G.C. Le Fonti and Conero Golf Club promote the top 55 players into the 2024 Q-School Finals. 

Italy, November 8th, 2024– The players competing at Golf Club Le Fonti and Conero Golf Club concluded their Stage 1 Qualifier today, where the top 28 players from G.C. Le Fonti and the top 27 players from Conero Golf Club were promoted into the 2024 Q-School Finals.

Due to fog, the Stage 1 Qualifier held at Golf del Ducato Parma – La Rocca was suspended at 1:49 p.m. local time. It was resumed at 3:05 p.m. local time; however, at 5:00 p.m. play had to be suspended again due to darkness. It will resume tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m., where the final spots will be given out. The top 26 players will qualify for next week’s Q-School Finals.

The players who qualified from the Stage 1 events held at Golf Club Le Fonti and Conero Golf Club gained access to the Final Stage of Alps Tour Q-School, which will take place at Golf Nazionale and Terre dei Consoli Golf Club in Northern Rome from November 13th-15th. After next week’s event, the best-ranked players can earn playing status for the 2025 season.

Stage 1 Qualifier at Golf Club Le FontiItaly’s Alessandro Nodari, who already was in the lead after yesterday’s first round, concludes the 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School Stage 1 Qualifier held at Golf Club Le Fonti in 1st place with a two-day score of 6 under-par (136). Adrian Soriano from the United States of America and Italian amateur Pietro Gavazzi conclude the tournament in a 2-way tie for 2nd place with a total score of 5 under-par (137). David Nagiev and Malte Von Blankenfeld from Germany conclude the qualifier in a 2-way tie for 4th place with a two-day score of 4 under-par (138).

After today’s round, the top 28 players in the final leaderboard earned their spot in the field of next week’s 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School Final Stage. France’s Gautier Brisout de Barneville will be the 2nd alternate, Italian amateur Riccardo Cavina will be the 5th alternate, and Italian amateur Niccolo Bertuletti will be the 8th alternate at next week’s Alps Tour Q-School Finals.

Stage 1 Qualifier at Conero Golf Club

France’s Victor Veyret shot one of the lowest scores of the day at the Stage 1 Qualifier held at Conero Golf Club to conclude his qualifier in 1st place with a two-day score of 7 under-par (135). In 2nd place, with a two-day total of 5 under-par (137), another fellow French player, Mathieu Francois-Mir who was tied for the lead after yesterday’s first round. In an 8-way tie for 3rd place with a total score of 1 under-par (141), Italy’s Jacopo Albertoni and amateur Giovanni Pittarello and Lorenzo Bruzzone (am), Argentina’s Grego Ferrandez, Ireland’s Brandon St John, England’s Luca Houlgate and French amateur Thibault Frestel and Dorian Fournier (am).

At the end of today’s round, the top 27 players in the final in the final scoreboard earned a spot into next week’s 2024 Alps Tour Qualifying School Final Stage, where they will try and earn their playing status for the 2025 season. French amateur Jean Chevalier will be the 3rd alternate, England’s Joe Ellis will be the 6th alternate, and James Sharp from England will be the 9th alternate at next week’s Alps Tour Q-School Finals.
