, shot 64 minus 7 to lead Open de la Mirabelle d’Or in France. Behind, his fellows are numerous and until 9th place there are only French players on the leaderboard. Roman Hamon, Guillaume Cambis and young amateur Clément Sordet are 2 strokes back of the pole position then a group of 5 players are one shot more behind: Emilien Chamaulte, Raphael Marguery, Michael Hill, Edwin Thomann and amateur Florian Loutre.

The rain has been falling all day long more or less. The fairways were wet but so were the greens to help players to be closed to the pins. The weather did not affect the leader at all he said but nothing seemed today to bother him.

“I never worried about any part of my game today. That is a pretty good feeling. I was very comfortable with my driving, my long game was great and I putted well. I have been working hard on this for the last weeks. I did not play in Italy neither in Pléneuf to first have some time off at home and second, try to feel better on the green. I changer my putter 5 times during the last 2 weeks and finally I choose the old one…”

The projected cut is level par
