
The Pursuit of a 2026 Alps Tour playing category is underway.
Italy, November 5th, 2025– A total of 181 players are competing across three venues in Italy for 86 spots that will grant access to next week’s 2025 Alps Tour Qualifying School Final Stage.
During next week’s event, players will have the opportunity to secure playing status for the 2026 season. The Final Stage of the Qualifying School will be contested at Golf Nazionale and Terre dei Consoli Golf Club, located in northern Rome, from November 12th – 14th.
The Alps Tour would like to thank Golf Club Le Fonti, Conero Golf Club, and Golf Il Cerreto di Miglianico for their kind hospitality and for the exceptional work done in preparing their courses for this week’s Stage 1 competitions.
This week, players are competing at Golf Club Le Fonti, Conero Golf Club, and Golf Il Cerreto di Miglianico. At the first venue, Golf Club Le Fonti, there are 64 players in the field and 30 spots available; at Conero Golf Club, there are 48 players in the field and 23 spots available to qualify; and at Golf Il Cerreto di Miglianico, 69 players are competing with 33 spots to be promoted into the Qualifying School Finals.
Stage 1 Qualifier at Golf Club Le Fonti
After the opening round of the Stage 1 Qualifier currently being held at Golf Club Le Fonti, Irish amateur Sam Murphy and French amateur Martin Frerot share the lead with a first-round score of 3-under-par 68. In second place at 2-under-par is Dean Netzel from the United States of America. There is a four-way tie for fourth place at 1-under-par that includes: Fiorino Clerici from Switzerland, French amateur Thomas Delmas, Valentin Wittgruber from Austria, and Vasco Alves from Portugal.
Tomorrow’s round, starting at 8:00 a.m. local time, will determine the 30 players who advance to next week’s Alps Tour Q-School Final Stage.
Stage 1 Qualifier at Conero Golf Club
At Conero Golf Club, Spain’s Alvaro Morales took the early lead in the Stage 1 Qualifier with a 4-under-par 67. His fellow countryman Alberto Dominguez follows closely at 3-under-par, while amateur Vladimir Orlov and Italian amateur Tommaso Ajolfi are tied for third place at 2-under-par. French amateur Enzo Desgranges completes the top five, with a first-round score of 1 under par.
After tomorrow’s final round, the top 23 players will advance to next week’s event. Play is scheduled to begin at 8:15 a.m. local time.
Stage 1 Qualifier at Golf Il Cerreto di Miglianico
Following Round 1 of the Stage 1 Qualifier at Golf Il Cerreto di Miglianico, Italian amateur Eugenio Bernardi leads with a 5-under-par 65. Italy’s Nicolo’ Severa is in second place at 4-under-par, while French amateur Alexandre Bauduin, Irish amateur Stephen Grant, Spanish amateur Alex Verges Vila, and Italian amateur Alessandro Ravizza are tied for third place at 3-under-par.
Following the completion of tomorrow’s final round, the top 33 players will progress to the Final Stage of the 2025 Alps Tour Qualifying School, where they will compete for the opportunity to earn playing status for the 2026 season.
