Roquetas de Mar, June 9th, 2026 – For the 12th event of the season, the Alps Tour heads to the Province of Almería in Southern Spain for the 2026 Alps de Andalucía-Roquetas de Mar – the first event of the season held on Spanish soil.

Club de Golf Playa Serena in Roquetas de Mar will host an Alps Tour event for the fourth time overall and for the third consecutive year, with this week’s Alps de Andalucía–Roquetas de Mar taking place from June 11–13.

Thanks to the support of the Real Federación Española de Golf (RFEG), the tournament prize fund has been increased by €5,000. This boost reinforces the shared commitment of the Alps Tour, the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, and JGolf to continue supporting young professional golfers and to provide the best possible competitive opportunities.

This week’s event will offer a minimum prize fund of €54,000, along with 45,000 Order of Merit points, including €7,900 and 6,525 points awarded to the winner.

The 2026 Alps de Andalucía-Roquetas de Mar will be contested over 54-holes of stroke-play, with a cut after 36 holes to the top 40 professionals and ties, including all amateurs within the cut. In the event of a tie at the conclusion of the final round, the tournament winner will be decided by a sudden-death play-off.

On June 10th, the traditional Tour Scramble, best two balls Pro-Am will occur.

The Field

As the season enters a decisive phase, this week’s tournament will play a key role in the battle for the Order of Merit, with eight of the current top ten players set to compete.

The strong field also includes four winners from the 2026 season: Ireland’s Sam Murphy, France’s Alexandre Vandermoten and Paul Franquet, and Spain’s Alejandro Rodriguez Andreu, all looking to capture another title.

The only two players missing this week from the current top ten are Order of Merit leader and defending champion Andrea Romano of Italy, and France’s Maxime Legros, who sits second in the standings. Both players have already secured three wins so far this season, earning direct promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour for the remainder of the year.

Home hopes will be high, with a strong Spanish contingent in the field, led by Pablo AlperiMario Galiano Aguilar, and Gonzalo Leal, as all three are inside the top ten of the current Order of Merit standings.

In addition to a strong Spanish contingent, the field features players from many of the Alps Tour’s established golfing nations, including France and Italy, alongside competitors from Ireland, England, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Jersey, the Czech Republic, Argentina, the United States Of America, Wales, Monaco, and other countries.

This week’s tournament represents an important opportunity for players to strengthen their position in the Order of Merit race and build momentum heading into the next phase of the season ahead of the 2026 Hulencourt Alps Tour Grand Final.
