France’s Maxime Legros extends his lead ahead of the final round

Egypt, April 20th, 2026 – France’s Maxime Legros continued his strong form at Dreamland Golf Club, extending his lead after the second round of the Dreamland Open. Despite an early bogey on his second hole, the current ninth in the Order of Merit produced another solid performance, carding a 66 (-6) highlighted by seven birdies.

Chasing his first Alps Tour title, Legros now holds a four-shot advantage over fellow Frenchman Alexis Leray, who posted a 67 (-5) in Round 2.

Another French player, 2024 Order of Merit winner Benjamin Kedochim, sits in a share of third place alongside Spain’s Pablo Alperi, runner-up at the Villa Paradiso Alps Open.

For tomorrow’s final round, play will begin at 8:00 a.m. from both the 1st and 10th tees. At the conclusion of the third round, the winner will receive €6,200 and 6,525 Order of Merit points. In the event of a tie, a playoff will determine the champion.

Maxime Legros : “I felt really good during the warm-up, but I had a tough start with a few poor swings that led to a bogey on a par 5. After that, I stuck to the same game plan as yesterday and managed to execute it well. I drove the ball really well, which makes a big difference on this course. For the final round, I’ll stick to the same strategy and hopefully get the same outcome.”

Alexis Leray : “I’ve made very few mistakes, just two bogeys in two rounds. There’s no particular part of my game making the difference, but I have good speed on the greens, which helps me avoid errors. I’m in position to compete for the win — it’s not the first time this season — and I’ll give it my all. I’ll need to stay focused and sharp all day tomorrow.”
