Hulencourt Alps Tour Grand Final set to decide the 2026 season

Genappe, Belgium, October 13th, 2026 – The 2026 Alps Tour season comes to a close in Belgium this week, with the Hulencourt Alps Tour Grand Final taking place from October 15–17 at Hulencourt. With the final Order of Merit standings still to be decided, the season-ending event promises three days of intense competition, with 60,000 Order of Merit points on offer, including 9,500 for the winner.

Italy’s Andrea Romano and France’s Alexandre Vandermoten and Maxime Legros will battle for the Order of Merit title. All three have already secured their place on the 2027 HotelPlanner Tour after winning at least three tournaments this season, but the overall rankings remain to be settled.

The race for the final Top 5 is just as compelling, with 12 players still in contention for promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour. With so much at stake, every shot could prove decisive as the players compete for a place among the season’s leading performers.

The tournament will be contested over 54 holes of stroke play, with no cut. In the event of a tie after 54 holes, the champion will be decided by a sudden-death playoff. A total prize fund of €60,000 will be on offer, with the winner taking home €10,000 and 9,500 Order of Merit points.

The Hulencourt Alps Tour Grand Final will determine the final Order of Merit for the 2026 season. The leading five players will earn a Category 12b on the HotelPlanner Tour for 2027. The event will also determine playing categories for next season, with Category 4 awarded to the top 35 players and ties, including amateurs, and Category 7 awarded to players finishing from 36th to 50th and ties, including amateurs.

The Field

The battle for the remaining places in the Top 5 promises to be particularly intense, with 12 players still in contention for promotion to the 2027 HotelPlanner Tour. Spain’s Pablo Alperi Lopez, currently fourth, and Ireland’s Sam Murphy, in 15th, are among those still mathematically able to reach the qualifying positions. With the season coming to a close, the Grand Final offers one last opportunity to secure promotion.

The event will also feature Andrea Romano, Alexandre Vandermoten and Maxime Legros, the three players still in contention for the 2026 Order of Merit title. All three have already secured their place on the 2027 HotelPlanner Tour following their multiple victories this season.

A total of 48 players will tee it up at Hulencourt this week, all ranked inside the season’s Top 50 on the Order of Merit. The field represents 10 different nations: Argentina, Austria, England, France, Ireland, Italy, Jersey, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland. It also includes 10 of the 11 tournament winners from the 2026 season.

The Course

For the first time, the Alps Tour heads to Hulencourt in Genappe, in the Belgian countryside just south of Brussels, for its season-ending Grand Final. The venue will provide the setting for the decisive event of the 2026 season.

The Grand Final will be played on Le Vallon, the club’s championship course. Designed by French architect Jean-Manuel Rossi in 1988, the course underwent a major renovation led by Frank Pont and Hendrik Hilgert of Infinite Variety Golf Design, which was officially inaugurated in June 2020. Le Vallon is a par 72 measuring 6,686 metres, with all four par 5s stretching beyond 500 metres, placing a premium on power and distance control.

The course is in excellent condition and features gently undulating terrain and several holes with water hazards, adding variety and further challenges to the layout. Combined with its length and strategically designed holes, these features will test players’ accuracy and course management throughout the tournament.

Tournament Promoter and Sponsors

The Hulencourt Alps Tour Grand Final is promoted and sponsored by Hulencourt, with logistic support from the Royal Belgian Golf Federation.
